Did some research online, decided to snorkel here instead of booking an excursion through the cruise line. Great snorkeling on its own merits, even better with the outrageous value for the price of renting a locker. If we weren't sun-averse we would have stayed all day. This will definitely be our go-to spot whenever we're in Grand Cayman. Next time we will probably rent dive gear, too.

Dive shop offering shore diving on two good dive sites. Also a great night diving spot with easy entry and a short swim out. Staff is super helpful and nice. Lobster, big crab, and octopus on night dive

The dive shop is a great place to gear up and get advice, but this review is really more for the fact that they are very generous and allow use of their tables and rinse tanks and shower for anyone coming to snorkel as well. Small parking lot, don't abuse their generosity and leave them some tips or buy some drinks, and also don't forget the restaurant and bar next door in the same shared area. As for Eden Rock itself: amazing, better than taking a boat tour to the coral gardens. In fact I was so disappointed I came back here in the afternoon after my boat tour ended. This is an excellent place for beginners and families with children (that have some swimming skills and floatation devices), as the water is usually quite calm and on some days, completely flat in the area. 400ft off shore are some of the largest, most accessible reefs you will find with tons of wildlife to view. 2 ladders to enter/exit the water, and the entry area is open and clear of hazards. Make sure you take a look at the signs and maps before getting in, and spot the buoys that mark the reefs.

Great place to snorkel right off the street just a 10 minute walk from the cruise port. They rent equipment so you don’t need to bring your own

Very reasonably priced use of scuba gear. They have plenty of gear, fins, masks, if you need those, weights, bcs, regs, and tanks. We did a same day rental, called ahead and showed up without any reservation. The dive shop is conveniently located on the water with 2 ladders for access to swim to Eden Rock. The swim out to the reef is pretty far, in my opinion. We have only done boat dives in the past. They gave some instruction and a visual of where the reef was and dive route. They recommend to swim out to the reef, above the water, and then to descend once you’re out. I personally wish I had descended closer to shore, because I would have identified that depth gauge wasn’t registering anything consistent less than 35 feet, and could have more easily returned and swapped out gear. I wasn’t able to assess my rate of ascent or safety stop depth, so I stayed attached to my buddy, whose gauge worked. It wasn’t ideal. I would recommend a gauge check after entering the water, but before the swim out. The visibility was great. The water was calm. The reef itself was absolutely beautiful. Lots of fish and wildlife at the reef and all along the shoreline. Perfect spot for diving or snorkeling. There is a fresh water shower and a rinse tank, which is really nice to wash off the salt.

Went there with my son to do some snorkeling. Staff was very friendly, easy, and a short walk from the cruise ship pier. There is some great snorkeling there! They do have lockers for rent.

Mario was incredible. It had been a few years since my husband and I had been diving. He did an excellent safety debrief and helped us refresh to make sure we were very safe. It was 2 shore dives which were both fantastic. No boats needed. The only downer were the other guests- very rude and unfriendly but my husband and I still had a blast spotting squid and rays. We would do it again! Thank you Mario!!!

I snorkelled here with my 7 year old and stuck to the surface. Was a very good experience. Recommend by friends that visited a few months prior. An abundance of Caribbean fishes to see and beautiful corals. My visit was short but I would def visit again.!

Flourishing, abundant reef, making for a great snorkeling location. Despite already having our own equipment, the staff at ERDC were very friendly and allowed us to park in their lot while we explored the reef.

Eden Rock Diving Centre is outstanding. The fish life this close to shore is wonderful. Fanulous place to go for a leisure dive or snorkel. Silversidrs the restaurant upstairs is great. Food was hot and tasty and the service went above and beyond. A must go to!

Me and my wife had a great time here. It was only a 10 minute walk from the cruise port. She was able to snorkel while I was able to dive. She was able to see some of the largest fish she has ever seen ( tarpon, barracuda, and a nurse shark). The swim throughs at Devils Grotto were great to dive. They rent all the snorkel and scuba gear on site and their are good restaurants close by to grab lunch. We had a great time!

This was THE BEST experience of my life! The workers at the time, were wonderful! They made me feel safe, led us on many beautiful dives, under watchful guidance. They gave us tips, reminders, encouragement, and Patience! To scuba, isn't heaven in earth. It is heaven under the sea. I thought I would be scared, and I was, briefly. But once you get familiar and see the amazement of another world. I have never been in such awe!

Really enjoyed my dive experience here! The divemaster was great and got in two solid dives for us even though we didn’t have a lot of time, which we really appreciated. We saw plenty of cool fish, swam around in the reefs, and saw a ray!

I highly recommend to get a guided 2 tank dive. Sure the staff was great, but the bonus is taking advantage of all the swim throughs with a guide. Its a bit scary, but fun, It would be easy to miss these swim throughs on your own. For our dives we had Mario in the office and Ruby as our guide. We can't say enough good things about them. We will be back and will do a guided dive the next time as well!

We’ve been here twice this holiday, once to snorkel with family and once to dive, just the two of us. Great dive centre, very helpful, easy access to the water and lots of fish. Fun diving the caves, inlets and fabulous food after!

Take a right out of the cruise terminal and walk 8 minutes to Eden Rock for an affordable and memorable cruise excursion. We rented snorkeling equipment (including fins) for a very reasonable price at Eden Rock. I wish I had underwater photography equipment to include photos of what we saw while snorkeling, but you'll have to take my word that it was pretty awesome. Coral reefs, and many different types of tropical fish excited to swim with curious tourists made this very special. We enjoyed their cocktails and food menu while relaxing in the shade and the staff were very friendly, attentive and knowledgeable about the diving experience. A huge thank you to Mario and the team! We had an awesome time 🥳🤿🏊🏻🌞

We had a very windy December day. So disappointed we could not get in the water this time. The staff is really friendly and sympathetic. Well worth the trip even on a windy day.

One of our favorite snorkeling sites (Eden Rock and Devil's Grotto). Huge area with lots to see. Bring a buoy as there are a few boats including cruise ships. There is parking and an outdoor shower and a restaurant/bar. Staff are there to direct where you should snorkel.

We did a shore dive here yesterday morning. Eden Rock is an incredible dive site with stunning underwater scenery, but unfortunately, this review is for the diving center itself, not the site. Our experience was impaired by the poor customer service we received. The employee who assisted us, a blonde girl with a British accent, was rude from the moment we arrived. She seemed to act as though we were inconveniencing her at every turn, huffing, puffing, and rolling her eyes whenever we asked for assistance or information. While the dive site is fantastic, the extremely poor service left a bad impression. I can't help but feel this kind of attitude will drive potential customers away, which is truly a shame considering how amazing the location is. Customer service should match the quality of the dive site, and sadly, that wasn't the case here.

Nice spot for snorkeling. Easily accessible from dive shop. They’re very nice and went looking for anti fog spray, they did not have any for sale but let us use theirs. Easy swim to the snorkeling sites. Seems like a lot of people dive there. Also the cruise ships anchor close to there so you see (and hear) them. Overall a nice quick snorkeling spot, got to see puffer fish, barracuda, and a bunch of other fish.

Wonderful diving center! Mario and Alex took great care of our dive group. We had so much fun! This was a return trip for us and we look forward to the next opportunity. The equipment was top-notch and the whole experience was relaxed and professional. The dives were beautiful. I especially liked seeing the tarpon and the sunlight streaming through the canyons.

Hands down one of my best / most memorable dives. Booked in advance, staff was very friendly and responsive. Walked in with no gear, got a a fantastic 2 tank guided dive (highly recommend). Shout out to Ruby- she was fantastic, fun to be around and highly skilled. Don’t try and navigate the reefs on your own for the first time, I’ve been diving for a minute and trust me it’s an overwhelming, beautiful maze down there. Get the guide. Have fun , dive safe, we will definitely be back.

I recently had the pleasure of diving with Eden Rock Diving Center and wanted to share my positive experience with the diving community. Our adventure took us to Devil's Grotto and Eden Rock, and it was nothing short of amazing. The shore dive was perfect for our group, which included both experienced divers like myself and family members who were snorkeling. The variety of reefs and aquatic life at both locations exceeded our expectations. The swimthroughs added an extra layer of excitement to the dive, making it a truly memorable experience. Our guide, Ruby, played a crucial role in making the dive exceptional. She was not only skilled and safety-conscious but also incredibly informative. Ruby shared fascinating insights about the marine life and the underwater landscape, enhancing our overall appreciation for the dive sites. The fact that she provided us with a generous hour of exploration on each dive made the experience even more enjoyable. However, I must mention that the guided tour cost gave me a bit of pause. While I understand the value of having a knowledgeable guide, I found the pricing a tad high, especially on the first dive where we had a group of six. The second dive, with only two people, still carried the same cost. Comparing this to a private guided dive I did in Cozumel the next day, where the cost was significantly lower at $35 per dive, left me contemplating the pricing structure. Despite the cost consideration, I want to emphasize that the overall experience was fantastic, and I would certainly consider returning. The breathtaking underwater scenery, coupled with Ruby's expertise, made for an unforgettable adventure. I hope Eden Rock Diving Center takes into account the feedback on pricing to ensure that this incredible experience remains accessible to a broader audience. Thank you to the Eden Rock Diving Center team for a great dive, and I look forward to future underwater adventures with your shop.

Awesome spot to snorkel or scuba. You can bring your own gear or rent what you need there. Their back patio area was set up well to gear up and was nice to hang out. The guy who gave us the site orientation was super knowledgeable and funny.

Eden Rock has the best shore access snorkelling anywhere in Grand Cayman and we tried them all. Spectacular reefs 150 yards from shore. It’s completely free to enter with a good ladder to enter the water. The dive Center has a washroom, outdoor shower and equipment rentals as well as a bar. Mario runs the dive shop and he is extremely friendly and helpful. Of course the shore access diving is even better than snorkelling but we were there to snorkel. Whether diving or snorkelling, you need to try this place out.

Probably one of the easiest places to dive from and close to the cruise port for those traveling here for the day. Devil’s Grotto is an awesome dive from their dock.

Good mini spot for a bit of snorkeling, even diving if you bring a buddy diver with you, they rent the fins, mask and snorkel farelly cheap, as well as the diving gear, the area at the back of the shop is cristal clear and the scenery of the ocean bottom gets really good as you get to the markers. There are shops all around with a wide range of selections for food. The shorter of the two ladies there, is a lovely person, very cheerful, respectful and professional; in my view, the other lady is rough around the edges when it comes to customer service, but overall, I recommend this place if you are in the mood for a refreshing moment in the water.

I have nothing but great things to say about this dive op. We did both dives and they were absolutely out of this world. The staff were more than accomodating to our every need. We were registered quickly, given our tanks and in the water within 20 minutes of arriving. The British girl (I can't remember her name, but you will recognize her with her contagious laugh) gave us a very detailed briefing of the reefs, resulting in two amazing dives. Thank you Eden Rock!
