My son loves coming here to climb, but this was the first time we came as a birthday party guest. The staff seemed overwhelmed and rude at every bend. Every aspect of this establishment needs a complete overhaul, starting with the management. Upon entering through the doors, it’s quite clear that the rugs by the counter have not been vacuumed for a really long time. The smell in the cave system was a deplorable combination of feet, sweat and dust. The bathrooms on the party room floor were completely out of service and there was a pungent smell of raw sewage as we were leaving. It’s difficult for me to believe that there weren’t numerous health and safety violations from that alone, but wait.. there’s more.. the family bathroom on the main floor had a non-working kids toilet and a missing faucet handle on one of the sinks. We were a party of 11 children and 11 adults and the quality of the service and food was far beyond sub standard . Not only was the pizza undercooked and tasteless, the chicken wings were pink and slimy. This is unacceptable, it’s dangerous, and could seriously put someone’s health at risk. We asked for ranch dressing, and without hesitation, we were given a used bottle of ranch that looked like it had been passed around from party to party. These children, who are employed here, have clearly not been properly trained on food safety and cross-contamination. When we complained, the host acted as if she was doing us a favor. When we proceeded to involve the manager, she offered us excuses along with $60 discount from our $700 bill. She also made sure that we understood , that the party host is the one responsible for preparing the food.. what??? Why?? My friend had us all leave and go to a different restaurant since we and the children were all still hungry.

Came here with my 6 year old for a birthday party and had an absolute blast! Make sure to wear comfortable clothes (both adults and kids!), you'll want to syck by your kids to help so be prepared to be at least a little active. If you're there with a little (under 3 maybe?) You'll probably want to go in the big playground with them. Lots to do, great staff!

Went here for a birthday party so can't speak on the price. I will say, it was fun enough that I'd recommend it and look forward to coming back. It's pretty much a rock climbing place with different themed walls. Think castle, beanstalk, volcano, and more. Probably best for kids 8± who are already big climbers. The quality of the equipment all looked top notch. My only two issues were the staffing and the use of the harnesses. There weren't many staff members so when I had a question it could take a bit to find someone. The harnesses would click in fine, but removing the key took a lot of work.

My daughter loves this place and almost all the birthdays parties for her friends are usually here so we are a regular. She always have fun, even in the busy days. I think lately this place lacks on maintenance, the upper level superficies are with a lot of dusk and spiderwebs. Also there is a lot of garbage behind the playground where some kids usually came out from the back. For being a place with that many children and many kids maybe thinking about cleaning should be done more often. The vent that you are able to see is filled with dusk. Also there is not system to control children coming in and out, anyone can easily come in there is not one at the door, other than getting an sticker for your party, so no too secure. Other than that the parties are always easy to do.

Great for toddlers and elementary school aged kids. So we loved it. They had a bit of a rough start I know we originally had some issues booking, but now with two locations here, I think they have it work out now. We adored that they had great staff working to help the kids as well as a super clean facility. It’s great for Birthday parties, homeschool outings or social club outings, etc. Fun walls Min. required weight is 35 lbs. and max. is 350 lbs. and Rope courses / aNinja course min. 48 inches tall. If your kid is less than 48” tall or under 6 ish they have a toddler play area also. Times are 30 minutes to 1.5hour Arrive 15 min early to go through their safety intro it’s required. FYI It’s a super fun place and to be honest I was surprise how much more challenging it was than I had anticipated. You need a min weight and it’s not easy to move on the cord as it’s meant to stop a free fall. It’s super fun and a great way to work out too!

My daughter celebrated her 3rd birthday here. She was sad she wasn't able to do the rock climbing or other activities. She ended up having a good time in the designated area for her age.

The kids had a blast. Would love to go back at some point. Side note dont go with your kids in the cave or do. It wasn't bad. Just know you will hit your head a lot. Definitely worth it.

The place is super fun, my kids absolutely love coming here to climb. But, I they would do a better job cleaning the floors and equipment. Things seem dirty and there’s dust and hair all over the place. I’m sure they can do better.

Attended a birthday party here and i would not recommend this place to anyone. I have been to plenty indoor kid playgrounds locally from Chicago to Schaumburg, Northbrook etc. but this place not only SMELLS TERRIBLE but was SO DIRTY that I couldn’t believe my eyes (see attached photos). Only ONE family bathroom (toddler) appropriate in the whole facility (no toilet seat liners in regular restrooms or step stools). Toddler playground is not gated at all. Gates to main area with climbing walls are not monitored so with toddler area not gated it was so chaotic with little ones wanting to go there. Party rooms are upstairs, they have no elevator to the 2nd floor so you have to carry strollers etc. yourself. They were completely out of any juices for the party we were attending so the only thing kids were able to have was water or soda. Even the wall clock was set to the wrong time and tv wasn't working . In general the place is just a mess and needs better management.

Tidy and clean, not too crowded. Interesting with kids around 7-10 years old. There were available tables for parents. Kids learning how to connect and disconnect themselves to and from safety rope. It is really safe and will not allow to disconnect by mistake.

I recently took my son to Funtopia and it was an absolute blast! The facility was clean, well-maintained, and the staff was friendly and welcoming. The highlight of our visit was definitely the rock climbing wall. My son is an avid climber and he was blown away by the variety of routes and the challenge of the wall. The staff was knowledgeable and helpful, offering tips and encouragement throughout the climb. In addition to the rock climbing, there was a range of other fun activities for kids of all ages. My son loved the trampoline park and the obstacle course, and I was happy to see that there were plenty of games and activities designed for younger children as well. Overall, I had a great experience at Funtopia Glenview and would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a fun, active, and safe place for kids to play. The staff went above and beyond to make sure that we had a great time, and I can't wait to go back again!

Very fun for the kids, some of the holes in the caves are small/narrow but overall fun! My kids had lots of fun holing on the bar on the slide and when they let go they slid all the way down. Again, very fun for kids that are between the ages 3-13

My daughter had her 6th birthday party here. We had kids in ages ranging from age 2-15 in attendance. There was something for everyone. I wsa even able to play around in the jungle gym. = ) Osmara, was the kindest and most efficient host that I have had the pleasure of working with involving these types of places. She kept everything on time, she was pleasant and great to work with. I would highly recommend Funtopia. Make sure all kids have socks and shoes to participate.

Had a party here a few weeks ago. The staff was amazing and our party host Sara did a great job. Kids had a blast. My only issue was the temperature, the AC wasn’t working but the staff did set up some fans. Great place for a party.

Great spot. Not a place for toddlers - they have a small play area for 1-2 year olds but it’s more of a waiting area. My 3.5 year old liked the slides and jungle gym, but was a little scared of some of the climbing activities. I think if he was a little older 4.5-5 years old, he would’ve loved it. He still did a couple activities with the harness and thought it was fun when I was supporting him and making him feel safe.

Kids loved it. Will be back again soon to celebrate their birthday. Would be nice if they offered membership or other packages. Nice place and cleaner than Chuck E. Cheese for the most part.

So many fun climbing walls and obstacles. Great for older kids and parents too! Elementary school and middle school age kids will love this. There is an auto belay system attached to each climbing station. You are on your own to clip in and out. Some of the clips are a little tricky. It's best to stay with your kids to help with the clips. Kids climb for $20 for 1 hour and parents that want to climb pay $10. The staff fits you into a harness that you wear for the duration of your climb. It's an extra $3 per person if you want to do the slide. Included: about 30 climbing stations, an overhead obstacle course, a tunnel cave and a soft climbing play area. Wear gym shoes and athletic clothes. No jewelry, Make a reservation in advance!

Went to a birthday party here and all the kids had a great time. Very safe and a lot of staff to help kids if they needed it. The only complaint is that it was very warm in the facility. Would definitely host a party here or just go for a visit

Ok got here early as website advised to watch safety video and get harness on. Waited 10 minutes in line for harnesses but no safety video shown. So naturally kids don't know how to operate calibers so tried my best with all 3 grandkids. Kids got hungry oh the kitchen is broke unless your here for a party. I'm aggravated why can't the post on there website kitchens broken. It's hot and muggy inside. I'm tried of false advertising

This place is fun for the children, but it's kind of a nuance for the adults. It's hard to find a parking spot, it's always crowded, often there are no available slots and you have to deal with the children's disappointment that they can't play there. I would say the kids have fun here but they could have fun everywhere, so we often select another place that's more likely to play than driving here and going to another place again.

It’s a good place for people who like challenging things. We went for someone’s birthday party and the pizza had egg in it and as vegetarians we don’t eat egg either. There shouldn’t be egg.The structure was pretty good too. Also not a lot of food is allowed. But, it has a pretty good structure. However, they should make more easy things.

Fun place for older kids. They have an area for 0-8, but its mostly for older kids. They have climbing walls, caves to crawl in, and a jungle gym area. Also, a tiny spot for under 2. The climbing wall area you really need to be with your child. They have a few attendants but seem to space out or talk amongst themselves. I thought they would be more proactive in hooking kids up correctly in order to start climbing. But we had to keep calling them over to help. Some kids were yelling "help me" and parents were trying to help but attendants I think need to be more watchful, perhaps more workers and more alert. They have food.

Took my son for his 3rd birthday! The soft area is a lot of fun for younger kids! Looking forward to when he is a little bigger and can do some climbing! Only drawback was he could see everything, so he kept asking to explore other areas and we had to tell him no. But he had a blast and definitely think we will go back!

I really liked the place. My 6 yo son loved the challenge. We were there with the birthday party and the whole place was for us, so we had plenty of space. Staff was helpful. Recommend.

Was a little worried due to Covid. Thankfully, went on a Saturday afternoon. We booked online and were worried it would be packed. Fortunately the staff had limited the amount of people to accommodate safe playing areas. My girls had a blast. The staff as usual is very friendly and assist when in need. They love “The Slide Guy”. He is always interacting with them. Very professional. Kudos to the staff for keeping all safe. Yet, feels like a regular day at Funtopia.

You are in the right place if you want your child to have fun and exercise when weather traps you indoors. Less kids than usual mean no long waits for attractions. Designated for kids 4-8yrs old.

Water dripping on your head, wet floor where kids walk barefoot. Not just that but one of the attractions is a "cave tunnel" - it reeks of sweat, urine and used diapers. I'm more than sure we will never come back here again.

Loved the place. It was our first time there and my kids loved it.However the employee working the slide where you hold on and let go once at the top kept yelling and being obnoxious every 5 seconds while a kid was on there all you heard was "you deserve this"! ( i have multiple videos of videoing my kid while hes being obnoxious) i know he thought he was being funny and maybe it was funny at first or even couple more times but after the 10000 time hearing it, it sounds dumb. Other parents that were sitting by us and we were conversing with didnt appreciate it either. One point the other mom said to me I wish he would go on break already or shut up.

We were celebrating there birthday, the time was included 2 hours, when everyone came, they need to register their children, the time went by, when everyone gathered started to wear insurance, the time went. After the kids had played, and called for a pizza, that stood on the table for more than half an hour, it was cold. After pizza the children could no longer go down into the play area, they need staying in room, and it was impossible to stop a large number of children ... they take the extra money, because the children went to play area....I think, it’s not seriously. Ask that there everything before you book your party, to avoid misunderstandings)))

I had so much fun. You must be 52 inches to do the ropes course, i'll do it next time. My favorite was jumping to the big bag. -Hazel (7 years, 51 inches)
