The first time I came here with my boyfriend when it was grand opening; the food was fresh and good. We decided to came back today since we was in the area; the food was not good. The chicken was just sitting there and they use old oil to put the chicken back in. I know you not supposed to do that in restaurants. It grossed us out. The workers there today seems like they don’t want to be there and lazy. I would not recommend coming here and wasting your money.

My recent encounter with Popeye's left me utterly frustrated and disappointed. I attempted to use their supposedly convenient online ordering service to pick up my order at the drive-through, but what followed was nothing short of a disaster. After placing my order online, I excitedly drove to the Popeye's location, expecting a smooth and hassle-free experience. However, upon arrival, the restaurant staff informed me that they had not received my order. I couldn't believe it! How could a well-established fast-food chain like Popeye's fail to receive a simple online order? Despite their blunder, I decided to remain patient and give them the benefit of the doubt. I waited in my car for a mind-numbing 30 minutes while they attempted to sort out the issue. During this time, the drive-through line grew longer, and yet, there was no sign of my order being prepared. When I inquired about the progress of my order, the staff seemed clueless and uninterested in resolving the problem promptly. Their lack of communication and disregard for their customers' time was infuriating. Throughout the ordeal, not a single apology or compensation was offered for the inconvenience caused. It was evident that customer satisfaction was not a priority for Popeye's, and they were content with treating their patrons as mere inconveniences. In conclusion, my drive-through experience at Popeye's was nothing short of a nightmare. I strongly advise anyone seeking a pleasant and hassle-free dining experience to avoid Popeye's at all costs. Their incompetence and disregard for their customers are simply unforgivable. There are plenty of other fast-food chains out there that value their customers' time and satisfaction far more than Popeye's does.

Got takeout here and service was great. Spicy sandwiches with fries are never a let down! Had my order taken by a nice lady named Amparo I believe. Food was fresh and I quickly got my order. I’ll definitely be back to try the bone-in chicken.

Came here with my boyfriend a few months backs and everything was great. We came again tonight through the drive through (no one else in line). We ordered a spicy chicken sandwich and spicy tenders, none of which were spicy. The food was overly greasy. My chicken tenders were undercooked and rubbery, so i could not finish my meal. very disappointing as they are starting to become like the Buffalo Grove one. never coming back.

Where do I start! DO NOT EAT HERE!!! They continue to leave food out my order, I'm starting to feel this is deliberate. The chicken is never fresh, if you ask for fresh it's a problem. The management is horrible. I drove 15 mins to get what was missing and still had a hard time. This is by far the WORST Popeyes I've ever been to. SAVE YOUR MONEY!!!

Uber Eats FAIL. Ordered Uber Eats through here, Uber driver claimed my order was never received by them, despite the app clearly telling me that it was both picked up and then ultimately delivered by my Uber driver. Restaurant refused to process the order then and there with the carrier so I was left with nothing but a $30 bill from Uber Eats after waiting 1 hour. Absolutely ridiculous.

The chicken nuggets were very greasy and just did not taste right. The fries were soggy. The biscuit and coleslaw were very good. I agree with one of the previous posters. The oil needs to be changed badly. With KFC or Browns right nearby you should be better than this. Next time will keep driving to KFC.

It was my first and last time visiting the Wheeling, IL location. First off, I had to spend over ten minutes explaining my order, which was comical, because I never had difficulty making myself clear. At first, I thought, it was this employee's first day on the job but soon it became clear he was more focused on a conversation he was having than he was with taking my order. When he finally repeated my order back to me and I paid, I had to wait for my food long enough that I was about to cut my losses and ask for my money back. When my order was brought to me, I was so frustrated that I left angry and regretted that I didn't double check my order, seeing how the employee that brought out my food read off my order correctly before handing it to me. So, you could imagine my confusion when I got home to see that the order incorrect. Not so much so that I thought that I received someone else's food but enough to realize that the staff at Popeyes #13763 are incompetent.
