I've waited all winter for this restaurant to open, finally they did and satisfied me and my friends with the same top quality meat as their first location. Above all, the huge restaurant inside must be the best Korean barbecue restaurant in Chicago. Oh~,, I can't help but recommend "the Korean Candy" Cocktail enjoyed with the barbecue. If you are in Chicago, you should definitely experience this restaurant's quality of meat and side dishes and their quick service.

This place is Def overrated especially the price they charge . $35 for premium meats. None of their meats are premium. They're just ordinary choice meats . Barely any marble on the steaks or beef in general. Def better places around .

To sum it up: Great place, great food, great employees! This was the first time my wife and I visited Mr. Kimchi at Randhurst Mall in Mt. Prospect. We drove past a few times and always wanted to go in. This time we made it! We ordered the regular all-you-can-eat BBQ as I am not much of a seafood fan, which is one of the prime ingredients of the premium all-you-can-eat BBQ choice. For the meat, we chose the beef brisket, spicy pork, and garlic pork belly in the first go - the order listed here reflecting our preference of taste. On the side we had the egg casserole and fried veggie dumplings. Our server, Billy, was very attentive and spot-on with his suggestions. For example, he asked us "Which meat did you like most?" and suggested the soy marinated pork rib then when we answered, which both of us loved. The ingredients are very fresh and very high quality. This is an all-you-can-eat place and at times such places reduce the quality to be able to justify lower prices - not so Mr. Kimchi! The quality was really exceptional! Additionally, the drinks were great, too! The OB Premier Pilsner I had, which was suggested by our server Billy of course, was spot-on and for me, as being of German heritage, a great beer to have. We finished our lunch with two Mai Tais, which, again, were of high quality. Many times we had cocktails in other places where the alcohol was almost completely absent to keep the costs low, but not so at Mr. Kimchi where quality prevails and where the amount of alcohol was great and as it should be! So, both me and my wife really liked Mr. Kimchi and had a great time with some quality food and superb atmosphere. Mr. Kimchi is one of the great places to remember and we'll be back for sure!

At $35 per person premium option, Mr. Kimchi Korean BBQ offers a decent all-you-can-eat experience. The pork belly steals the show with its tender, juicy meat and crispy exterior. While the galbi falls short compared to a la carte restaurants, it still satisfies. Surprisingly, the beef brisket is tender and flavorful. The squid stands out among the seafood options, being exceptionally tender and not chewy. The two types of intestines are an acquired taste and best avoided if you're not adventurous. In addition, it is worth mentioning that the service was very good. The attentive staff members were friendly and accommodating, ensuring a pleasant dining experience despite any minor hiccups. Overall, Mr. Kimchi provides a good deal for Korean BBQ at a reasonable price.

Such an amazing place with delicious food!! I’ve been going to their original location since 2021 and have been loving their new location. It’s the same great quality as the original location, just more modern and spacious. My only complaint is I wish there were still call buttons on the tables. It’s a bit harder to grab a servers attention at this location. I went last night, was seated in the corner near the back of the bar, and our waitress took quite a while to check on us even though it was not incredibly busy. She brought me a mango lemonade when I asked for strawberry and we asked for 3 meats at a time, and each time she only brought us 2. I had to ask for lettuce wraps, the ones they charge for, because I assumed they didn’t provide free lettuce anymore, when actually she just brought it out about 20 minutes into our meal. These are, of course, not big deals, but it did make not make for the most pleasant experience. aside from that, this is one of my favorite restaurants and I’m always looking forward to my next visit!

Went here for the first time this Thurs with a party of 8 for a late dinner at 8pm. We were seated right away. And the place is half-packed. We had the premium set which offered seafood and intestine options. Banchans were delicious. Service was excellent. Place was not smoky and well-ventilated. The Strawberry smoothie is supposed to have real fruit chunks but it didn't have it and it was way too sweet. I had to dilute it with water because it was too much. But other than that it was excellent place and will come here again.

My partner and I visited Mr. Kimchi for the first time and were amazed at not only the quality of food, but also the service. Especially, Galbi and Samgyeobsal were really good. This is easily one of, if not the best meal we’ve ever eaten. I cannot recommend this place enough! Such a warm and welcoming environment! I want to come to this restaurant everydayy🫢

We enjoyed our dinner here, but the food was not up to our standards of Korean bbq meat. The meat was soft and tender, but lacked the flavor and taste we are used to. Our waitress was amazing and the place was new and modern. Overall a good experience. Unsure if I would recommend.
