A very nice & large restaurant by the sea with plenty of seatings. Need reservation for dinner. We had lunch there & the place was empty, it gets busy in the evening. We went next day for dinner. Lunch special was $35 for appetizer or dessert + entree, can be chosen from regular menu too. We had Tuna patty, Vegetables curry with rice, beef soup, red snapper with rice & vegetables. Food was delicious & very good service. For dinner we had corn fed chicken kebab, Rack of lamb & both dishes were delicious. They served complementary bread with main course, could serve the bread before. Food was delicious both days. Tap water is safe to drink in the island, so we asked for tap water, did not buy bottled water. It is an expensive restaurant. Portion size is perfect. They add 18% service charge. Sunset view is amazing from the restaurant. We enjoyed our lunch & dinner here & i recommend this restaurant.

Gorgeous place to eat with delicious food and drinks. One of the best places I have been in Grand Cayman. We toured the old house after dinner, which was really cool! Wonderful staff! Highly recommend

We've been here a few times and always had a great meal. However this last trip my mom booked a private tasting dinner and that really blew us out of the water. The wine and food pairings were fantastic and the service was also top notch. Id recommend the Grand old house for a well rounded dining experience

Stunning place overlooking the Caribbean Sea. Table was fantastic with waves rolling in right beneath us. Wait staff was very friendly, the service just seemed a little disorganized. The food was a very interesting take on classic dishes. The mushroom ravioli was to die for. I have not seen Lobster Thermidor on a menu for decades, but there it was so i ordered it and was very pleased. The picture is of the Key Lime Pie. I would not have guessed that is what it is, there were almost no key limes harmed in the making of this. There were just hints of lime with the custard and meringue interspersed with intense fruit tastes to go along with the chocolate leaf.

If you're in Grand Cayman add this restaurant to your list to go to. The food is wonderful, service is excellent and the atmosphere couldn't get much better. Plan to get there and sit outside (weather permitting) and watch a beautiful sunset to start your evening. Everything we ate was wonderful from the steak to the Wahoo, Salmon and Mahi. The servers are excellent and very friendly and attentive. I would definitely go again. Their sister restaurant is the Wharf which is also right on the water in Georgetown and also is delicious. The sea bass was delicious there.

This historic house is a gorgeous setting for a meal - the outdoor deck overlooking the sea gave us spectacular views at sunset. Additionally, the food was all delicious and the service was five-star. The wine collection and rooms inside were also incredibly impressive.

Had a nice dinner here, served by a really lovely French guy. The food was good home cooked style. The venue is vast and very spread out but we got a good table right on the rocks. We were both overwhelmed and disappointed by the wine list. It is absolutely enormous, however the majority of wines on offer were from $250 to +$1k which is silly. Such a high end collection of wines for a homely food venue. I would visit next time but just to enjoy their impressive rum, brandy and armagnac collection. The old house itself and the wine collection rooms are incredibly impressive!

An incredible dining experience!! Based on the reviews we expected it to be nice....but it far surpassed that...it was WOW!! The service was incredible... Ferdinand and his team were fabolous!! ...the food was delicious.. snapper specials and the chateaubriand was to die for.... we also had some of the hand rolled cigars..( and met Pappi... the cigar man) ... and a tour of the house... with all the various wine tasting rooms. Go...you won't be dissapointed!!!

One of the more memorable dining experiences I’ve had. The setting is terrific, the atmosphere is charming with Papi hand rolling cigars and Armagnac tastings available. Still trying to figure out what went into their Gin & Tonic as it might be the best one I’ve ever had…a bit of an upgrade from Hendricks, Fever Tree Tonic, and a Cucumber. Food was excellent but in that setting, who even cares…I think it would be 5 stars with 10-piece McNugget Meal. πŸ₯˜πŸΉπŸŒ…πŸοΈ

We had a great experience at Grand Old House. The hostess set us up with a great seat to watch the sunset and check out the fish at night time. The food was fantastic. We had the pan seared red snapper and bacon wrapped Wahoo. The service was exceptional. Was able to get a last minute bday celebration included with the meal. Will be a repeat customer.

I was pleasantly surprised by this place. We had eaten at a few other places while on vacation and thought the food was not very good, especially for the prices you have to pay. This resturabt had excellent service, delicious food, and a wonderful atmosphere including great sunset views.

Food was amazing, 10/10! Service was absolutely perfect. Great vegetarian menu as well. The atmosphere was great. We had outdoor seating at sunset, overlooking the crystal blue water that is lit up in the evening. You can watch large fish swimming around, and the waves splashing on the rocks.

Can’t say enough about the views at this establishment. Set right up against the water a sunset added to the allure of a fantastic dinner. Flavors were bold and fresh. As it get deeper and deeper into the dinner watch out for the mosquitoes and flys. It’s a constant struggle to keep food clean if you’re not shooing them away.

Good atmosphere, attentive waiting staff. Highly recommend to sit outside by the water, they sporadically feed the fish and let you watch also. There is private dining area available also. Food was good nothing to write home about, servers are attentive but front of the house was slower to get us to a table. I ordered the Thai curry which was good but the prawns had tails still intact which made for awkward eating and the rice portion was small but overall the balance of spice was pleasant. Dessert was okay too. Overall, I thought it was average

One of the most magical places to watch a sunset. Thoughtful and kind service, beautiful atmosphere and deliciously prepared and plated food. My husband and I shared the Chateaubriand and it was phenomenal to watch them cook it and even better to eat.

We came here 6 months ago for the first time and the staff have felt like family ever since that first visit. Edgar who manages the wine bar is the absolute…hands down…friendliest, most accommodating person we have ever encountered. He has seriously become like family to us. His wine, rum, and cigar knowledge is unmatched! His wife, Elizabeth is a lovely host and a beautiful person inside and out. The Somm, Lisa, is absolutely SUPERB in her lovely demeanor, love for, and stellar knowledge of wine! She put together two private wine tastings on this trip for us. One was all Italian wines and the other were French wines. The chef put together a truly spectacular tasting menu to pair perfectly with each wine that Lisa chose. We will be back every time that we return to the island for more wine tastings and food pairings! Not to mention, buying the best cigars on island!

Nice view and great service! Food is okay at best. Large outdoor deck right on the water. Don’t get the grouper. Tuna tartare was blah. Semifeddo was the best thing on the menu!

The grand old house is a waterfront restaurant and is a hidden gem located on the edge of the harbor with stunning views of the water. As soon as you walk in, you are greeted by the friendly staff and the elegant yet relaxed atmosphere. The decor is contemporary and stylish. But the real star of the show is the food. Chef Tushara's dishes are not only beautifully presented but also bursting with the flavor. Each dish is carefully crafted with fresh, locally sourced ingredients, and the menu offers a wide range of options to suit all tastes. Whether you're looking for a romantic evening out or a special celebration with friends and family, this restaurant is sure to impress. The combination of stunning views, elegant ambiance, and exceptional food make it a true standout in the island's dining scene.

Elegence meets the Ocean. What a wonderful experience from beginning to end! Found Grand Old House via Google search under dinner. Started looking for great reviews and GOH popped up. I filled out the reservation link and got an immediate email that they would confirm shortly. A short while later I got an email confirmation and asking if it was a special occasion or any food allergies. I asked if they had a dress code and they quickly answered, β€œsmart casual. Shorts are also fine to wear”. We arrived and were welcomed by our hostess who then wished us a happy 35th Anniversary. As we went to our table we noticed the indoor/outdoor areas and a magnificent sunset. They had huge fans that added to the overall comfort. The voews from the terrace are awesome, great picture opportunities. The house sommelier gave us a great recommendation for a whote wine. We ordered the Conch Ceviche & the Lobster Bisque, both were delicious. I ordered the Filet Mignon and it went cooked a perfect medium. At the end we were surprised with a dessert with Happy Anniversary spelled on the plate and a sparkler. A nice detail. A great experience from beginning to end!

Wonderful views with great drinks! The bartender was especially nice as we waited for them to officially open for dinner and served wonderfully crafted cocktails. He also told us about guinep and even went outside to a tree to harvest some for us to try.

While on vacation in Cayman we had dinner at the Grand Old House with some friends. The restaurant is such a must try with its great location right on the water which makes dinner al fresco a spectacular experience. The food was delicious and the service couldn’t have been better. I was especially impressed that they have Pappy Van Winkle on the drink menu for those nights that you are celebrating something extra special.

The creativity and presentation of food is extremely clever. The Grand Old House offers top notch gourmet and high quality food. This is an institution in the Island - it is classic yet contemporary - and 100% class. The seaside location on the water can't be beat and is perfect if you can get a table at sunset. Servers are professional and friendly. After sunset, staff chum the water and a school of giant Tarpon feed in the lit water below you. Great experience!

We booked in advance for a special birthday celebration on our last night in Grand Cayman, and we could not have made a better choice. We had a waterfront table on the deck with amazing sunset views. The food was spectacular, and the service was excellent. The wine list is extensive. This dining experience was a highlight of our vacation!

Would have been a 6 star for the food and view. We were seated right by the water so it was spectacular. Unfortunately, the service RUINED it all. I have NEVER had worse service at a restaurant before, let alone a fine dining restaurant on a tourist island. My waiter did not check in a single time and didn't even bother saying thank you when we paid for the bill, no one checked in when our drinks were finished and meanwhile he was providing excellent service to the table next to us with a larger group. The waitresses who occasionally showed up to refill our water had much better service and even asked us if we wanted another drink even though it wasn't her responsibility. Would recommend for the view for sure but service is definitely a hit or miss.

Absolutely beautiful location seated right next to the ocean, listening to the waves lap against the rocky shore, watching tarpons swim. The sunset was enchanting and the weather perfect. She had lobster and I had rack of lamb. Both were delightful. The service was exquisite. The wine list included Lecole 41, my favorite wine from Washington state. It was a perfect evening. I highly recommend Grand Old House to anyone, especially those seeking a truly unique and romantic evening.

We held our rehearsal dinner at GOH in advance of our July 2023 wedding on Grand cayman. Every single thing was perfect! The atmosphere and views are gorgeous! We hired a DJ and they provided us plenty of room to dance! The food was outstanding! The team at GOH made everything so special! I love this place and we will definitely be back!!!

Must have had an off night based on other reviews. We were dead to the waiter the second we didn't order drinks. We barely saw the guy. When it came time for the check he plopped it down and walked away without sayings anything. Not a I hope you had a great meal or have a great day.. just silence. After booking through their website and confirming via email too they still lost our reservation. The only redeeming quality was the table we sat at. Great view. My snapper was cooked to death. Just had snapper at Luca the night before. Go there. For the same money it's a million times better on all fronts.

We went here well visiting on a cruise ship and felt it was really excellent food. Excellent service. Excellent location. Can't recommend it higher. I had the braised ribs in my wife had the blackened snapper and it was all very good

We went for Christmas brunch. People were packed in like sardines, it look forever to get service or champagne topped up (we’d have to ask 3 or 4 servers each time). The food was mass produced, bland and largely unappetising. The desserts were decent but that’s it. Also had to pay for my 6 year old daughter who ate a few bites of French fries. Will never return here.
