This is probably the best Italian restaurant I have ever been to in my entire life. If you are questioning a dining experience here, don’t. Just go! We arrived at the perfect time and got a table out on the patio. Within minutes the entire place was packed. I ordered the bolognese. Complete perfection! I couldn’t get enough. The best bolognese I’ve ever had period! Our waiter was awesome and consistently checking on us. The view as the sun set was incredible. And the live musician was the icing on the cake. I am already dreaming of my next vacation to the Cayman Islands so I can eat here again.

Definitely worth having the restaurant month menu. Fresh fish, conch fritters, and cheesecake. Oh yeah, a glass of wine, too. This place is on the waterfront and perfect for a sunset or later meal. The cruise ship passengers are gone, and you get great service. They handled our group of 10 with no issues and split the checks for us. Definitely worth a repeat performance.

When we arrived we were greeted at the door and introduced to the owner. We Sat up stairs on the patio and the service was amazing. Our waiter made recommendations for appetizers. I had the eggplant Parmesan which was the best I have ever had For dinner I had the home made four cheese gnocchi. So good I wanted to lick the plate. The entire group enjoyed their meal. On the way out we were entertained by a fabulous man playing the harp. We needed up staying past closing time just to hear him play. This is a definite must go to restaurant on your visit to George town.

Our group of 13 was recommended to Casanova by the locals. We made a reservation and were seated promptly with an ocean view. The food was spectacular. I ordered the chicken parmigiana with the fresh pasta and Alfredo. It was the best Italian food I’ve ever had! The Alfredo was not over seasoned with garlic, but was very creamy and the flavor was perfect. The chicken was tender and topped with delicious mozzarella and the best tasting marinara. Friends ordered the Carbonara and also said it was the best they have ever eaten. Our waiter was phenomenal and never missed a beat. He was efficient and had excellent customer service vI would recommend this restaurant over and over again.

I had dinner here last night. I am traveling alone, and was told to not miss this place. Beautiful location and a beautiful sunset. I had the polenta mozzarella for an appetizer and lobster alfredo for my meal. I ordered house red and it was amazing. The polenta mozzarella was good. Fresh mozzarella and a light Marina sauce. The lobster seemed to be 'chewy' so maybe overcooked a bit, but still tasted good. My disappointment was when 'regulars' showed up and I became 'forgotten'. I wanted to order another glass of wine but gave up. And when someone finally came over, I got check and he told me he would bring me a lemonchello. He never came back so I just left.

Great Italian food. We went here to celebrate my sister’s 20th wedding anniversary and had a lovely dinner with fantastic views of the sun setting over the water. They even had my favorite Soave wine on the menu! Definitely recommend.

Casanova Restaurant in George Town offers a captivating culinary experience that seamlessly combines the charm of its historic setting with exquisite Italian cuisine. Nestled in the heart of George Town, this restaurant is a gem for both locals and visitors seeking an authentic taste of Italy. The ambiance at Casanova is nothing short of enchanting. The restaurant is housed in a beautifully restored heritage building, boasting an intimate and romantic atmosphere. Soft lighting, rustic decor, and attentive service create a welcoming environment that sets the stage for a memorable dining experience. The menu at Casanova is a culinary journey through the diverse regions of Italy. From traditional pasta dishes like handmade fettuccine Alfredo to innovative seafood creations, each plate is a work of art. The chefs showcase a commitment to using fresh, high-quality ingredients, delivering flavors that are both rich and nuanced. Standout dishes include the Osso Buco, a Milanese specialty featuring braised veal shanks, and the Risotto Frutti di Mare, a delightful seafood risotto that captures the essence of coastal Italian cuisine. The menu also caters to various dietary preferences, offering a range of vegetarian and gluten-free options without compromising on taste. The wine list complements the culinary offerings, featuring a curated selection of Italian wines that enhance the overall dining experience. Knowledgeable staff members are readily available to assist with pairings, ensuring that each sip enhances the flavors of the meal. While Casanova Restaurant may lean towards the upscale side, the quality of the dining experience justifies the price point. Whether celebrating a special occasion or indulging in a romantic evening, Casanova's blend of ambiance, service, and culinary excellence makes it a standout destination in George Town's vibrant gastronomic scene.

Wonderful dining experience. Service was top notch! We had a lovely veal parmigiana and a very tasty thin crust, perfectly baked with just the right amount if toppings, pepperoni pizza. The atmosphere was perfect for us! Outdoor dining on the dock with a perfect ocean view.

The restaurant parking is across the street. There is a sign that says that but with many people tailgating around that narrow street it can be hard to see that sign specially if it is your first time. The restaurant is very cozy and the owner/manager is very welcoming. Our waitress was really rude and grumpy. He even brought something different from what I wanted. They need a little more organization, probably put a number to each customer so they don’t have to be guessing who order what. If you come in a large group, they do not split the bill, they actually just charge everything in one bill and you have to ask them to charge items separately. This restaurant could improve

Homemade pasta and sauces were delicious as was all the food. Eggplant parmigiana was some of the best ever. Complimentary bruschetta and limoncello were a wonderful surprise. Plenty of vegetarian and gluten free options. Setting was beautiful. Staff was attentive, polite, happy and friendly, and unlike so many restaurants in these leaner times, plentiful. Parking was easy in a lot across the street.

The view was beautiful. The atmosphere was incredible. This venue offered a greet opportunity to enjoy our friend's compnay. The food was good. However, the place was so busy the servants forgot us a few times toward the end of our mean. In fact, they completely forgot us around the dessert. Even so, the staff was very friendly, so we overlooked it.

All the rave about this place is well deserved. The food is authentic Italian, and it really shows in the taste and presentation. The staff is extremely passionate about their guests, from the hyper attentive servers, to the friendly and personable maître-ď, all the way to the smiling door man welcoming us in, we felt like royalty. Cocktails were made perfectly, and even the the brushetta was a hit. We had the risotto, the linguine, and the seafood plate, and calamari for appetizers, and everything was perfect, and perfectly seasoned and tasty. The view is spectacular, and even without a grand colorful sunset, the Cayman sky never disappoints. The only drawback for that view is that on this side of the island, to get that view, the normally easterly breeze is blocked by the building. This can result in some hot conditions for those unaccustomed to the Cayman heat and humidity in the summer. They have fans covering almost every inch of the place to help, but only so much can be done to combat mother nature. They cannot be faulted for this, and there IS inside dining available for those who would rather have an air conditioned experience. If you have ANY time at all, you should definitely make this place a dinner stop while here.

Do not believe the reviews, this place is gross! Bread is stale, chicken parm came with grilled chicken, not fried. Gnocchi was inedible! And the place just screams dirty!! Worst meal yet in the Caymans!

Came to the Grand Caymans on a cruise ship, rented a taxi and went to the botanicals gardens. Our driver recommended we eat here. Wow!! The food was over the top delicious and the staff was super friendly!! Cannot recommend this place enough.

This fun and family owned Italian restaurant always provides consistent quality food and service. It is a stop every time we are on island. Dining can occur outside or inside at this two level restaurant. It is open daily, even holidays. Prices are fair and the meals are consistent through the menu. This is a busy place but you never feel rushed. Dress is casual and parking is across the street down a small alley. Follow the signs.

We picked this place to try and catch a sunset while we ate, but unfortunately, the clouds hid the sunset. So instead, we got to dine on some delicious food. From the spaghetti and meatballs, vegetable spaghetti, pizza and seafood pasta, we enjoyed all our entrees. We even splurged for a few desserts that were good too! Highly recommend the sticky toffee pudding. Amazing!

Perfect location for an amazing Italian dinner. Roof-top overlooking the ocean, harpist and perfect Cayman weather. All of their pasta is homemade and my family tried the lobster with garlic and wine sauce. My son had a 4 cheese gnocchi and it was also superb. Make a reservation before going, it was very busy.

Casanova was such a lovely atmosphere serving delicious, large portions of Italian food! We enjoyed the speed of the service, the amicability of the staff, and the food. We came on Thanksgiving day for lunch and they were serving the set menu, and we came back for dinner to try their pasta. We had the thanksgiving turkey, margherita pizza, spaghetti carbonara and with meatballs. Would highly recommend this spot for families and kids, as well as couples. It is reasonably priced and we loved the ambience. Great view right on the water.

How this restaurant has such good reviews, I’m not sure. I went against my concierge’s recommendation for Italian, and I’m regretting it. I had a Caesar salad and chicken parm. The Caesar salad was fine, nothing special. You can tell the dressing is not homemade. Let’s move to the chicken parm….this is NOT chicken parm. The cutlets are not breaded and is just a chicken filet sautéed in oil. I was so disappointed! Service was ok. I had to ask for bread, even through there’s oil on the table. Not one server checked on me to see how my entree was. I did have my heart set on having a piece of tiramisu, but the way this dinner went I could tell the dessert would be a let down. $43.00 wasted. Atmosphere…tacky painting on the walls and pictures of 20 years ago with patrons in the entryway… but what really got me was club house music playing…it would me a sense if it was in Italian…but it wasn’t! This is probably the worst Italian restaurant I have ever been too (which I have travelled to Italy!). A better meal can be had at Olive Garden!!!!

Terrible, bland over priced food. Rude staff, long wait times to be served. The only saving grace is the scenery but that can't make up for all the other short comings. If you want good italian food with great service, go to Ragazzi instead.

We were running late due to a delayed flight but a simple text message to the restaurant guaranteed they would hold our table for 6 right out by the water. This was our second time eating here, once 10 years ago and it was great again. Out of 6 meals out in the last 3 days this is the only place we found with fresh local tuna as an entree and I got it grilled. I asked for seared rare and it came out a little more cooked than I would have liked but still really good. Some restaurants here charge for everything including bread but this restaurant provided bread at no charge, they brought out a free serving of bruschetta, a free after dinner drink and then the owner or manager even gave my daughter some gelato for free. No nickel and diming you here! My daughter had spaghetti with meatballs she really liked and the pasta was el Dante which she loved, probably the first time she has had pasta cooked just right. Wife had the fresh snapper and it was excellent. Old fashioned cocktail that they called Kentucky was tasty and good portion size. Definitely recommend, but if you like your tuna seared rare, you should emphasize that a little more than I did. Tarpon by the dock a bonus.

We decided to go for dinner at Casanova. What a wonderful place! The staff were top notch providing excellent service. The food (greek salad, pasta and pizza) was scrumptious. A pleasant surprise was listening to the man who played the harp. He is so talented and also very friendly. We met the owner who was going from table to table to say hello and ask if we had everything we needed. We told him we will be sharing with others what a great establishment he has on the water right near downtown. Very happy we decided to try Casanova and will definitely return when we return someday.

My husband was dying for some pizza so we chose Casanova for lunch on our day into town. First of all the atmosphere here is second to none. The covered seating in the back is absolutely perfect and the view is fabulous. We ordered three different pizzas and every single one was delicious and fresh without feeling heavy. Our server made sure that we had drinks at all times and was very attentive. Cannot recommend this place enough- delicious food, friendly staff, and ambiance galore.

Food and atmosphere was great. We had the fish of the day, blackened snapper with fresh vegetables and potatoes. They have several choices on the kids menu, probably more than most restaurants here. The wait staff does a decent job being attentive, but like most places in Grand Cayman where the tip is automatic, things get forgotten.

After a mid-day downpour that took our day off-course, we were again changing our plans when we saw that the fish restaurant we were going to dine at had recently permanently closed. After a little walking and online research we found ourselves at Casanova. I normally don't eat heavier Italian food during the lunch hour, however, we were more than just pleasantly surprised. The homemade pasta was wonderful, the fish was fresh and the desserts were made in-house that morning! Even on a gloomy afternoon the covered patio was a lovely location to dine. When my teenage daughter sent her compliments to the chef, she was invited back to the kitchen to tell him herself and soon afterwards she returned to the table with the chef alongside of her to greet the rest of us! We thoroughly enjoyed our conversation with the chef along with the food and service. I highly recommend it!
