Very disappointed!!! Watch your card and what they charge you for a deposit... I was charged an extra 135 bucks on my card at check in!! After that they put me in messed up room !!! Had construction people outside window at 7am making a tone of noise!!! On top of that the carpet in our room was solid in water when woke up!! They need to update these room and fix the pipe problem. Also train your staff better so there not over charge people !! Worst experience!!!!!! Stay way !!!

“Free breakfast” is not what you think. It’s a few small items off a menu. Thought I ordered the biggest item for the “free breakfast”. A small breakfast burrito with the insides freezing cold! But the tortilla was warm?! How?! This place is odd and they should be a two star hotel. Do yourself a favor and visit the double tree instead.

Very moldy smelling rooms. The staff is very pleasant. The food is ok at best, kind of pricey for the quality of the hotel. The location couldn’t be any better. Its cheap and you get what you pay for. But these rooms make it impossible to enjoy a stay. A lot of music at night from other rooms during our stay as well.

American Airlines put me here - I had no choice. The night check in staff was wonderful. The grounds and rooms are dated and dirty - see photo of thread worn and stained room carpet. The towels had a bad -off sent. Front entrance cigarette butts overflowing for your first impressions. Not a good experience at this place.

I expect more from a Marriott property, A/C in the bedroom made LOTS of noise, but not much cold air. Meanwhile, the person in the main room was freezing because the A/C would not shut off! Front desk said they did not have any extra blankets. The lady at the front desk said she would give us extra points to make up for the problems. That did not happen.

The room was nice and clean. So was our restroom. The only thing was low water pressure. We were on the 3rd floor.

Very weird smell when you first enter the room. The carpet was full of stains. Not every day was cleaning service. I stayed 2 nights , nobody came to clean room, set the bed or replenish stuff. Bathtub is very small, and bottles(shampoo, conditioner, bodywash) mounted on the wall which hit your elbow if not careful. Overall, I was disappointed with Mariiot.

Great location, within walking distance you have :Allstate arena is close, a small shopping mall close with many food options. Facilities are clean and overall you get a feeling of quietness, however walls aren't tick so you'll get outside noises for sure (even if it is from the hallway). It was disappointing that the reservation was supposed to include parking and it turned out to be that you had to pay an extra $15 for parking... Come one you are already spending in the night, parking should be included for no extra charge!!! 🚗 🅿️

Generally a good experience during our stay with decent rooms, had small indoor pool briefly to ourselves. A lack of trash receptacles around facilities. Elevator located in back corner, did not use. Unfortunately had a bit of construction noise in morning building next to hotel. Otherwise, convenient location, close to many markets, malls, other area attractions.

Nice relaxing hotel for the last 30 years. The edition of bar and the wine is an excellent feature at this hotel. Don't even have to go out to get something to eat

Good location and okay rooms. Bit old construction and that shows in rooms. Feels like a 2 decade old when inside the rooms. Also there were few big spiders in the bathroom. Service was good and I would have given 4 stars. However there was this lady on frint desk one of the evening. She was rude and denied me the use of Shuttle even when it was raining and I needed a drop less than.. Quarter mile. Away. She stated that hotel shuttles were only for the staff her behavior and her lying was a 0 star from me. The morning front office staff was very nice, friendly and apologized about the last person's behavior. True 5 star approach there. Also the lady in the morning didnt give me name of the other, being a good coworker. Overall not too thrilled by this stay

I have been a loyal guest at the Courtyard by Marriott for over two decades, visiting every two to three weeks for business, and I can confidently say that this hotel deserves nothing less than a glowing five-star review. Joy and Toni, the extraordinary staff members at this establishment, have consistently gone above and beyond to cater to my every need. Their exceptional attentiveness and warm hospitality have made each of my stays truly memorable. They are the true gems of this hotel. What truly sets this Courtyard by Marriott apart is their unwavering commitment to excellence. The management here maintains a tight ship, ensuring that the entire staff is dedicated to providing top-notch service. The hotel is always well-stocked, and cleanliness is nothing short of impeccable. In an industry where consistency and quality often waver, this Marriott establishment has remained a beacon of reliability for me over the years. If you're looking for a hotel that offers not just comfort but also a staff that treats you like family, then you need to book a stay here. It's not just a place to rest your head; it's an experience you won't find anywhere else. I wholeheartedly urge you to take action and experience the Courtyard by Marriott for yourself. It's a home away from home, and I can't imagine staying anywhere else when I'm in town for business. Thank you, Joy, Toni, and the entire team, for making every visit a true delight!

Claudia, the Lady who’s at the restaurant in the morning, treats you differently if you are a woman or a man that she doesn’t like. I saw how she gave a better service to another client that she was flirting with.. she barely talk to my and my friend and received our order like she didn’t care. But as soon as the other male client called she changed her attitude and was very polite with him.. let’s hope next time she’s that friendly with everyone else. Oh and if she wants a date, she should do it once she’s out of her work.

I stayed here on 5/18. The staff was great and very polite. This appeared to be an older hotel but the lobby had been updated and was nice and on par with your typical Marriott. The rooms were a little outdated but everything was in working order and no outside noises could be heard. My only complaint was the cleanliness. While over all the room was clean it was apparent that the cleaning staff rushed through and missed some minor things. I found a used q-tip on the baseboard in the bathroom and one of the towels had a stain on it. The towel seemed like it was clean but just had a stain that couldn't be washed out. Overall it this is a decent place to stay the night.

The staff that I interacted with were nice. The rooms were good. They show there age a little bit. But in good condition. There is a Starbucks in the main lobby area. And there is a bar that opens 5pm. Overall I had a great stay here.

This hotel is in dire need of a facelift. The rooms have not been renovated in years. Years of buildup of dust in the corners on the carpet. HOWEVER, the staff I interacted here was phenomenal. Christine at the front desk was very accommodating. The first room she put me in had very poor lighting in the bathroom. When I went back to her, she walked me to another room to make sure I was happy with it and offered me a makeup mirror. The young lady that opens the coffee bar in the morning was happy to make me coffee at 6 am even though they had not opened for business for the day. One morning, she was literally coming in with her bags around her arms, I said to her “I will come back, no problem”, she insisted she would make a coffee for me right then. That was the real wow factor for me. I personally would not stay at this hotel again due to the age of the rooms, but the staff was Five star. Thank you.

I've worked for the Marriott and I know they have high standards. The thing that was most annoying was the screen for going to the balcony was almost impossible to open and close. The other issue is, my husband left a thermos/ cup that was given to us from my diceased father. We asked if we could go into the pool area to see if it was there. The girl at the desk could not get a hold of the gentleman that took care of this. We went for available walk and later saw him out front. We asked him if he let us into the pool area to look. He insisted it wasn't there and got into a vehicle and left. He was unpleasant at best. We did find it in our room however, this attitude was extremely unnecessary. The pool was nice, it was cold, but tolerable. We asked at check in about breakfast. She gave us the time for breakfast. I went down and I was told I wasn't in the list and I could not have breakfast. Needless to say, I will stick with another hotel next time we are in that area. In was very disappointed

I booked a daytime room from 4-11pm to stay in while on a cross country road trip. Due to car troubles we got into Chicago way later than anticipated but the hotel staff was SO accommodating. They said it would be okay for us to stay a few extra hours and they even offered to let us stay the night to get rest before we had to start driving again. We also wanted to use the pool before closing and they let us stay a few extra minutes in there past close. They also hooked us up w free ramen. In Particular these are the people who were super helpful and kind during our stay: Sajina, Kendall, Toni, Phil, and Veronica. Thank you guys again for everything.

The hotel is dated and in dire need of an update in the room. For 1-2 nights it’s serviceable, although the bed and pillows are not the best. The real issue is the reception desk. Our check-in was great, the gentleman noted we extended our stay online and made sure to obtain same rooms for two nights. Felt convenient and smooth. If you read the other negative reviews you will see that it is focused around the night time staff. We left our key in our rooms after the pool, we went to the front desk to obtain another key. Only to be berated for not knowing how their system worked. My husband apologized having 2 kids under 3 with us and explained again he didn’t know and was sorry. Christine got very angry at him and said he should know and this was his fault for extending the stay. All he wanted was a key, when I explained to her that it wasn’t helpful to us, she tried to claim in some bizarre way she was helping us take care of our two children? When she hadn’t even looked twice at them. She also claimed she was employee of the month?! a co worker explained she was experiencing some personal issues and we chalked it up to her having a bad day, and I was not going to take this further. What changed my mind was, she went out of her way to cancel all other keys we had a couple of hours after this incident. She threatened our nanny with cancelling her room at 8pm at night when she came back to the hotel. Refused to call another co-worker telling the nanny that no one can help you. English is not her first language so you can imagine her stress. In all - this lady took up hours of txting with a frantic nanny, an afternoon and dinner ruined with us dripping from the pool, and two upset children who didn’t understand why this lady was losing it. We even had to go back downstairs at 9.30pm after dinner because our keys were cancelled into our rooms again. Up until we encountered this lady, we had no issues with our rooms or staff. She clearly was taking some of her issues out on us and frankly it’s not ok in a professional setting no matter what you’re going through. Especially on a family with 2 young kids. I get that everyone has bad days. But this is too much, and completely ruined our stay at this hotel. It took up far too much time for some small administrative issue that we have no control over. I overall felt really upset that she took it out on our completely uninvolved nanny coming home after her day off, and was aggressive and horrible in front of children.

This hotel was great overall. It's in a great location with lots of local restaurants nearby. The staff were accommodating and kind. And the rooms were clean. My only complaint is that the website says the pool is heated, but it wasn't even warm. The pool was still on the cold side, but that didn't stop us from having a good time.

Christine and her front desk staff of Kendall, Barb and Valerie are very friendly and accommodating!! Sometimes, my arrival is after midnight due to travel delays, but I can call them and know that my reservation will be honored. Claudia in the Bistro is always smiling during the morning… friendly staff and a fresh breakfast is a good way to start the day!

I would like to compliment Christine on her wonderful customer service. She was so kind during check in and took care of my families needs. Unfortunately, I had to see her deal with unnecessary controversy from a guest. She handled it with extreme professionalism. I would like to compliment her customer service and the positive way she handled a negative situation. She is an example of a great employee. I hope I get to see Christine at my next stay here! William
