A gem of a place! Delicious huge serving of perfectly battered crunchy and delicious cod and their chips were to die for. The salad was so fresh and everything was so clean and tasty! I only regret not trying their dessert which looked amazing, we were so full! They also have lovely homemade pasties. We tried the Cornish. 5 star for everything including the lovely staff and friendly owner! Will be regulars when in Protara!

Great service, great food. I recommend the cod and chips! Crispy fish batter, juicy fish, melts in the mouth. The tartar sauce is tangy and adds a nice touch. Really authentic fish and chips! Definitely worth a visit.

For me, no Fish & Chip shop could ever warrant a 5 star rating, as the majority for me would never pass a 2 star review, as it is in turn simple cooking & just battered fish with chips. However, Mr. Cod compared to a lot of chip shops I have visited, stands out from the rest. How? The main ingredient; the fish. This is cooked fresh to order. Meaning it is not sat under a heater for a long period of time, which is very important for maintaining the meats quality & its crispy fresh batter. As you can see from my attached images, the fish meat is not flaky & is in sections, just how cod should be presented. It has a nice juicy & creamy flavour & an all round crunch to the batter, which I feel is very important. As for the chips, well they were simply chippy chips... But, for a complete meal & the price you pay, this fish & chip shop would be one I would highly recommend.

We were recommended to go here and it was great. There's free parking spaces and wheel chair access if needed. There's a large food and drinks menu on offer. The fish and chips we had were lovely and tasty and cooked fresh and it was well presented. The staff and owner are friendly and very welcoming In all a very good experience and we would definitely use again when passing

Everything we have eaten at Mr Cod's has been so good. His Cod is amazing and huge. We live in East Yorkshire with fishing towns, yet we cant find cod as nice. The staff are ultra friendly and make you feel very welcome. The premisses is very clean and tidy. A very recommended place to visit if you are looking for Great fish and chips. So I had to comment again you have to try this place its like home from home but cooked fresh while you have a cool beer or pepsi. Plenty of a variety and the fish are massive. We had all inclusive in our hotel but we just can't keep away from Mr Cod We even met George from Cyprus insights there what a fantastic couple. And the friendly staff are fantastic. TRUST ME YOU WILL NOT BE DISAPPOINTED.....YOU MUST TRY.

Mr cod is a cosy little restaurant and oh my word the food is amazing. The people who work here are so friendly and food gets out within 10 minutes. The sausage and chips I got was great and you got a canny portion. This is a great place to go for a relaxing meal.

This has to be the BEST FISH AND CHIPS on the planet, and when you take a large group of British people there, and they agree, than it isnt just a coincidence. Pete and his family are friendly, courteous, and do their best to get the meals served promptly, even during rush times. The Cod is fresh, the batter light and crispy, just how it should be. I usually substitute a salad for the chips, which is fresh, leafy and tasty. The calimari is also bettered to perfection, and it is soft and tender and perfectly prepared. My family and I have been coming here regularly for 4 years and never once have we been disappointed. Every friend we have taken here has also become a regular here when visiting the island. They are extremely child friendly, letting kids taste foods first in case they dont like it. If you are looking for an affordable, tastey and quick delicious bit of seafood, this is the place to go!

If you love your fish and chips, this is the place to come. A good portion of fish, with a crisp batter. The curry sauce had a good strong flavour also.

Unbeatable cod, chips, peas, bread & butter and cup of English tea. The excellent service we received from the lovely young girl was better than anywhere else we went to during the week we were in Protaras and she should be commended for her work ethic and politeness. Highly recommended and we're already planning to go back when we return next year.

Fish n chips was really good and has improved since I was there a few years ago. Pickled onions also available. Many other items on the menu which I surely will try next time. Good service and reasonable prices too.

Just been to Mr Cod Protarus. Cyprus. I HAVE TO SAY IN MY OPINION THESE ARE WITHOUT A SHADOW OF DOUBT THE BEST FISH AND CHIPS IVE HAD IN OVER 30YRS.CRISPY BATTER SUCCULENT COD AND PROPER HOME COOKED CHIPS. This is place u must go and eat while in Cyprus u will not be disappointed.

After a hard days 'work' we decided to treat ourselves to fish and chips. Was lucky enough to have it on the doorstep of the hotel and was the best we have ever had! Thankyou you lovely people. Hope to return again soon!

A review from a person who doesn't eat fish, Mr. Cod indeed stands for his reputation as the best Fish&Chips restaurant in Protaras! My husband insisted I have a bite and I got hooked! Simply delicious, fish&chips and heavenly tartar sauce!

I definitely do not recommend it. The hamburger wasn't real meat. It was something that you can buy in a supermarket on frozen food for small change. ... And the fish fingers on the children's menu were made of minced fish - quality 0

As a person that's not very much into seafood I can highly recommend this place. The Cod was great as well as shrimps and the portion is huge -one fish platter is perfect for two people to enjoy.

Visited today. Can’t fault the place. Owner very friendly, waitresses polite. Cod, chips, peas and English curry sauce all delicious and perfectly cooked. Batter on the fish nice and crispy. Cod itself chunky with big white flakes. Might need another visit….
