Set in the quiet village of St Julien, this is a most-visit for any traveller to Mauritius. Great vanilla and organic fruits as well as a well stocked souvenir shop, all at very affordable prices. You come in as a customer, leave as a friend!

Very nice, quiet and pleasant place. You will see the greenhouses, smell the fresh herbs and spices, you will see the growth of vanilla and then you can buy home-made products in a very pleasant shop in a package suitable for transporting home.

We dropped by this place during a roadtrip. They let us visit the vanilla plantation and go around the shop. You can find Mauritian spices and souvenirs in the shop.

It was a fabulous experience. The salesgirl made us visit the greenhouse and explained everything about how they grow vanilla. She showed us a lot of other plants too, ginger, lemons, caripoulet, chouchous and made us smell the leaves. The shop too is packed with spices, vanilla, clothes, souvenirs ...

This pant nursery hardly appears on the lists of 'Mauritius highlights'. Completely unjustified! This place is more than worth a visit for lovers of plants and edible flowers. Although small-scale, but very diverse. Explanations are enthusiastically given to those who wish. There is a shop where home-produced fruits, jams, spices, etc. can be bought. A small tasting is also possible. But nothing is forced! A very pleasant surprise for anyone interested in the 'production' of spices and vanilla!

We loved our tour of this local families vanilla farm. If you're in the area, book a tour with them. It included an excellent explanation and hands on experience of how vanilla is grown and processed, plus many other local foods that they grow. It also includes relaxing in a beautiful garden setting while getting to try many of their special homemade preserves and fruits. They're a small family run business, doing everything themselves. Absolutely lovely, recommended it, we learnt heaps, and bought some treats home with us from their shop.

Great shop with souvenirs and local vanilla products. Very nice and kind people and there is also possible to go through the production garden, greenhouses and taste tropical fruits, sugar cane and other plants and fruit products. Very interesting place to visit. Thank you!

This place was very good. It's more than just a vanilla plantation, they grow all sorts of fruits, vegetables and spices which they tell you all about when taking you through the plantation. They also take you to the kitchen area at the back where you can sample all the jams, sugar cane juice and fruits. And the visit is entirely free of charge! They will make their money from you from their items for sale in the shop tho but it's not compulsory to purchase anything

Really really enjoyed our visit. The tour was so interesting and interactive and the pride in the place was evident. The tour made us want to buy everything they produce! Everyone was very warm and helpful and the shop had plenty of nice items. I would fully recommend a visit.

Great plantation. A nice guide showed us all the different plants they were growing there and explained the highly complex process of harvesting vanilla. Would recommend

An aquaponic garden growing bio vegetables: tomatoes, cherry tomatoes, lettuce (iceberg variety as well), herbs and of course vanilla, aplenty. Worth a visit.
