No words can do justice for how good this restaurant was. The food was amazing and extremely tasty. We chose traditional dishes but the halloumi was home made and in another level!! It’s was so cheap 3 courses for 39 euro and a beer for 2 people. If you do only do 1 thing in Cyprus, you need to visit here for a meal. It is off the beaten track and a ‘local’ taverna but worth the trip.

Mousikos what a delight! Highly recommend a visit to this restaurant. Best to book a table beforehand as it is quite popular. The service is fast and friendly. The food is out of this world! Authentic home made Cypriot food. Even the peach ice tea I think was homemade, so good. The beef stew was exquisite as were all the other items we tried. The atmosphere outside was so enjoyable. Recommend finishing up with the homemade greek yogurt and honey 🍯 it finishes any meal and is enough for two! So had we found this little gem. In the top 10 restaurants easily in Cyprus.

I've got some trouble to evaluate this place because some of their dishes were a disappointment (grilled mushrooms = 4 grilled champignon mushrooms with nothing just olive oil for 5€) but... they make the best octopus I have ever eaten, also the best musaka (that sponge-bechamel sauce!). The star of the show is the homemade halloumi, which could be easily the best halloumi in the world - seriously! If you find any better, call me immediately! For these masterpieces, I just have to give the maximum rating.

Amazing local cuisine with many local and fresh ingredients. Very authentic atmosphere. Definitely one of the best restaurants on the island. The local halloumi and lamb dish that were part of the mezes were our favorite!

Nice traditional Cypriot restaurant with amazing homemade bread and halloumi. We also liked their beef stifado. The only thing I really disliked was the taramosalata. Price to quality and quantity is very good.

I'm so glad they managed to squeeze my booking in when I called on such short notice! I was really looking forward to visiting this restaurant based on the reviews (trust them completely!!!). This was one of the best restaurants we ate in Cyprus (if not The Best!), service was extremely friendly and we saw a lot of locals there which always leaves a great impression. House wine was amazing and very cheap, food was top-notch, high-quality ingredients - you could taste how fresh everything was. They serve delicious homemade bread as a starter and offer free dessert 💛 I wish we had visited earlier so we could repeat, but we will for sure come back when visiting Cyprus again!

5 stars is really an understatement. One of the best If not the best tavern I have ever been to , in Cyprus. Best grilled halloumi I've eaten, freshly made on the day. Homemade bread, homemade yogurt ! I shouldn't add anything more. Very hospitable. We met with the owner and asked if we could buy some of their halloumi. He gladly gave us two big pieces to take home. Excellent quality , filling and lovely place. Thank you!

Fantastic place with very good tipical food. We have tried meze and it was fantastic with portions so big we could not eat and had to take away :) make sure you do a reservation as it is very busy

Excellent! This is one of my favorite restaurants in Cyprus. If you go in August, you should book weeks in advance. We always order the full meze (and we can just about finish it). This is a constant every time we visit Cyprus now. Even as a vegetarian this very traditional Cypriot Restaurant delivers every time. Food is always great and it feels like you are always welcome here! The saying "eat where locals eat" is true as every night is busy with Cypriots enjoying the best food and drinks.

Very nice traditional restaurant for Cypriot maze! Everything they brought on the table was fresh and tasty! With 22€ per person they will bring many many small dishes with traditional delicacies! Strongly recommended! Just make sure to make a reservation on time!

One of a few most popular meze places to eat outside of the tourist resorts on the eastern side of Cyprus. Food is good and plentiful but the menu is set and it's always the same stuff everytime. Traditionally you would get served whatever was in season which created a few surprises at the table but here you know what to expect. I've been coming here for years & it's not what it used to be which is a shame as it used to be my top place to go to, but I've found that most of the top rated ones have let themselves down over recent years. My main let down here was I found the souvla dishes to be dry and overcooked. Not great as those are a big part of the main dishes. Still a great place to eat and always busy. I hope they up their game a bit more.

What an amazing meal and service we had tonight friendly and always asking if we needed anything. Food was outstanding I had the octopus beautiful my wife and mother in law had the Kleftiko that came in a clay pot there was so much meat , my daughter who is 11 had the homemade spare ribs it was the whole side of a pig 😂😂. Would recommend this place to anyone but you need to book I booked a week in advance as was fully booked all week . Beautiful

We came from Ayia Napa especially for this restaurant. And it was well worth it! The service, the restaurant itself and the food are excellent. We ate a generous Greek salad, a delicious grilled Halloumi and a perfect mousaka. Everything we ordered was super fresh and tasteful. Don't hesitate to come here.

Love this restaurant. Every dish has been perfected. If you want to sample the best of Cypriot cuisine, this is the one place you should go.

Really great atmosphere and friendly staff. The homemade halloumi is unmissable, nothing like the store bought stuff. Great vegetarian versions of classic dishes like moussaka and tabbas. Get out of the tourist traps and go!

Came here with friends as it was highly recommended and was not disappointed, it's the middle of winter and the place was packed the staff and service was fantastic as was the food. I tried the halloumi for starters and it was amazing, after I had the mixed grill which was also amazing not the biggest I've had but the tastiest by far. Would highly recommend this place and can't wait to come back in the summer months with friends and family so we can enjoy the outside garden 😊

Local taverna with great home made food, a refreshing, authentic and different menu from the usual dishes you find in most tavernas, The rabbit stew was perfectly tender and falling off the bone, homemade fresh Halloumi it’s a must , the best Halloumi I ever tasted, Cypriot Ravioli were a good surprise and grilled Asparagus were a great option as a side dish. Mousikos offers quality, seasonality and great hospitality at good value for money. Probably the best taverna in the area. Highly recommended!

I totally would recommend a visit to this authentic local Cypriot taverna. Food delicious, great choices, we had the meat meze for 2 and it was more then enough for 4 people. Great service, attentive staff.

Great tastes of Cyprus - we went for halloumi following other recommendations and is definitely best we’ve ever had. Moussaka is absolutely amazing - feels very homey and comforting with perfect blend of all the ingredients. Meze is a great combo of all the dishes you would probably get if you’d be invited to a proper home made Cypriot meal. This place is a must when visiting Cyprus. Beautiful, authentic restaurant with delicious food, great ambience and nice staff. There was a relaxed mix of tourists and local people and our taxi driver agreed that it’s one of the best restaurants in the area!

Now I know why this place was voted the best taverna in Cyprus for 3 years in a row. Delicious food and their specialty is homemade fresh Haloumi. Everyone should try it, it is awesome! highly recommended. Must have a reservation.
