We spent 3 days, 4 nights at Gone Fishing. We had a great time exploring the surrounding area. We found several great hiking trails. Gone Fishing Rv Resort was the perfect place to stay. It was very clean and well run. Al was great and full knowledge. The individual sites are very well arranged with plenty of space to stretch out. Thanks for everything Al.

For an older RV park, it is a great place to stay. Its actually a nice change from the typical concrete jungle RV parks. Nice and quiet. Very mature trees, a lot of grass, with gravel roads and spaces. Clean. Less than 1/2 a mile from the Cross Timbers Trail Head. Al and his wife have been the owners for about a year, and there is definitely pride in ownership. It is a smaller park, but I had no issues navigating the park with my 40' Class A towing a Jeep.

53 days! What started out as a 3 night stay ended as 53 days here at Gone Fishing RV Resort. This is our 3rd time here at the park and it continues to be a gem. Always clean and quiet the park is reminiscent of yesteryears and attracts the nicest people. We were fortunate to be able to attend the two get togethers organized by the owners Al & Tauna. This is our last day and we are sad to be leaving. We are looking forward as we know we will be returning in the fall.

Great Christian people ! Ha don't send your loved ones here unless you wanting the older people taking advantage of and robbing your money. Charged my kid brother $150.00 electric deposit and $250.00 for week stay .

The owners are outstanding, and this resort is in the perfect location to hit Lake Texoma for some fishing. Definitely heading back for a visit.

We had a wonderful time there and the homemade pumpkin bread was delicious. The owners are so kind and thoughtful. They really made our weekend away wonderful. Can’t wait to go back.

Very impressed from the moment we drove onto the property. Very well laid out, clean, and was greater by the owners right away. The bathrooms and showers are brand new, very clean and nice. Hookups work perfect, plus there is wifi through the area. Excellent.

We've been staying at this gated RV Resort since May, 2023. The new owners are amazing! Customer service is top notch and they do everything to make you feel at home. There is complimentary trash pickup, a dog walking area with dog stations, benches for relaxing and watching stunning sunsets, on-site laundry, propane and ice for sale and a fish cleaning station. Park also has complimentary wi-fi and Verizon and AT&T work well here. Owners are currently in the process of remodeling the office, 3 bathrooms and they are adding a fitness area. There will be a general store complete with snack items and ice cream once complete. Lake Texoma and the boat launch is 1/4 mile away. The owners provide complimentary boat launch passes also. There is a casino with cafe approximately 1 mile away, 9-hole golf course about 2 miles away and multiple restaurants and shopping within a half hour. We highly recommend this RV Resort. Give it a try, you won't be disappointed!

We travel a lot with our RV. Of the parks we have stayed at, this is one of the best. We got there at almost 10pm on Friday and they came right out to help us locate our spot. This park is under new ownership and Shannon and Dwain have cleaned it up and doing much needed repairs and updating of the facility. They have a laundry room, adding several bathrooms and showers, and a workout room. They also have put in a fish cleaning station because Lake Texoma is a good lake to fish. We highly recommend giving this park a try. We will be coming back.

Gone Fishing RV park is unique. Under the new ownership of Shannon and Dwain it is outstanding. This was the first time we had stayed there but assuredly it will not be the last. These guys waited for our arrival until 7:30 pm. The folks that bought this park are putting their hearts and souls into making it a great park, and they are succeeding. Extremely pet friendly with fenced exercise area and bath. For the humans, new showers, new laundry and in park store are kept cleaner than any park we have been to. Dwain is working in the park daily making it better. This park is convenient to Lake Texoma and I understand some great hunting as well. Just over the new bridge is a casino. The park might not be on a major freeway but easy to get to. I am asking all who travel, find this place, you will not be disappointed.

The RV sites are all beautiful with water, electric and sewer and is a gated community for safety. There are so many beautiful trees and the whole park is so clean. The owners have 2 bathrooms with toilets, sinks and nice tile walk in showers for their guests to use as well as a laundry mat. There is a convenient store on site with the essentials that you may have left behind, ice, ice-cream and more. I can't say enough about the owners Dewayne amd Shannon. They are so welcoming and friendly. This is a pet friendly park. They sponsored a taco night for the whole park over this Labor Day weekend, where we all brought our chairs, met the other guests and enjoyed an evening of great food and fellowship. We rate this site a 10+ and highly recommend it.

We stayed here over the Memorial weekend. Al and his wife are a pleasure to rent from. The park is clean, quiet and we really enjoyed the location in proximity to the marina.

We had the pleasure of staying for 4 1/2 months as camp hosts. This is a great park that is clean, safe, and secure. We had a great camp host experience here. Al and Tauna made us feel like family as well as everyone else. The park is secured with a gate and its also a propane filling station. Sites are long and shaded. We will always treasure our time spent here and the wonderful friendships we made.

Awesome place to stay if you are looking for a quiet and peaceful place to stay. The owners are great and went out of there way to make us feel welcome. Will definitely stay there again as soon as we can.

We have stayed at Gone Fishing RV Resort three times in the last three years. It's well located for access to Lake Texoma with a boat ramp in the Corps of Engineer Campground that is literally "next door." The sites are well shaded and generous with excellent utilities. Al has spent a lot of time upgrading the electrical and it was rock solid during our stay. He runs a tight ship with an automatic gate that is closed during the night. He lives in an apartment overlooking the campground and he knows if anyone has come or gone. He's also frequently on the grounds in his golf cart. Just the right balance of regulars and visitors. He has propane and ice on site and knows how to fill a propane tank properly. The price on propane is very competitive. You can't just show up. You must fill out a request from the website and he will contact you to confirm. If you are looking for a loud, wild weekend with 30 of your best friends this is not your place. However, if you are looking for a safe, quiet, enjoyable place to camp this is a place you can count on at any time of year. You will also be expected to use your own RV bathroom and shower. There are major services in nearby Whitesboro and well stocked convenience stores near by on US 377. Easy access from the highway. We will be back every time we are in the area.

We had a great stay at Gone Fishin'. Areas for exercising the dog and nice walking around the park. Nice treed spaces, each with a picnic table. Al and Tauna were great and we will definitely go back when we have more time! All hook-ups were as they should be and we were also able to fill up on propane while there. I cannot comment on the other facilities (laundry, restrooms) but I would assume that Al and Tauna keep those as they keep the rest of the park - which would be five stars!

We just returned from a wonderful four day stay at Gone Fishing. The place is fabulous - neat, clean, with beautiful tall trees. A very nice camping spot, hosted by a very nice couple - Al and Tauna. We highly recommend Gone Fishing, and we will definitely be back again.

Highly recommended! As a camping family we were short propane for an upcoming cold spell. I called and Al was ready when I arrived. He was incredibly courteous and refilled all of our tanks with a smile. The grounds were beautiful with a ton of trees. If we were from out of town and looking for a spot, I would absolutely stay there!
