It's fine, except the ships can't dock and people need to get off by tender boats which takes longer. Once out the port there are taxis/buses and vendors selling trips. You are also right in the shopping center and bar area. $6 to take the cab to the beach.

Thanks to Hurricane Dorian, our 3 night Bahamian cruise turned into a 6 night cruise with a stop in Grand Cayman. It was awesome to hear all the Disney Dream Cast/Crew talk about how our ship had NEVER been to this port! Grand Cayman made sure our ship had plenty of adventures to go on while in port, and were so hospitable!

Water was post card perfect. Venders were not pushy like Jamaica. Since there was no terminal all ships had to use shuttles. Had to book a tour once we got there for the 100 ft submarine dive. Took the mid day one and had only 7 of us besides 3 crew in the sub. Very exciting. Town was very safe. Don't forget to take pics of the cops directing traffic.

Such an incredible place. Don’t bother asking if they will stamp your passport book, they get a bit angry about it. The water was crystal clear and the weather simply perfect! It was truly a magical time.

Docked anchor just off shore and shuttled to Port. Very organized. Clean. If you take tours, busses are clearly identified. The stingray and dolphin tour is a must.

Es una de las islas mas hermosas que hemos visitado, muy limpia, las Playas hermosas , sin palabras. Desembarca en el mar en pequeños botes, 10 minutos cada ída

Amazing tender services for our cruise provided by the port. Security was thorough but quick to get back in. People working there at the port of Grand Cayman were so friendly.

No pier, tender from the ship to the Cruise terminal in Cayman Islands tenders. Takes about 6 min. Can be rough for those prone to seasickness. Typical port facility with guarded entry and exits. A couple of overpriced "Duty Free" shops and a cafe. Lots of hawkers selling rides to the beaches, island tours, etc. Use at your own risk. Make sure you bring a photo ID with your SeaPass/voyage ID. Most foreign currencies accepted (I saw mainly Euro or USD) but download a currency converter and check their math. Major Credit Cards accepted, I saw one place that took ApplePay.

Honestly, I found the whole island underwhelming, as I had heard of it before and expected more. Plus it was super windy when we went so all water excursions were cancelled, which might have changed my perspective. We did take a tour bus around the island and went to "hell" and back (FYI it's literally a 5 minute attraction and not as exciting as it sounds but it's still fun to say). The beach was lovely though.

Need to take a boat from the ship to get to the island, so we left late. We didn't book an excursion, so we wound up not having a lot of time and the wait for the Tinder back was long

Not the most interesting places to go to. Nice that it's a safe place to visit and that Spotts Beach was a nice place for a swim. Not a place high on my list to return to.

It was raining today, not much open when there are no cruise ships in town. But we had a blast walking around and shopping at few of the stores that were open.

Port of grand cayman was busy but friendly, grounds were clean with a lot of shops for clothing, souvenirs and pharmaceutical needs. There are a few excursion desks for booking tours and excursions. Taxi services are available for a fee Weather was perfect and the air was fresh!

Nice port experience on recent cruise travel. The port security were a bit unpleasant but everything else in the Cayman Islands visit was pleasant.

Nice port, clean restrooms and several shops around the port. Be a smart shopper and compare prices for those souvenirs bc the price can be as much as $2 more for shot glasses and T-shirts. The port is clean and has benches and shade for shoppers to rest. Today the area was roped off all over. Not sure what that was about but it was an eyesore. Will visit again in the future. Merchants were mostly friendly, one store had you show your sail and sign card before you exited their shop which I thought was a little off putting. Otherwise it was a good port. This is a tendered port if you should cruise 🚢.

Loved it there. Went and swam with the Sting Rays, held one, stroked it's body, and even kissed it....LOL. It was what I was really looking forward to. And I was pleasantly pleased. My daughter, her husband, and the 4 grandkids all went. Everyone loved it. Then we all went to pet, rub, stroke the Dolphins. Was really cool, and everyone in the family liked that the best. Would recommend that excursion 110%. Was fantastic.

Best vacation stop ever! We stopped here on our Disney cruise and went to stingray cities. The original stingray city that is in open water on a sandbar. It was fabulous! Swimming with wild stingrays in their natural habitat vs. a tank. Lovely tourist friendly island that is beautiful. My husband and I have visited 3 times in the last 21 years it's just as wonder every time.

Visited here on a cruise ship. Seven Mile beach was just beautiful! Wish I could have stayed longer! Beach chairs and umbrella $25. Sometimes, you can barter them down as you are only there about 2.5 hours. Will be making another visit here!

I didn't like having to ride into a tenor to get back and forth to the cruise ship as well as there not much in the port and the vendors there even though they accept USD they will give you Euros back as change.

There is no port for bigger ships. We have to go on a ferry

This port was nice, but small. We couldn’t find a island/city bus, maybe because it was Sunday, so we tried to get a taxi. They only offered large bus like taxis going to 7 mile beach. We asked about a taxi to Spotts beach and were told we couldn’t get one. The lady in charge was very condescending about the whole thing. She called other people over to discuss that they couldn’t get a taxi for us and how silly it was that we even asked. Then once we gave up and decide we’re going to just ride the bus/taxi to 7 mile since that was our only option she came over and said that for $30 for the 4 mile drive to Spotts beach she could get us a taxi. We decided that $60 round trip to go 4 miles away was crazy that we’d stick with our other plan. They were holding signs that they offer rides to these 5 or so different beaches but half of the beaches are closed and they actually only drive you to one beach and drop you off and then you have to walk to the other beaches from there. It all seems a bit sketchy and strange to me. When we were almost to the beach the driver told us it’d be $24. The agreement when we boarded was $6 to go to the beach. We had 2 ppl so that’s $12, but he told us we had to pay $24 and meet him back at the bus at the pick up time he chose for us. It was all just a way for him to make sure we took his bus back so he could get our money. The whole experience at the port felt very underhanded and deceptive.

Nice port, as everyone says smaller but by design. Tender operation was smooth. All the shops were super commercialized. Island is super clean and expensive as you could expect.

The port was clean and safe....however; it is very small. We cruised in on the Carnival and had to take a Taxi/Shuttle like boat to the port(Favorite Part)It was so much fun.The water was beautiful...Can't wait to go bk.

No port infrastructure means we had to tender off of our cruise ship to get to port. Water was pretty choppy, which made the boat tender unstable. Port itself had the usual touristy shops and personnel to help direct people to where they needed to go. Overall, a proper port would make for a better experience for tourists.
