Wow, $73.00 for 3 burgers that were burned, dry and had wilted lettuce, cold, plain "crinkle fries" (not seasoned like we thought we were getting) and 6 HARD, dry, disappointing half wings that were advertised as "whole wings", but weren't. At first we were like okay this looks good except for the wings. Then, saw the lettuce and then took a bite, took off the bun to find a very well done (not medium well) burger. I mean come on...if you need 40 minutes to make a good Juicy Lucy then do it right. Not only is the 7/8 club and Matt's better they out run you with the price. Added a $5 tip for a take out just because and had we seen what we were getting first it wouldn't have been accepted and there wouldn't have been a tip. Sure, the guy taking the order didn't make the food, but he packed it and sold it to us as edible. Have this place a 1 star for obvious reasons. Won't be back.

Great interior with some decent views around the area. Parking lot is a bit of a mess with very poorly defined spaces. The food was solid. And the sides have a good variety. I suggest the sweet potato tots with the cinnamon dip. Had 2 cocktails and liked them both. Service was reasonably quick as well. There is a large selection on the menu of Americana foods and a few Mexican style dishes. We really liked the Buffalo Quesadilla appetizers. The price was a bit up there for 2 meals, 3 cocktails, and 1 appetizer. came out to over $90, add a tip to put it over 100. Could just be our own fault for ordering the fancy meats for our burgers. The food was all good, I wish we had saved room for dessert. I would definitely come back here.

Had the Shroom & Swiss Burger, So good! Cooked perfectly to order! Melted in my mouth! My wife had the Reuben also fantastic!! Update: We had a couple Chef Salads, & they were Fantastic!! (see pics) We also got some chicken wild rice soup, that unfortunately was a bit of a disappointment, mostly cream base, not a lot of rice or chicken, it got pretty thin halfway through. Overall, a very good place to eat!!

hey ha all, as always this place is awesome... i visited the day before our state tells them to shut down probably 90 percent of there business. shame on our goverment who works for us. lets help them by ordering out.

Dinner out on patio meets with hostile host. Wanted to sit outside in patio area which only one table was occupied. Nice evening breezy. Host person who sat us was really rude like we were bothering her for coming to eat dinner and she didn’t hold back in letting us know she was unwelcoming. We almost left after she snapped loudly at us about putting the umbrella up. It was a polite question asking if it was okay to put it up. Table was dirty covered in drink rings and other sticky material. Person taking our order was nice and cleaned table. The whole point of going out is to have a relaxing meal and drink. Instead we were unwelcomed guests from the get go and it was definitely made clear we were not welcome by the first person who should be welcoming. Three women came to sit in patio about 25 minutes after we got seated and got same hostile treatment from host woman and these three women walked out and left. After being seated for 35 minutes we finally got our drinks. Ordered but still waiting. Very slow night and few cars and no one else now outside. Drink glasses empty. Horrible service. I don’t understand how you offer outside seating and then treat customers unwelcome for utilizing the patio. We have gone to buffalo tap for takeout and outdoor seating for the past two years supporting them and other local businesses during the pandemic. Unfortunately it seems the customer service and regular supporting customers are not wanted. I guess times are do good now the staff can be hostile. So we’ll go elsewhere. A host/hostess is the first and last person you often see and interface with. If this is who Buffalo tap wants as their representative well we won’t be back. Our patronage of four or five times a month is not even worth courtesy of basic civility. The wait person told us it was slow. Well yes it is because of nastiness by staff.

Buffalo Tap is your perfect "casual" and "relaxing" place to meet up with friends or family and eat "feel good" Minnesota favorites, perhaps watch a game, or drink a few craft beers from their extensive list of regional and local beers. I have met clients here 4 or 5 times over the past two years. The location is perfect for me - just off of Highway 13 in Savage. Super easy access from the main road. The building has been here for a long time, and is nestled into a small creek that runs right next to the Buffalo Tap. It has an enormous parking lot. Inside, the restaurant bar is divided by cozy stone partitions, and each room is different in decor from the others. I love love the large "nook" table that holds like 8 people tucked into a small "porch" that juts out of the side of the Tap. It has windows all around, and the creek is just right there next to your table. The waiters and waitresses are efficient and attentive. Most are "well seasoned" staff, having been working at the Tap for many, many years. Orders were brought to the table quickly and efficiently. Food is traditional "feel good" food, and all the burgers I have tried have been fantastic. I especially love the "Juicy Lucy", featuring lots of cheese and is enormous. I've also enjoyed the "Diablo" burger, with jalapeno peppers and BBQ sauce. I also love their wings when drinking from their large beer menu. An easy 5-star review for Buffalo Tap. Highlights are the extensive beer menu, casual and comfortable seating and bar areas, easy location to Highway 13, and the experienced and efficient staff.

We had a regular order of Spicy cheese curds and I had the El Diablo Juicy Lucy Burger 🍔. They both tasted pretty darn amazing, but be ready to eat. Lot's of food you get with Both of them. You won't be disappointed!

Nice place, I went i and was seated next to a window facing a wooded area and a stream, felt very peaceful. I decided on the Old Wisconsin Burger, it was pretty good, so was the service.

One of my favorite places in Minnesota and definitely the best spot south of the river. The wings are so good. I had bbq and teriyaki wings and they were cooked to perfection. All were tender and came right off the bone. I also got the Old Wisconsin Juicy Lucy and loved it. It’s one of the best juicy Lucy’s in the state. Highly recommend. The wait staff was also super good. They were all so nice and inviting.

This has always been a very popular place and very busy on Friday and Saturday nights. Service is always good and the food is usually good, too. I have ordered the parmesan crusted juicy Lucy and loved it although it's a pretty greasy sandwich. The last time there I ordered the fried chicken and I have to say it left a lot to be desired. Very overcooked, it was beyond crusty, more like too crunchy and the meat was dry. Stick with what they are known for, burgers. My wife had yhe Cobb salad and she loved it. Enough for two meals.

Friendly local restaurant with high quality food at a decent price. First off the cheese curds here are as good as you get at the state fair so save yourself a trip or get your fix out of season. I've tried a number of items here and they are all good from the buffalo chicken to taco salad (more Midwestern style than true Mexican), burgers apps are all good. The stand out though is the steak sandwich, a full dang steak on a roll tender enough to bite off of without struggling much at all.

Wings and LARGE mugs of beer! Buffalo Parm sauce is my favorite.

They may have the best burgers in the south metro. Cheese curds are something that will make your mouth explode with delight. Considering the size of the burgers, prices are reasonable. 1919 on tap as well to make sure your cheat day is complete. The only downside is the way the inside is set up. Lots of stairs and partitions. It's like they remodeled 5 times without thinking they would need any extra space again. It does add to the feel of the place though. Not a huge deal.

Service was low key and exactly what I wanted. Attentive bartender who left me alone but took care of me. Cheese curds were really good. Didn't really care for the Juicy Lucy they were advertising as their specialty, but probably not for me. Seemed high quality though. Much better than the sports bar and grill I originally was going to eat at.

i like the grilled meat they serve always hot and fresh definately will be back again soon.

I love fries, but these were DITW. Granted, this place was hopping - Savage Friday evening has got it going on. Ok, drinks prices were crazy! 8$ Woodford Old Fashioned, now that is some small town farm prices. Huge craft beers for 10$! I’d return just for those two things. The rueben was good. It was missing acidity, missing kraut, needed more or a fruit compote.

The menu here has a lot to choose from. There is a big variety of options. They have several burger and juciy lucy choices along with sandwiches and dinners. The atmosphere is very casual and the service was friendly.

Food was just ok this visit. Not sure why? Maybe they were just off this night? We'll probably give them another try? Probably? The cheese curds are good! State fair like. Do recommend those. It can be hard to find a good place for cheese curds! Our server needed a breath mint... they could've used his breath to kill the bison for their burgers at 100 yards.

Great place to go to and asked to be by a tv to watch the Derby and they sat us by a small TV which was OK. But then the hostess came back to our table and said they had a better place for us to sit and watch the Kentucky Derby so she moved us which was awesome it was by a big tv so we both got to watch. At first, the service was a little slow and took her a while to greet us, they were busy at the time. But after that the service was excellent! I got their Burger special the butcher Burger and it was so moist and delicious and loved the caramelized onions and melted cheese. We also got the mushroom Swiss Burger which the other person loved. We tried their wings and they were pretty good not the best I've had but okay. I prefer a little batter and crunch to my wings. I would recommend this place for its burgers!

Service took a lot longer than needed. Wings were dry. Atmosphere is fun though. Wedge fries were the best part.

The food is great. Service should be better. I've been here a handful of times, it's a great spot to sit down with some buddies and catch up. Had an email that said "happy birthday, come in and get free mini donuts or funnel cake." So I stopped by on my way to work and was told at the front I'd need to purchase an entree (which was not mentioned in the email) and was told 'its made to encourage people to come in and celebrate, not to just give away free stuff'. (Why send an email offering free stuff?) I'd say include that in the email, rather than bait and switch your customers. Tried to meet the guy halfway and asked if I could grab some cheese curds as well (their spicy cheese curds are amazing) but also hit a wall when the guy said 'if you order a large, which is $17+ we could make an exception' no way I'm going to eat a pound of cheese curds by myself, and then pile mini donuts on top. Kind of a shame. I'd have no problem if the email said purchase of am entree is required. But thinking you're being rewarded for being a repeat customer only to be worked over at the door under the guise of 'celebrating your Birthday' leaves a bad taste. Food is decent, but a little pricey. But probably won't be back, there are other places that make you feel more welcome/appreciated.

The staff was friendly, and the food was good. 4 stars because it's kind of overpriced. You can get a Juicy Lucy at other places for cheaper, and it actually comes with fries or tater tots.

Great food and service. I love the different types of fried fish offerings through out the US and sunfish was a first at a restaurant for me. They do a unique planco crumb on them. They do a great job at putting precautions in place for COVID.

Wonderful Staff and service. Food is great especially if you are looking for an alternative to beef. Feels like homemade. Yummy.

Great staff, chicken wings were amazing! One of my friends got one of the juicy Lucy burgers with sweet potato tots, and I'm not a huge fan of sweet potatoes, but those little guys changed my mind! The regular tots are great too! Oh, and if your missing REAL cheese curds, like at the fair, they have some fantastic cheese curds as well!

Food was very over priced. Got the parmesan garlic wings... We had to ask the waitress if she got the order correct. She said that she just had them too the other day and thought maybe they got rid of the parmesan and kept just the garlic and then added some hot sauce. Not good.

We love Buffalo Tap! The food is always hot and the bar staff and servers are always friendly. Only gripe would be that it seems like the wings have gotten really pricey for how many you actually get, but I don't know enough about food prices to expertly comment on that. We will be back, and I'm sure we'll be ordering wings! :)
