Delizioso! The most authentic Italian experience on the island. Tasty food and incredible service. Daniel and Paola made us feel like we were back in Italy. Bravissimo

What a great restaurant. Excellent menu, our entrees were perfect. Super nice waitstaff. Fabulous views especially sunset. Highly recommended!!

Unfortunately this establishment did not meet the expectations. Waiter was on edge, when asked about the size of pizza he was short and rude with no real answer, table was left unattended for most of the night. Overall the quality of the food was okay, the view around sunset is gorgeous, waitstaff would benefit from hospitality training.

this restaurant is a treasure! we were delighted to sit out on the patio, watching the boats go by as we enjoyed our pizza (made completely from scratch) as well as a lasagna (fresh homemade pasta and other ingredients from scratch). our server was fun and friendly, catering to our dietary needs and also offering their homemade chili oil to spice up our delicious meal. If i could eat here every day, i absolutely would. you could truly taste the homemade ingredients in each meal!

I came for the sunset view but was completely captivated by the food. I had a simple salad that was made special with a clever mix of ingredients followed by their Zuppe Di Pesce. Easily the best I’ve had anywhere in the world. The focal points of the dish was an incredibly tender lobster tail and the catch of the day, fresh swordfish. I was actually watching the fishermen cleaning the catch earlier in the day just a 30 second walk away. Now that fresh! The dish also featured scallops, shrimp, and mussels all swimming in a mouthwatering tomato based broth. I happened to speak to the chef when I first arrived and mentioned that I can’t eat wheat ie their homemade pasta was not in the card for me. He surprised me with a small plate of gnocchi made from breadfruit! It was shockingly fantastic. Thank you Chef Adriano. The Zuppe was easily enough food for 2 people and I polished off most of it, so I was planning on skipping desert. After reviewing the dessert menu I changed my mind. It was hard to choose but I went with the fresh key lime mousse. I savoured it slowly as the sun started to set. Light, creamy and barely sweet. The flavour of the fresh, local key lime balanced perfectly. It was like eating a delicious cloud. I’m planning on stopping by tomorrow to try the guava panacotta.

We were in Grand Cayman in July and on recommendation from our friend Samantha, who knows the owners, we made a reservation and had dinner at Le Vele. The food and the service is absolutely amazing! The homemade pasta was great. And the pizza!! Who know pizza could taste so good. The ocean view and sunset was magnificent. 10/10 experience. Can't wait to return.

One of the best Italian restaurants I’ve ever experienced! The staff is wonderful and friendly. Paulo, Bonnie, Sarah, Donnel, and all are good people. The homemade pasta is out of this world and their wine list is both affordable and extensive. We ate here 3-times in a week. We will be back!

We walked in for an early dinner tonight and Daniel accommodated us by giving us the best table in the entire restaurant (it was just after the cruise ships had boarded so the downtown area was pretty deserted) -- outside on the north deck, northern most table. Daniel brought us an amuse bouche of tomato, onion, and sardine which really cleansed the palate and set the tone for an amazing meal. We started with the Tomatoes and Mozzarella and the Salmon and Swordfish Carpaccio. Both were very good. We completed the meal with the Margherita Pizza which was simple and understated but very fresh with a delicious chewy crust. We finished the evening off with a Panna cotta drizzled with mango syrup and coconut shavings. The food was great but it was really the service (Daniel) and the view/atmosphere that put this place over the top for us. I would definitely recommend it to anyone in the area.

We ate at some amazing places this week but La Vele was our favorite. I had the Trofie Mediterranean and it was probably one of the best pasta dishes I have ever had. Can’t wait to get back to the Island and get back to La Vele

First, bring your patience. If you only have an hour before the boat gets going, then perhaps not the place to come to. But with that caveat out of the way, let's begin. Fairly close walk from the cruise port, the restaurant is on the second floor. Choice is yours for patio or not. The view is pretty nice, but if it's hot, head inside. The menu has many options, including pizza. Everything is priced in CI, so be aware of that. I went with a local beer, that was pretty good, the Vele house salad, and the lobster pizza. The salad was nice and fairly lite. The surprise was the Peruvian Peppers. Really great flavor and went well with the salad. The pizza was equally nice, seafood was cooked well, crust nice and thin. I like this place. It's family run with a chef in back and another person up front spinning the pizzas with oven right there in the dining room. Again, the patio views are really nice, you can see the ship and gorgeous waters.

Food was decent, pizza was really good, my steak was alittle overcooked but tasty. Service was lacking, inattentive and slow. Can’t beat the view. I would recommend their pizzas.

A nice waterside restaurant with excellent, home made Italian food. We appreciated the fresh home made cookies as well.

Not the greatest food. I think this place was in its prime 5+ years ago. Much better options now.

Without the leadership of Palo, I don't know how this place could get any better. Best restaurant on island. Thanks Palo for all you do.

The food was amazing, great location and view, staff was fantastic! Tough to pick favourites, but I loved the Polpo + Patate, and I definitely recommend the Casoncelli. Best dining experience we had on our trip!

I was on Grand Cayman with my family, and we decided spontaneously to eat at Le Vele. We were so delighted that we returned for another dinner 2 nights later. The staff were extremely dedicated to us and so kind. They accommodated my sister needing gluten-free / vegan ingredients. The staff were funny and entertaining, as well as attentive. The food came out hot, fresh and all 6 of is were served at the same time. And it was DELICIOUS! We ordered crab and shrimp pizza, seafood pizza, lasagna, fish, seafood pasta and incredible desserts. The prices were very competitive with the market. I truly appreciated everyone at Le Vele, and I wish I could take this restaurant with me back home! Grazie mille to Le Vele!

We came to this place based on the reviews and SO GLAD we did! It felt like a local place and not as touristy. The food was incredible and the service was great. The views at sunset were beautiful. Would absolutely recommend coming here and will absolutely return on our next visit.

Disappointed by our latest visit to Le Vele. We decided to dine inside because it was very hot out, but there was not AC inside and it was very uncomfortable. The service was subpar with one manager and one waiter serving about 20 tables. Had to wait quite some time to order and then to pay the bill after we had asked for it, which is always less than ideal (especially with kids in tow). The food was good, but we didn't get to enjoy it with the poor service. All in all, with so many amazing options on the island, I don't think we will be returning anytime soon.

This is always my go to in Grand Cayman! It is such a high quality restaurant in every way. I always get great service and the food is worth every penny. The pizzas and pasta is always reliably delicious, and if you love the European style pizza especially this is the place for you. Plus they have a great selection of wines.

Pur group of 6 adults loved this restaurant so much, we ate there 2 x in 5 days. We sat pn the balcony watching the sunset. The hostess was very welcoming, checking how we were doing. The two young waiters we had were friendly (everyone we met on this island were very friendly), prompt with service, and not intrusive. When I ordered a glass of wine they had run out of, the owner sent someone to the liquor store to buy a bottle. The food, including the desserts, was very very good. We had pizzas with good light crisp crust (frutti di mare was a favorite), swordfish and salmon carpaccio, mozzarella and tomatoes with parma ham, risotto le vele (3 different risottos with 3 different fish pairings - to die for!), linguine con frutti di mare. Of the desserts, the panna cotta was especially good. The restaurant is not inexpensive, but it is worth it.

We loved everything about this place. The food, the service, and especially the view right on the water. We tried a pretty good bit of the menu between the four of us and everything we ate was excellent.

Best pizza In Cayman. The dessert is very disappointing though... ordered a lime mousse, they came with fresh cream and squeezed lime juice on top. Hard to believe! It might work for some that don't know what a mousse actually is, but they should do better than that. Location and service - great Price is fair...

White table cloth covered Interior tables & patio seating with gorgeous views of Cheesburger reef and turquoise waters make this place a very scenic and beautiful place to dine. Keeping our meal mainly pizza we went with the Salamino pizza (add fresh jalapenos) and the Carne (just the way it came). Both were delicious, with my taste preferring the Carne. The quality of the ingredients could be tasted in everything that we ate. Overall it was a very nice dining experience and we will be returning.

Amazing! Recommended by a local and it did not disappoint. Food was phenomenal and the view was even better. Service was impeccable and the owner cave around to check on us. Top quality and will definitely recommend.

So good! Beautiful views, friendly and attentive service and excellent food. My family ordered pasta, gnocchi, veal, and pizza. All fresh and delicious. My teenage son said it was the best pizza he has had… that is some high praise. Would highly recommend.

This place is the real deal! The pizza was delicious - fresh, homemade. Our server, Danny, took great care of us and was very personable. The views from the porch were fantastic - a perfect place to watch the sunset. If you’re in the mood for high-quality Italian, don’t pass Le Vele up!

This place is a little gem made of gold. We recently stopped at this port on a cruise. We had all kinds of plans for our stop, but when it was raining and got in much earlier than anticipated, we stumbled across this place. We went inside to get away from the rain and a drink and they were closed. The server Daniele opened the place for us early and made us feel right at home. We ended up staying for hours and ordered food when they officially opened up. He brought us complimentary apps, dessert, and a gift to go. It was outstanding, homemade pizza and handmade pasta.... to die for!! The drinks were mixology level cocktails. This place is a must stop and right on the water. We hugged the waiter when we left, it was such a great experience!!

Well… I don’t recommend this as an Italian restaurant. The bread felt store-bought and cold. The parm cheese was bottled Kraft, probably. We ordered a seafood spaghetti— it had no taste and the shrimp tasted frozen. We also ordered a spaghetti with meatballs: the meatballs were small and felt like store-bought meatballs. The only good food was the pizza: we ordered a margarita. It said it included basil, but it had one basil leaf for the whole pizza! The best dish was probably the prosciutto pizza— no complaints. Everything else, however, felt inauthentic and lazy. Do not recommend.

Loved this place! Location was great, food was delicious, and service outstanding! Or picky girls wanted lasagna and spaghetti and meatballs, neither listed on the menu but both delivered and devoured!! Great place, highly recommend!

Daniel took great care of us and the food was amazing. Drinks great too, and we had a beautiful view. We ended up here unplanned after bad treatment at Rackams. Tip: the scotch bonnet olive oil is to die for!

I had dinner at the Levele restaurant and pizzeria last night and was served by a waiter named Peter. The food was fantastic, and the service was excellent. The waiter was very friendly. I think I would definitely go back. I highly recommend everyone to dine there. Their pizzas are amazing.

Went there last night, air conditioner, not working called earlier to confirm the reservation and they Mention nothing that the AC wasn’t working typical of Italians And I am an Italian American. You cannot have a restaurant in the Caribbean and I have no AC with the pizza oven in your dining room. This is not Italy my friend.
