We went to Palm Court because we were interested in the Jaz artist performing that night. The food was a huge disappointment. The rolls were salty. The French Onion soup baked with parmesan blend and prepared with Italian seasonings. We ordered the porterhouse medium rare, it was served blue (not cooked inside). The top was grey with grill marks. The compound "butter" on the steaks did not melt. The filet portion of the porterhouse smelled and tasted spoiled. We then ordered replacements. The new filet seemed fine, but my companion had lost his appetite. The Chicken Picatta was poorly seasoned, The chicken was cooked well. The sauce was lacking the wine and lemon flavors and salt. It was thickened with corn starch and was lumpy. I asked for sauteed spinach and I was served frozen chopped spinach. The Key Lime pie looked spectacular. It needed a little more lime flavor (maybe more zest) and it had a funny flavor, possibly from the refrigerator or the burnt bitter tips of the merengue topping.

Place has been a round for a while and hidden behind a gas station with an entrance that is easy to miss. It is a nice place with some dated features, but is overall taken care of well as a supper club. I heard they have live music at times too. While there I had the chicken Alfredo, not bad, but have had better. If I were to go again, I'd get a steak of some sort. People at my table had one and they did the cool light it with the flame of ever clear ontop. Would eat there again.

I choose this place to celebrate our anniversary. The ambiance is nice, and I thought it will be perfect for this occasion. After all, here is my impression: The food is excellent! Really, really good. Salad, grilled calamari, and top sirloin- everything was perfect! Service- super! The only thing I didn’t like is the average age of people who were sitting there :-). Mostly elderly people. I don’t have nothing against it, but at one point I started wondering what we are doing there. The only two people younger than 60. 😃 (we are in our 30s) But I have to give them 5 stars because everything was great!

I was taking for the first time my friends here, but kind of got disappointed at this place. I noted on my reservation that my visit is a special event, but we got the table at the corner and if I was looking to be seated at worst place, I wouldn't be able to pick up worst than they picked up for us 😡. Food wasn't anything like on some of the photos that I have seen - we ordered calamari that was hard to chew ( we felt like we are chewing a rubber). Saganaki smelled so bad and impression that should be when they fire it it's not there ( was just small flame). I could go on and on, but I will stop right here. For sure we will not return. ONLY good thing was our server - she was amazing!

Went there recently with my siblings for dinner. This place was a favorite of my parents when they were alive. I was there with my parents way back when they were alive. Like the past, the food today is still really good. I had the 14oz top sirloin steak and it was cooked ot perfection. Tender, juicy and flavorful. Everyone at the table loved their meals. Service was great, from the bartenders to the waiters. I highly recommend going to Palm Court you will not be disappointed.

A few of my friends and I enjoyed the igloo dining experience very much this past Friday. We had Jamal as a server and he was fantastic. While this year was much different then the usual holiday get together , we had the best time, and the whole staff at palm court was to thank for that! Great food, excellent service, and a great time all around.

We came to celebrate our wedding anniversary. Love this place! The food was amazing as usual. Our favorites were Oysters Rockefeller, escargot, grilled calamari were awesome. For main course we ordered house special halibut Mediterranean style and rack of lamb. It was delicious! Great experience, great service. We will definitely come back.

On Friday night 4 of us had a dinner at the Palm Court restaurant in Arlington Heights. The food was Ok, not great. The service was good but little pushy to order more stuff. The most interesting part comes later. The waitress brings the bill with 20% tips included in the charge. It was only 4 of us and we asked why it is included in the bill. The answer was: I don't get paid enough here and I don't make enough money. We asked the manager on the way out to explain us what is going on. The answer shocked us. He said: It is up tp the waiter, up to his/her discretion. What does it mean???? There are no rules in the restaurant???? It means the waiters can do whatever they want ???? It was not the first time we visited this place and never ever experienced something like that !!!! The manager was rude !!! The answer was wrong !!!!! The customer decides how much tips to leave.( we always tip good !!!!) We will NOT recommend this place to anyone!!!! We will NEVER return back!!!! Palm Court, YOU DO NOT TREAT PEOPLE LIKE THAT !!!!!!

Palm Court Restaurant is a can't miss restaurant with an American supper club menu that's hard to beat. Not many places for steak and seafood with a vintage feel... should be on everyone's to do list. Live music, great vibe and definitely fresh seafood. Oysters on the half shell were superb along with the Grilled Scallops with lobster sauce. Our filet mignon medallions were on the medium-well side, so order one temp below normal as we asked for medium-rare. Disappointed that adding three gulf shrimp was $18 upcharge... Ask what portion the MP is beforehand. Entrees are shareable along with well portioned sides. Service is impeccable from reception to table, the staff really can impress. Drinks are stiff and generously poured so if you're looking for an entertaining meal, Palm Court Restaurant has your ticket.

This review is a little deceiving. While I have patronized Palm Court several times over several decades, I'm not frequent. The service received for our group was great. The food was delicious- as I remember. It did seem the portion size to be smaller though. Can't imagine the 'older' crowd spending over a hundred dollars for a meal too frequently. I remember when the 'blue hairs' dominated the patronage here. I believe ownership may be different. With that said, it is a special place. If you're looking for the traditional 'independent' upscale restaurant where you can enjoy a cocktail at the bar, maybe with a piano serenade, a good comfortable relaxing meal, then Palm Court will not disappoint.

Enjoyed the food and service, had a great time. Our igloo was warm and was provided with a Bluetooth speaker. Only thing I could knock something for was my reservation being at 815, didn’t get seated till 830 not a big deal but it’s just one of those things of why it’s important to make a reservation

So about Palm Court. If you're into trendy fusion or Michelin stars, this is not the place for you. However, if you find old school charm, well, charming, then Palm Court is right up your alley. As soon as I stepped inside, I felt like I stepped back in time to an upscale 1960s Vegas restaurant where I could easily imagine the Rat Pack sitting in a high back, plushly cushioned half circle booth, drinking martinis and enjoying the swing band. Okay, so there wasn't a big band performing tonight but the vocalist (complete with a french twist, ruby lipstick, and a red satin dress) fit the bill just fine. And the food? Oof. Very, very good! I started with the french onion soup. There was no gruyere baked over the top but the crouton was good and the soup was the perfect balance of beef and slightly crispy onion flavours. I chose the filet medallions topped with artichoke hearts and béarnaise for my main. Suffice it to say I happily ate every bite! Against my better judgment, I ordered dessert - chocolate mousse. I wasn't actually hungry. I really just wanted to see if they'd serve it in a martini glass. They didn't. Boo! But it tasted lovely, though it wasn't quite as smooth as I'd hoped it would be. Still! I probably ate 1/3 of it before my stomach said, "no more!" I'm tasting my way around Chicagoland's steakhouses - this one did not disappoint!

This restaurant has gone above and beyond during the pandemic to keep their customers safe. The beef Wellington was not cooked correctly even after sending it back but the entire staff was apologetic and acomidating. The other dish we ordered was good and we plan on going back.

Updated: we had a dinner in that bubble, nobody don’t said me that deposit 29$ is for rent that bubble, I thought it will be in my payment when I finish, nobody don’t said me that I must spend at least 150 $ for my dinner and minimum people is 4. And all time they check if you done, people came to restaurant to have relax, but it’s look like I need eat faster and faster because they need to clean. Everything tasty, fish Halibut delicious, duck very delicious, fried calamari and desert good too. Table need to book few days before planning your dinner

Such a fun experience. Food was great. It's an older crowd, but they were all dressed up and ready for a fun night. Definitely not a stuffy supper club vibe. There were live singers the night we went. That definitely added to the ambiance. The food was great. We had a caprese salad and chicken Florentine. Very flavorful dishes. Our waiter, Nick, was very attentive and made us feel like we were at home. The managers/owners were so grateful for the people coming in, but this place is absolutely hopping! I'm so happy I finally went in!

My family have been going to the Palm Court for over 45 years. The previous owners ran a beautiful, well run restaurant with staff that were well trained and friendly. Our wedding showers and many special occasions were celebrated at the Palm Court. We went there yesterday for Mothers Day. Our overall experience was shocking. Some of the food portions were so small for the “holiday” prices. A piece of salmon was thinner and smaller than a peanut butter sandwich. To give them some credit the steaks were a nice size and well cooked. The staff were clearly not trained very well, empty glasses and dirty dishes sat on the table during our entire meal. We’ve decided as a family (28 of us) that after 45+ years we will not be going to the Palm Court again. *a piece of Key Lime pie was $22.

This restaurant is phenomenal! I’ve eaten here a couple times and while I don’t get to visit often, every time I do visit it’s like I’m dining with old friends. The staff are so friendly and helpful, they truly want you to enjoy yourselves. They check up on you frequently to make sure you’re comfortable, your food is good, and just to overall see how you’re enjoying your visit. If for whatever reason something about your visit doesn’t satisfy you or you have an issue while you’re eating, just tell the staff. There’s no need to be rude because they just want what’s best for you. So just communicate with them if you don’t like something, and they will do everything they can to fix it.

I'm posting this after trying to reach out directly to the manager. I left my phone number and also emailed him. However, I never received a reply and thus will post what I wrote to him for readers to ponder. Let me start by saying that I truly want to like the Palm Court. I say that because just over a year ago we ate there for the first time. Our experience was then outstanding. However, later that same year we dined again at the Palm Court but found the experience less enjoyable. Also, we were seated in the fireplace room and nearly froze. The service was not up to par. That being said, I considered it perhaps an off-night and decided not to allow that one experience to taint my overall impression. Unfortunately, things got worse. This past Saturday was our son's college graduation. I made reservations for 5. As before, we were seated in the fireplace room and this time the temperature was ridiculously freezing. I would have suggested to our waiter the issue but he never attended to our table. I noted that others seemed equally uncomfortable and finally a server did go over and turn the AC off. Our waiter was a young gentleman that seemed to be over his head. We ordered the tomato bisque soup which was being offered that evening. It arrived lukewarm and tasteless with odd chunks (I'm not sure what was actually in it). Our waiter never once stopped to refill our water glasses nor attend to our needs. One time he dashed by briskly and simply asked "How was the food" but did not pause long enough for me to even answer or ask for water. After finishing dinner, we waited at least 15 or more minutes for the check to arrive and then again, a long wait to receive the return of my credit card and receipt. It is far too overpriced considering what was provided and especially considering the terrible service. And again, no response from the manager when I tried to address it directly to him.

Had my mother in law's birthday here at 2PM last weekend and it was great. We took our sweet time and our server was so sweet. She was kind and patient and fun to interact with. Food was good and comforting. The place definetly has a old school kind of charm, not a modern contemporary place. We really enjoyed ourselves and would come back! Lost a star because the ceiling vents needed a clean desperately.... they looked very neglected.

Six of us dined in an igloo and had a wonderful time. Everyone was very happy with their drinks (old fashioned, Manhattan, scotch), wines, appetizers (scallops, Oysters Rockefeller), entrees (I had Walleye), and desserts. The staff was really working hard, especially Jessica, who was kind and very funny. The atmosphere was very nice too, comfortable, warm and romantic, with a Bluetooth speaker for us to use. Can't wait to go back!

My wife Beverly and I dined there for the first time Saturday night and we love this place! Great atmosphere and the food was really good! Jacquelyn Vale's singing performance was amazing - making the evening extra special! We had a wonderful conversation with the owner George afterwards - super nice guy! He's doing a great job remodeling the place. We were very impressed! We definitely recommend this place.

First time diner and I have been and worked in the area for over 30 years. Great atmosphere, like stepping back to the old supper clubs. Went after 1 in the afternoon and it was definitely the geriatric crowd. Why? Atmosphere, value and delicious food. I had a French dip with the best crunchy French fries ever. Another has a salmon salad that was a large portion and fantastic. Varied menu. Medium priced, large portions. I will return.

I went to this restaurant tonight and our group had an igloo. I love supporting restaurants right now! They had a heating device right in the entrance to the igloo that was live fire. Great. I walked into it and my coat caught a flame and was destroyed. I went to the owner and he told me that the staff tells people it is there. I said that no one told me and he said that it was basically on me as I arrived a few minutes late and just walked in. He actually brought me himself to the igloo and never warned me of the fire.

  • 1/5 Ankita V. 3 years ago on Google
We had dinner reservations in the igloo with our friends celebrating their anniversary. To start with the food is below average. Do not try the Beef Wellington, it’s terrible. On top of that, middle of our dinner the lights in the parking light were turned off so we couldn’t even see our dinner. Not even to see how meat was cooked. We called to talk to the manager and he was extremely rude. Did not want to listen our concern and he did not much care about what we had to say either. Overall did not leave the place happy at all.

  • 5/5 Christian K. 11 months ago on Google
If you want a great time with some friends, great ambiance, and even greater food there’s no place like palm court. I come here all the time and have never been disappointed. All the servers are very friendly and truly treat all the customers like family. If there’s one thing I know it’s that the owner (George) is the most down to earth person ever. Any issue? (most likely will never happen) He’s there for you. Regardless of all the wonderful things I can say about the staff, the food is just as phenomenal. The greatest desert i’ve ever had is the key lime pie and it was recently introduced. If you have the time stop by and try it and remember this review. Once people start finding out about the key lime pie I know people will only come in just for the pie regardless of all the other great options. In all palm court is a pleasant restaurant for any occasion.

I have been here multiple times, and always great! Food is always good. Love the calamari. Atmosphere is great especially when the singer is there, very soothing. My girlfriend loves date night here. But prices are a bit up there, especially if you get a few drinks. But it's worth it from time too time.

Place is great! I got the 14oz sirloin and it was one of the best steaks I’ve ever had. Could barely finish it. The rolls are excellent! Crusty outside but warm soft inside. House salads were a little lacking on freshness but I assume that’s due to the crazy cold weather. Atmosphere is amazing and I love the music selection. My girlfriend loved her 8oz filet as well. We will be back!

The choice to come here was not ours. Went along with a large group. They put us in a room that looked like a VFW hall or an old folks home. No decoration, bad lighting, long tables and other large groups. Pros: the gin Martinis, the Manhattans, the Cosmos. The staff was attentive though not necessarily to detail. They served a plate to all but one in our party and didn't notice. Cons: The food. Everyone left substantial amounts of food on their plates. My husband ordered a cheeseburger hoping it would be safe. It sucked. Dry and overcooked despite asking for medium rare. Said it tasted like a frozen patty. He didn't finish it. The whitefish, which 3 people got, was "fishy", heavy and not good. All left more than half on their plates. I somehow had the best entrée. I specifically asked the waitress what the best thing on the menu was. She said the coconut curry mahi Mahi. It was Mahi Mahi and there was a coconut sauce, but it tasted nothing like curry, whi h was fine by me. More of a roasted red pepper. It was actually delicious. Needless to say we won't be going here ever again. A huge disappointment overall. And will most certainly look up reviews for large group dinners beforehand and vet the place just as we do when we dine for two.

I will make this short. Our family of five went there for dinner on Thanksgiving. We ordered three prime ribs, a turkey dinner, and a porter house steak. It took forever in between drinks, salad, and finally dinner. The dinners arrived and everything was cold. The porter house steak must have been sitting in the kitchen forever based on the time we waited for it. The one prime rib did not even look like a prime rib. We sent it back for a new one. The turkey was cold and we specifically asked for some dark meat. Not one piece. Probably they only cooked rolls of white turkey meat and never really made whole turkeys. The best part of the the dinner was leaving! The meal was a disaster and needless to say we wont be back next year. I suggest you don't go!!!!

Our party of ten had a 3:34 pm reservation on Thanksgiving Day for our FIRST time eating out on Thanksgiving and it was a disaster. Was very crowded and overbooked. We waited one hour and ten minutes in the lounge ($215. bar tabs) before getting a table. After ordering our meals, we were served a round of drinks for the few that wanted them, our appetizers, soup and some rolls. And then we waited and waited and waited for our dinners. After waiting two hours, we all decided to get up and leave. We complained to the manager/owner, paid for the appetizers and the couple drinks and left. Five of our party said they would NEVER come back to Palm Court again. Went back to my house for Apple, Cherry and Pumpkin pies. What a way to run a restaurant!!!

We were invited to attend "Greek Night" at this restaurant. We walked in and immediately loved the ambiance, size.and cleanliness. Prices on the menu ranged from inexpensive to moderate with a nice array of food choices. Food was wonderful, nicely prepared and ample portions. Wait staff very attentive . Could not find a single fault. Earns the best rating by my standards
