👍👍 We have been to Grand Cayman 3 times on cruises. We had to tender to the port which was not a problem. We enjoyed the fact that the downtown shopping area is an easy close walk. The people here are very friendly and definitely not pushy like some of the ports. Great shopping here. It can get very busy... Getting off Celebrity Cruise Apex to see the town, I was disappointed in the Port. I didn’t expect much but I was still disappointed. I’m sure the rest of Grand Cayman is beautiful but the port is just tourist gift shops and restaurants. Everyone was nice but the shop workers kept pushing each store you walked past. Once outside the main port, it doesn’t get much better. The sidewalks are not really wheelchair friendly with heavy traffic going by. The water looks beautiful and you could get to a small sandy beach to walk into the water just outside the port security area. The bottom line is, take an excursion or stay on the ship.

This is smaller than other ports and rightfully so. There's multiple water taxis dropping off and picking up passengers. It's extremely hard to get on the wrong ship when leaving the port since there are multiple signs and they check your ship ID card multiple times. The port has a good number of shops and eateries. There's a designated spot for pre-booked excursions, but there's also folks offering tours and such at the port. If you choose to go off on your own, be prepared to show your cruise ID to get back inside the port... even when leaving the shops. Since a few of the shops have street access, there's security at the store exits to ensure you're on a cruise. So have your ID ready. Lastly, there's a great spot to get a picture of the ship behind you before getting back on the taxi.

Very layed back place. Police looks out for tourists. Good place to buy diamonds cheap and cigars if they have them. The views here are breathe taking

a small but very nice port, with many activities to do within the cayman islands, in particular we snorkeled with manta rays, the experience was unforgettable, the city is very clean, organized and I loved it to go live, I hope to return soon. the waters of the sea you find different shades depending on where you go, we had very good weather in September 2018

Decent cruise ship port, nice little town with lots of shops. Don't expect cheap price though. The shoreline has lots good scenery spots, with some swimming / snorkeling area. Huge fishes (tarpon?) swimming around people in crystal clear water, quite amazing

Very Awesome! We were brought in by tenders due to the Rocky Coastline on the Grand Cayman Island, from the Carnival Vista+ very easy to hop on the tender and get dropped off on the Island of Grand Cayman at the Georgetown Port+

Amazing port of call, we felt safe and there were plenty of venders. If you want to book an excursion simply get off the ship and head to a taxi or a tour group for booking. I would highly recommend stepping off the ship and experiencing what this port has to offer

We arrived at Georgetown port from our Disney cruise line in April. The weather was fantastic, very sunny. Make sure to wear lots of sunscreen, a hat and sunglasses. Surprisingly the water is crystal clear at the port. bring your swimsuit, you can actually go swimming in this tiny public beach and there’s a couple of Snorkel spots walking distance from the port. The local dive shop allow port visitors to jump into the waters. I included some of the photos I took of maps and pricing of port adventures at the local area.

Fell in love with this island. We were only at Port for a few hours but wish we could have stayed for longer. We did a small tour of the island and did a few stops. Walking around close to port we felt safe and the crossing guard was fun. There was a small beach close to port that we got to see some big fish, a crab that scared my cousin, and swim in the beautiful water. There is a crab hidden in one of the photos, blends in super well with its surroundings.

This port was nice, but small. We couldn’t find a island/city bus, maybe because it was Sunday, so we tried to get a taxi. They only offered large bus like taxis going to 7 mile beach. We asked about a taxi to Spotts beach and were told we couldn’t get one. The lady in charge was very condescending about the whole thing. She called other people over to discuss that they couldn’t get a taxi for us and how silly it was that we even asked. Then once we gave up and decide we’re going to just ride the bus/taxi to 7 mile since that was our only option she came over and said that for $30 for the 4 mile drive to Spotts beach she could get us a taxi. We decided that $60 round trip to go 4 miles away was crazy that we’d stick with our other plan. They were holding signs that they offer rides to these 5 or so different beaches but half of the beaches are closed and they actually only drive you to one beach and drop you off and then you have to walk to the other beaches from there. It all seems a bit sketchy and strange to me. When we were almost to the beach the driver told us it’d be $24. The agreement when we boarded was $6 to go to the beach. We had 2 ppl so that’s $12, but he told us we had to pay $24 and meet him back at the bus at the pick up time he chose for us. It was all just a way for him to make sure we took his bus back so he could get our money. The whole experience at the port felt very underhanded and deceptive.

Cruise port was extremely crowded with 4 ships unloading. Trying to find your shore excursion was a little challenging as there are so many people. Shopping is OK once you leave the port and head across the street. Of course you have to take a tender from your ship to get here and it's not a quick process. As long as you are patient, you will finally arrive. Port could be much larger to handle the amount of people there.

Small little Port. The tender boats drop and pick up cruise ship passengers here. There are tents and benches to wait for excursions. There are several souvenir and jewelry stores. They also have a duty free. There is a stand that sells patties which were really good. You have to show your sea pass to get back into the port.

Cruised there on the Celebrity Apex from Ft. Lauderdale. People that we met in Georgetown were very nice. We visited the Dolphin Discovery and it was SO COOL!! GO!! We snorkled 3 different countries, but actually interacting with the dolphins was a highlight of our cruise! Coral beach is beautiful too! Water is gorgeous!

This may be a small port where the ships can't sick they have to anchor out a few hundred yards out and "tender" you to the port which means shuttle you by either several large pontoon boats or lower a couple of the life boats down and use them. I don't like that because it takes FOREVER due to the fact only a couple hundred ppl at a time can go and when you have several thousands of ppl trying to get there and get back, this time it took us 3 hours of standing in line to get back to the ship. With that said, it is worth the wait, George town and all of grand cayman island is AMAZING place, beautiful, lots of shops, nice ppl; I have been 5 or 6 times.

I’ve been through my fair share of Caribbean ports. Eleven, if anyone is counting. And the George Town Cruise Port makes my top tier of cruise ports. I’ve experienced everything from being yelled at and signs vying for space in my face, to completely relaxed, not paying attention to their job security guards. For me, number one priority is safety. Check, George Town meets that. Is it clean? Check. Easy to navigate? Check. George Town makes the exclusive list of Caribbean Islands I would visit again.

Didn't go ashore as tendering in a rainstorm wasn't for us. Most went really early but again not of interest until something open by which time it bucketed down so we opted for lunch and an empty jacuzzi in the rain. Delightful. It gets wonderful reviews but from the ship it's not the prettiest, we lived St Thomas and Antigua because we were blessed with the weather. We will come again next year and hope for better weather but it's been really warm so we can't say anything bad.

This port has a lot of great shopping around. Lots of brand names. Taxis are easy to find. It’s not far from Seven Mile beach. They also have food trucks and restaurants. Great place to hangout for the short period of time we were there.

No actual docks for cruise ships to port. So, ferry shuttles running nonstop from all the ships anchored a ways out in the water. Many cruise tourists make the streets very crowded.

Tender port so if you want to get to Cayman early, go with ship shopping tour. Back to back tenders but takes a long time to carry 2500 people ashore. No beach near port. Nice town area near port, and across from Parliament building one block up is informative monument area. There is a shopping plaza called The Island Plaza with free Wi-Fi wo signing up or purchase requirement. Also stores there have better prices than many other stores in area. Directions- at road in front of Port (Church Rd), cross street and turn right. 300 block of Church St.

O transporte do cruzeiro para o porto é feito de barcos da ilha , foi super rápido e tranquilo. Porto pequeno , sem muita coisa para ver. Mas a cidade depois em si compensa

A water shuttle port, can be very hectic when 3 or more ships are in port. Convenient for being just in the midst of Georgetown so lots of shopping options available

They call it port, but it is not a dock place for sea going cruise ship. Just water taxi tender ship to shore.
