    I visited this Jimmy John’s location for lunch on a weekday. There was the usual lunchtime crowd from an array of local businesses. I walked up to the counter and placed my order. The lady took my order and as I was in the process of paying, took a phone call for a phone/computer order and never returned. My sandwich was called out by the sandwich artist while I stood at the cash register wondering if my payment went through, if I would get a receipt, or if the lady that took my order would even acknowledge my existence. Nope. So, I picked up my sandwich and spent the rest of the afternoon in a state of confusion. Welcome to another episode of.... The Twilight Zone.

    You have a mandate that literally ends tomorrow. Less than 24 hours. And you want to throw out a paying customer in a completely empty restaurant over a mask? I get it. It’s a mandate. That’s fine. But there is a way to say something to someone, and then there is THIS. The employee that works here. He had the audacity to tell me to go outside, and call in my order. I would’ve been in and out in a matter of 2 minutes. But instead I sat there (maskless) for about 10 minutes arguing with him instead. That’s the common sense these people have. Pathetic and just overall rude. I don’t know when treating people like people became so hard, but it’s not right and this all comes down to management. As you can see from every review on here.

    This JJ location is going from “Freaky fast, freaky fresh, Jimmy John's, freak yeah!” to “Freaky SLOW, freaky RUDE, Jimmy John's, freak WHATEVER!” Rude rude and rude staff, unprofessional, worst customer service ever, I don’t know what happened to this place, it used to be freaky awesome. We placed a large order today to be delivered at noon, it didn’t get to our office until 12:35PM, I called the store a few times to inquire about my order and the guy who answered the phone was short, rude unhelpful and very unprofessional, he didn’t even try to find out where my order was, the only thing he kept saying was “we had many orders scheduled to be delivered at the same time” not my problem, fix your system to provide better service to your customers, he offered no help but it gets better, the girl who delivered our food was just as rude, unfriendly and unprofessional as the guy.. I was very disappointed, I also noticed the receipt stated “DELAY” not sure what that means but if they decided to delay my order, a courtesy call would’ve been nice.

    STAY AWAY! Customer service was just terrible. The manager clearly does not care. They made my sandwich incorrectly. When i pointed it out he tried to accuse me of ordering it incorrectly. He was so argumentative i asked for a credit and left. There are way too many sandwich shops to choose from for this type of service.

    I’m here now 10:15 am. google says it opened at 10. Door is locked, no one inside. No hours on the door. Lights are on. Drive out of my way to this location that opened at 10. 😔

    Came in person with my grandparents - their orders were correct but my order was wrong. Not sure how a club lulu was heard as a country club, but that’s what I received instead. Tried calling twice, no answer. If someone can offer me a refund, please reach out.

    ABSOLUTELY HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE!!! Let me start out by saying that I have been going to this JJ's near my house for over 3 years and this is the 3rd time I've experienced such poor service. Today I placed an order for a sandwich and I asked the employees to put the meat first on the bread not the backwards way they switched to doing. The worker said "No we don't do that here!" and I explained that by the time I get home the bun is often soggy from the vegetables against it. The other worker making my sandwich responded with "If we do that for you then we'd have to do it for everyone" mind you I was the only person in the store at the time. I asked if they could make an accommodation given my explanation of why and they responded with "If you don't like it you can call corporate!" I was like is this a joke, I asked for a simple alteration to my sandwich, just put the meat on the bread first then veggies on top. I told them you know I've been coming here for a long time now and because of this you guys just lost a loyal customer, they said "We don't care." I NEVER EVER leave reviews about anything but the situation that transpired deserves everyone's attention, if they don't care about their customers then take your business to someone who does! I will never order from this location again, how pathetic.

    Called for delivery and they said my address is out of their delivery zone. 1.9 miles away and it's "outside of delivery zone". I tell them that it's literally 3 minutes away and person taking my order finally decides to take the order. 25 minutes later, get a call from possibly the manager and he tells me he's going to have to cancel the order because it is outside of the delivery zone. Tell him it's literally 3 minutes away. He says, "sir, I'm looking at your address right now and it is outside of your delivery zone. I'm cancelling your order." What kind of outdated system do they have? Could they not have just used google maps to think, "oh, this guy is actually pretty close"? Also, why did it take 25 minutes to receive a call from a "freaky fast" restaurant? I called the next nearest location and the guy had a much better attitude in Buffalo Grove. He gave me the tip to order online and they will have to deliver anyways. Tried it out and bam, sends me to the first address I tried with the people that said I was outside of their delivery zone. Fingers crossed that it gets delivered. Maybe I'll have to wait 30 minutes for another cancellation call. Garbage service at this location. Edit: Contacted manager from his response below and he did provide good service and apologized. Delivery was fast for the order. Will continue to order and see if it was a one time thing. Updating to 3 stars.

    Placed an order on 6/16 around 7:15pm. Someone from the store calls me about 10 minutes later asking if I can meet the driver outside because his phone wasn’t working. Fine, I agreed to. At least he called ahead and let me know. Before I hung up on him, I asked him if he could please make sure my sandwich is cut in half like I specified in the instructions and he said that it is cut in half. When I open up the sandwich, I’m disappointed to see it’s not cut in half. I call the store and the same person that called me earlier picks up and I ask for the person in charge, to which he says that he’s in charge. I voice my displeasure with him because he promised my sandwich would be cut in half. When I asked for his name, he tells me, no kidding, uhhh I don’t have a name. More than once. Although I appreciate the fact that he said I could make a complaint to Corporate, I feel a bit upset he didn’t acknowledge he messed up and pretended to play dumb and say he doesn’t have a name when I asked for his name. This is the 3rd time I’ve ordered from this store in Riverwoods and all 3 times when I specified to have the sandwich cut in half, it never came cut in half. Worst customer service, rude employee over phone, and I sincerely regret leaving a tip when it’s been a disappointing experience.

    Terrible service from the Manager Alfonso. Has a line of people in shop and continues to honor the online orders first. Seems he only cares about the delivery orders. Took 9 min to get my sandwich in shop. Freaky fast....
