Very nice seafood and friendly staff. The price is also quite good with the food quality. Will definitely visit this restaurant again when I visit Cyprus next time.

Very prime location in Protaras vibrant street, always busy at night... fish and meat meze and a variety of other dishes. Good choice for groups Toilets were clean WIFI Staff some of them were extremely friendly. Others aren't willing to take orders. Food portions of fish meze is relatively small... if you are a group of 3 pax order 2 portion and add some other side dishes. Dessert is not included within meze.

this was one of the best experiences in Cyprus! Very nice staff, free appetizer and dessert, they even gave me a dessert wine to taste! The fried small prawns are so good! would definitely recommend and can't wait to be back!

Authentic Cypriot food , and probably the only real tavern in Protaras. The dishes were big and delicious , we were very happy to try the local dishes like afelia and moussaka. They make their own homemade bread, very nice. Yum! Go to the back of the restaurant to have sea view :)

Make sure you book this place they are normally full, well worth the wait. One of the best Taverner in the area, family run by 3 genarations of the same family from Grandparents to there children and now the grandchildren. I'm sure they have made it there own. The decor is modern and the food is very good. The service is the best I've had so far on the Island and you will not regret eating here. Well done to everyone at Vangelis. P.S I wish I had taken better photos but I just couldn't wait to eat what was in front of me. I had the Meze of Vangelis.

The best restaurant in protaras area. They have authentic lamb dish which is a must try❤️ and highly recommended💯 Ambience and the food both were good. The staff was so kind and explained the menu and recommended good options👍

We have order the traditional dishes set and it was absolutely fabolous. Size of the dishes are enough to get full and than some, you are also greeted by outstanding bread and garlic butter. The restaurant has a long tradition (est. 1948) and you can feel the hospitality that comes with the history.

Very fresh, tasty food. Kids friendly. Highly recommended for everyone. Fish soup is amazing , cheacken kebab , kids menu -all fresh and super delicious. They are fast in service, offer nice bread for starter for free. All portions are quite big. Staff is client oriented.

I've eaten here a few times and it's my favourite place to come when in Protaras. Great quality, traditional taverna food. The staff are super lovely and very accommodating.

The food was delicious and priced reasonably. The pork chop was nice and juicy and the halloumi for starter was great! However, service was a little slow to begin with as it was busy but, was still able to order and receive the food on time. The staff were lovely.

good things: very friendly & helpful waiter/owner, nice local wine, not too cost intensive, nice slow cooked lamb. not so good: portions are waaaaaaayyyyy too big. no way you can eat that yourself alone. we had a starter, couldn‘t barely finish that one, and received each a gigantic platter with vegetables and ordered meat. the chicken was as dry as the sahara desert, couldn‘t eat that.

Very good food and very large portions (something usual for Cypriots), friendly staff. We received an aperitif from the house, as well as a dessert on departure.

Very good place for some traditional cuisine. According to the menu the restaurant have been in the family for some generations. A wide selection of classic Cypriotic food, friendly staff, fast service and affordable prices. We have tried some smaller dishes and the moussaka (booth vegetarian and original). Everything tasted great. A big plus for the big tasty bread received while waiting for the food! To drink we tried the local wine in carafe. A good meal wine for a good price.

They offer a special home made bread this som verry tasty olive, some butter ant paste d olive... The food was excellent. We’ve dined here many times and it’s never disappointed. The staff is always friendly, the food is scrumptious, and the portions are generous and affordable. That being said, the service was quite slow but this was justifiable given how busy it was.

Food was good, but unfortunately we were charged twice for food.

Good food, the souvlaki was a bit dry and the halloumi balls was quite frozen in the middle. Friendly staff but had to wait almost 15-20 minutes to get an attention from the waiters to ask for the bill.

Wonderful! Excellent food and friendly attentive staff with a warm sense of humour. They observe the covid regulations properly, which is something I find important in these times. We have eaten there twice and will go again before we leave for home. Grilled sardines were fresh and tasty, beef stifado was full of flavour and beef was so tender it melted in the mouth.

State of art! The best and probably the only taverna that can fullfill all demands! If you are around, don't miss it!

Vangelis was indeed a true Cyprus meze experience. The variety and quality really amazed us. Also each dish was explained by the staff serving us. Well located and friendly staff. Here you get the real culinary overview of what Cyprus offers you. Good wines and drinks are available. Really recommend this place
