Was recommended this place from a friend. Best place we’ve eaten all holiday, it’s so good that I purposely went out of my way to write my first Google review for this place. If you leave Cyprus without trying this place you’ll regret it. Octopus was my favourite followed by the shefdalies.

I was fortunate to find this place and went there to eat from ayia napa. It was 100% worth it! Everything was special, from the start to finish. I will come back again to try other dishes. This is the best place in Cyprus! Wherever you are, if you have a chance and are in the area, you just have to stop here to eat!

The mézze experience was phenomenal and the staff is very kind. Our waiter was very helpful and understanding when we weren’t familiar with various plates and made excellent recommendations. We loved it so much we came back twice for dinner. The prices are reasonable and the food is delicious!

First time at this lovely place. Traditional decoration especially inside the taverna. The food was very very good. Star of the food menu for me and a must is the Kleftiko and the Kotsi. Also the dessert the serve was homemade Pitta tis Satzis with Vanilla ice cream... Amazing taste.. Highly recommended

Unique way of ordering your own personal meze! They give you a list of what's on offer (very wide selection) and you pick what you prefer! Genius idea, as you'll eat everything they bring! An absolute gem of a place on this side of Cyprus. Authentic, friendly, and best of all really good food. We loved it so much we went back twice during our short stay on the island. Yiota and the rest of the team were amazing, with their recommendations and their service.

This is the best taverna I have ever been to, and I've visited a few. From the start staff couldn't do enough for us. We had a table away from other diners as we had a 3 year old with us, we requested this, and the staff were so attentive. We had the hot meze, and it did not let us down. There was so much choice and such good quality local food, the mosakka was the best I have ever had. I also had the octopus beer, which is from a microbrewery in the town. I wish I could get this beer in England. It was so nice I even proposed 😉

An award winning restaurant for all the right reasons. Beautiful, authentic, cypriot restaurant with delicious food and outstanding service. If you are in the area give this place a try, you won’t regret it. A must visit if you are into meze.

Lovely restaurant. Very busy so have to book a table, service really good and staff very helpful and friendly. We had a meze, but what's really good at Old Simos is that you choose what dishes you have, so you don't get anything that you don't want or like. And you can order as much or as little as you like. Great idea, don't know why every restaurant doesn't do this. My only criticism is that our table was outside and practically on the road, which wasn't too great. Otherwise, would definitely recommend this restaurant.

Fantastic place - no 'menu' as such. They asked if we wanted Meze and then the owner came and gave us lots of options that we said yes or no too. The food was incredible and we could not finish it all! A great experience. Definitely worth booking as it was very busy!

One of the best tavernas we have ever visited. Delicious food, well prepared, Friendly staff. The only thing that disappointed us was the pork souvlaki which wasn’t as expected. It was too fatty and therefore we regretfully did not enjoy it

I have visited this location and reported on it on numerous occasions. This is a rustic village taverna. The food is very good and well priced. It is always a good sign when the locals are also regulars in the restaurant. Well worth a visit but you have to book

This is a fantastic family run taverna. Orthentic Cypriot dishes, with specials of the day available. We went on a Tuesday night in September and was surprised that we were told its fully booked and is normally every night. They thankfully squeezed us in between bookings. Staff brilliant and food superb.

Cozy place, generous portions and - in relation with other restaurants - good prices. Would strongly recommend moussaka! Sit inside and not by the road which could be very noisy.

Average kleftiko

Here is the best Greek "meze" experience, where you order lots of small things, brought on the table to share between everybody. It is important to note, that it in no way affects quality. Each and every dish is incredibly tasty and definitely worth the money. If you're in the area, you have to visit.

after so much waiting and trying to be able to eat here i really expected better, much better. good food yes, but nothing exceptional. maybe it was the wrong day... I don't know.

Always great food and service at one of the best restaurants in the area. Young Simos is always good with the spoken menu. 😉 Would visit this restaurant every week but can't get a reservation that easily. Normally a 2 week wait.... If you're lucky.

Superb traditional Cypriot food. Great surroundings. Really friendly and welcoming family run place. Also ridiculously cheap (€30 for food and drink for two people and we were so full at end and had to take food away with us). Try the meze rather than menu and you’ll get to try lots of different foods.

Very friendly restaurant. Food was good but not exceptional. Reasonable prices. Meze was awkward to order, very good portions, you don't need lots of plates, which is what I tried to ask the waiter. Think it would be easier if the options were written down. They were very kind to us, if I could give 4.5 that would be fair.

Amazing food, amazing place, amazing people! Definitely a must when you hop by east Cyprus. Everything was perfect and super tasty, everyone was very nice and friendly. I’d definitely come back multiple times.
