I am glad they didn’t destroy it after the war because it was very educational and I feel like everyone should visit and learn about the horrors of the past just so that they won’t be repeated. It’s a bit hard to process from the outside - at least for me it was. It was a beautiful sunny day when I went and like I knew where I was but it didn’t fully kick in until we went inside the blocks - that’s where you can really get a feel of the place. I feel like the pictures on the walls in one of the blocks is what broke me the most (more than the hair or the offspring shoes etc) - some of the people clearly had hope in their eyes. And it was heartbreaking to see such hopeful beautiful people portrayed considering what they had to go through.

Can’t describe how saddening it is but a must to visit to learn and see how people were treated during this time. It is extremely well kept and the guides are really knowledgable. You can buy guidebooks yourself and wander around take it in in your own pace or follow a guide and tour around. Honestly it feels weird to give it 5 stars but it is something I will never forget and I hope that we learn from this tragic place.

It's surprisingly more people don't visit this outdoor museum of military craft. It is right next to the national museum and it is free. Definitely worth a walk through to see tanks, missile launchers, planes and helicopters.

Excellent place for aviation fanatics and photographs. It includes a large collection of old, Soviet era, planes and helicopters. You can observe from close distance legendary Jersey like Mig29 and Mig21. It is free for some time and it wasn't overcrowded on a Fridays afternoon. For sure it worth a visit even if you are not a huge fan of army museums.

Everyone that comes to Poland should visit this place. It's the most important historical event in recent European history. Easy accessible by own car or public? Busses from Krakow. Parking was 18 Zloty, 4 euro. Tickets have to be bought online before the visit. I would advise to pay for a guide to get extra information.

The indoor exhibiton is closed, but there's a lot to see outside. Everything from planes, millitary helicopters and tanks. Perfect for people who love historic millitary vehicles and weapons. It is also free entrance to the outdoor exhibition.

The staff were pretty harsh, the food wasn't very good overall and very limited. 1/10 will not be going again. Room service was the worst part of the whole experience. The best part was probably the free communal showers.

This is the free outdoor exhibit right next to the Polish Army Museum. If you are into WW2 or Cold War era tanks and planes, this is the place to go to in Warsaw! I also highly recommend checking out the museum too, but if you just want to look at planes, tanks and artillery pieces for free outside, you can do that. The planes range from WW2 propeller planes to soviet era jet fighters and more! Just make sure to check what time the gates close before you come here so you don't come too late! I'll attach a few of my photos of the tanks and planes :)

(Translated by Google) An important place because of the sheer amount of suffering that happened in this place. Well-preserved and restored objects full of "memorabilia" of those events. It is undoubtedly a moving place and at the same time full of reflection. The guide who showed us was very knowledgeable because he told everything in detail. Take a few hours to see everything. The downside is quite expensive parking.

This museum allows its visitors to see an outstanding collection of military objects of years of Polish military history starting from the middle ages and finishing to WWII and the Cold War. The museum also includes an outdoor section displaying different military machinery. However, some of it is not in its best condition and requires some restoration work. Overall, highly recommended for people interested in the military history. Some days, the admission is free, but you have to check on their website for the days.

Hot on the heels of the National Museum, I quickly ventured into the war Museum, a stones throw away...… Immediately noticeable is that on display outside, and free to wander around, is a very decent collection of all sorts of armory and weaponry of tanks, rockets, bombs, jets and planes, a good collection of the beauty of war! Good to walk around and take a selfie. I pretended I was in Ukraine, and some actually believed me! To go into the museum itself, it costs 20 Zloty (4 Euros), a very reasonable price. The museum is very well spaced out and you head in one main direction and end of on a good tour of various campaigns that Poland was involved in, from the Warsaw uprising, the WW2 campaigns (In the UK as well-Polish air bombers), the fights with old foes like Russia (and Ukraine, which was surprising to me), ….and a general overview of the style of the uniforms and weapons of those times.... its quite extensive and very informative, with descriptions in Polish, obviously, and in English. It was a long walk around, over an hour or more, and it was very good. The only negative I might have is that there could be some interactive side to the museum, something more hands on - try on some similar styled war time uniforms, or hold some replica weapons, etc. Overall, well worth a look, if for nothing else to see and learn about some of Poland's long war time history.

To be honest? Not enough vehicles, and not all of them are in good shape. Also, there's not much to see from the inside. A Russian cargoplane and the 'Kubuś' armoured car. I would be happy to see more.

Outside area is for free and there is no wait time to enter. Inside is for around 1-2h if quick visiting but exhibit doesn’t change for years now. Can make fun photos with army equipment. There is no army at this place or police. Also all of the benches where taken and people where sitting in them I think people mostly come here to sit on benches. To sit on it there is no fee like in other places so you can sit for free and look at the military stuff around.

I remeber this place from well over 20 yrs ago, but only managed to visit free of charge outdoor exhibition this time, which was interesting, but not well maintained. Exhibits could use refreshing and information plates where not well designed or clear. Nevertheless, museum looks interesting and will definitely visit when they move over to the new location as I have big expectations about quality and scope. Review to be updated.

Crazy Museum full of stuff. I came from Italy to visit and the tanks outside were awesome, the artillery prices as well. I wish there were more tanks, like, the most modern is the t55 but I would have liked to see the later models. Inside it's very well structured and informative, very interesting the part about polish resistance.

This is the best museum I had the chance of visiting in Warsaw, definitely worth the time spent in it. A huge collection of uniforms, weapons and even vehicles spanning from the earliest to the modern era of war. The only thing this place misses is English translations on some of the props, hopefully they will make the whole collection bilingual soon.

A must see bucket list destination. Just coming here it has an almost eerie feel to it. Very glad I came, and made time. The Auschwitz camp is a lot less walking than the Birkenau camp, but bring walking shoes if you're planning on doing both. Start at the South East Auschwitz 1 camp, you need tickets here first (it's free if you bring an id, my passport got me in free) but you cannot get into the Birkenau camp without the ticket. Plan for well over an hour and a half if you plan on getting through everything, and last thing, there's a free shuttle that goes between the 2 camps, and it starts getting dark here close to 4pm. Hope this helps!

Great place to spend a morning or afternoon, particularly if you have children. Huge display of military equipment outside (free to wander around) including tanks, missile systems, planes and helicopters. Inside detailed galleries show the rather large number of wars Poland has been involved in. The second world war gallery is particularly impressive.

A nice museum to visit. It would have been better if visitors could have climbed on or in some of the vehicles. Clearly some of them were being left to rust. I would still recommend the museum. My son was particularly interested in some of the artillery pieces as they bore a resemblance to items in his tablet games.

I really wanted to see this in order to compare it to the one in Sofia that's on the same theme. The free outside exhibition is not as good as Sofia in terms of displays as it's rather small, but the curation in English and Polish people is very detailed. Didn't visit the inside as it was near closing time but I assume it's quite big with a lot of exhibits judging by the size of the building

Amazing museum with helpful and passionate staff which is a must visit if you're interested in the rich history of the Polish military. I look forward to the new museum once it's completed. I enjoyed seeing the displays of the historical events I've read about and the story's behind them especially the moving picture of the Battle of Lwow which portrays the war from a different POV than what you're used to in these types of works.

Not a bad museum. It would be nice to have narratives with the artifacts inside, what they were used for or the story behind them. This is more around the WW2 exhibit. Not sure if the staff were bored but in each room you are closely watched, walking in the vicinity. Not sure if they have a theft problem? You also have to leave your jacket at reception. Nice mix of tanks and aircraft in the outdoor display.

The museum is located in near the National Museum. You will see several planes, helicopters and tanks when you enter the gardenand you don't need ticket for it. Ticket is REGULAR 20/ REDUCED 10 PLN, and worth it. There was no queue. You can store your backpack in the entry. Museum has three floors and it took 1-1, 5 hours approximately for me.

Large selection of very old, and a little more modern planes, tanks, and artillery pieces. The area outside is open even while the museum building is closed, so even when you make it there on Tuesday, you can walk around and check out the park-like area around the museum.

The place was interesting especially the older stuff at the start. English boards so no need to hold onto your translator. You walk the Museum in a certain direction, which was first confusing as Polish women would be talking to us in Polish and pointing to go one way, but we finally got it. Tickets were rather cheap and easy to get right at the entrance, there was one family before us. You leave your big bags right by the ticket office in these cabinets. At least my backbag fit in there easily. Also the storage of bags was free.

Farewell to a Fashionable Era 🛡️ The 16th century brought us one of Europe's most stylish and flamboyant cavalries, the "Winged hussars" - the elite of Polish Cavalry. The Polish Military Museum houses incredible full sets attributed to these eastern knights. The old museum is closing its doors for now but reopening soon in a new location.

ATTENTION TO TOURISTS!! Waste of time and money. According to the homepage and google maps the museum is open. There were also a ton of people inside the museum. However due to the racist person at the entrance we were not allowed to enter. Just because we don't speak polish and he wasn't able to speak a word in English he denied to sell us tickets. When I asked him why we can't enter when there obviously are visitors inside he waved us away. Really bad to hire people at a touristic place that can't speak a single word English and are racist. Parking had to be payed in advance so I lost that money. Very very bad management. If you are a tourist don't go there!

We planned for National Museum of Warsaw but it was closed as it was a holiday, so visited this adjacent museum. The entrance was open and was for free of charge for outdoor objects. This museum is one of the largest collections of military objects in Poland, spanning from 10th century until WWII. The open area consists of many armoured vehicles, artillery pieces and aircraft, mostly from the WWII era, with English explanation boards. You might find it interesting if you're into airplanes, helicopters and stuff like that. Have fun!
