I was out touring around Warsaw and wanted a nice hot lunch that was comforting and not too pricey. I found this place and it had a very extensive menu. I tried the guru biryani with chicken and I was quite impressed with the flavour and quality. Given the other number of guests that arrived I must say this place has a nice business going on and the food appears to be quite good.

In my opinion the best indian restaurant in Warsaw. Food is always on point. I heavily recommend the Saffron Rice witb any dish, especially Beef Rogan Josh or Xacutti. Overall a great dining experience 9.5/10 would visit again!

Really tasty Indian food 🥘 we had chicken korma and chicken tikka masala, some soup, samosas, naan 🫓 and all was delicious 🤤 the interior is very nice, rather European restaurant type not what you would typically expect from an Indian place necessarily, we did appreciate that. And tables are separated with some transparent room dividers what allows you to get some privacy. Really good place, I intend on coming back 😊

Chose Guru because it was nr. 1 on Trip Advisor. Indian is my favorite cuisine. Been to countless restaurants. The bar is high. This was hands down the best I've had. Incredible taste and portion sizes at great prices. You get loads of rice and nan bread. The meny does a great job at explaining the cultural background for each meal. Don't think twice about choosing this place when looking for Indian in Warsaw.

Average taste. Hospitality is poor. The foods are not authentic indian recipes, and more oily and very salty. The drinks and wine are tasty. Only food photos are getting tempt. Not recommendable of you want to taste the real indian food

Tip: If you want to leave a tip, take some cash - they said it's impossible to leave a tip when you pay by card. That was our second time at this place and both times we loved the food. There are still some things we would like to try, so we will definitely come back. In other Indian restaurants the choice seemed a little smaller in comparison, and I haven't seen the dosa anywhere else. If sb likes butter chicken here it's under the name "Makhni", and it's delicious. I do prefer the vegetable samosa, but the lamb one was also tasty. The mango lassi is one of the best I've ever drunk. If you don't like spicy food then be careful because even one "red chilli" is already fairly spicy. There are some outdoor seats, which are great in summer, but the interior of the place is too nice to not sit inside at least once. The tables are separated with a plastic wall (probably they were added during Covid). If you reserve a table online, remember that even though it tells you that you have 2 hours to eat, they do want to close at 10 p.m., so I think it's a better idea to come there before 9 p.m. (the first time we didn't know that and you could feel the staff being slightly annoyed with us. But the second time, they were very friendly and helpful.)

####Raj dla kuchni indyjskiej w Warszawie, trzeba spróbować #### We happened to be in Warsaw for some personal work, and decided to have our lunch at Guru Restauracja just because it was closest to the Warsaw Centralna Railway Station. The interior of the restaurant is very aesthetic, paying special attention to the diners privacy. The ambience was pleasant and soothing with peaceful music. We ordered : 1. Vegetable Samosa: (Mashed potatoes spiced mildly with Indian spices and peas, stuffed in a flour dough, folded into a triangle shape and deep fried.) I have been in Europe for few years now, I have never liked samosas in any Indian restaurant. But, to my surprise these samosas at Guru were amazing. It was served with a mango and a sweet tamarind chutney. The spices in the filling was balanced and the crust was really crispy. We liked it so much so that we had to order another plate after main course, just to satisfy our souls. 2. Mutton Bhuna: (Boneless pieces of mutton roasted on a skillet with onions, garlic, ginger and a blend of exotic Indian spices) We were ordering a different dish but this was the owner's recommendation. This particular dish had a very distinctive flavour, just the way you would find it in India. If you are craving for an authentic Indian cuisine, this is the best option for you. This definitely tops my list of most delicious Indian cuisine tasted in Europe. 3. Mutton Rara: (Mutton Rara is a keema-based mutton curry, which means that in the same curry you would find the goodness of both, the keema and the succulent mutton pieces) The taste of this dish was very different from the previous dish. Taste was really good and the use of spices were in a way that the dish does not loose its identity and still fit the spice level of a European. 4. Butter garlic Naan: (Indian flat bread baked in deep clay ovens) The garlic naan was delicious and was huge. Like one would be sufficient for an average person. The food was so delicious and mouthwatering that we forgot to take pictures, when served. Being an Indian, I wanted the spice levels to be higher on all dishes I ordered. To my surprise, I found out that they use green chillies to spice up all dishes they prepare. Green chillies adds a different flavor to the food and are less harsh on your stomach. The portion per serving was huge. You would usually count the pieces per serving, but in Guru, I was overwhelmed. We had extra curry and meat left, after finishing up our Naan, which is never the case in any other Indian restaurants in Europe. I returned back to this restaurant within 3 weeks, to order Mutton Bhuna and Samosa. 😋😛 Thank you Guru for serving Amazing Indian food in Poland. Dziękuję Guru za serwowanie niesamowitego indyjskiego jedzenia w Polsce. I highly recommend this place..!!

Really good food but not amazing. The mint and coriander chutney has almost no taste of mint or coriander, I wonder where the intense green color comes from. Rogan Josh was really tasty but barely had any spice to it... Which was surprising since it was labeled with 2 chilli peppers 🌶️🌶️. Also the lamb was a bit chewy and normally you would expect it for it to melt in your mouth which unfortunately wasn't. Chicken korma was delicious, nice and creamy. This place has good potential, I wish they could slightly improve.

We have recently been to Guru Restaurant in Centrum and i would rate it as one of the best Indian Restaurants in Warsaw. The quality, taste and quantity of the food is worth try. We have tried their Hyderabadi biryani, Paneer tikka masala and few other vegetarian dishes and the taste was just awesome. Its our go to place whenever we crave for a good Indian lunch/dinner. Worth try!! :)

Ordered Chicken Tikka Masala , Naan , Hyderabadi Biryani . Everything was delicious and chicken was perfectly cooked in all the dishes. We were amazed by the super quick service, while we waited for our orders we were provided with poppadoms along with nice mint and tamrind sauce. The person at the counter was very humble and polite. Highly recommend this place for good Indian food .

Everything was super delicious, smelled good and looked amazing! Definitely recommended. We had Guru Biryani, which was a bit oily but tasted amazing which various spices. Bambara Kebab was also delicious. But the most delicious dish was Ularthiyathu. They also brought free starter. We had Chai Masala afterwards which was great.

One of my favourite places to grab a fast lunch during the week. They offer very good lunch menu packages, which combined with the friendly service and great taste of the dishes make an optimal 5 out of 5.

Had prawns biryani and fish tikka. Got a good number of large prawns, the rice had cashews and was rich. Portion size was huge, enough for two people if you order more dishes. One of best prawns biryani I've ever had (Including India 🇮🇳 ).

Not going to lie, this restaurant has better Indian food than I’ve had anywhere in America. I was seriously impressed by all the dishes and the knowledgable staff. This place is also pet friendly which was awesome. You really can’t go wrong with what you order here.

The food is okay. We ordered Bhuna Duck and duck jalfareji and masala dosa and mango lassi. Among those Bhuna duck was quite good, but all the others were mediocre. The place is located at the centrum. The service is also good.

Service was great. The food is kinda boring. Not as quality as in another Indian restaurants I have tried. Overall it is good and cheap place to eat indian food for someone who do not expect the highest quality. Big plus because they let us to bring the dog! Service was fast and very polite.

I was looking for the hottest curry in Warsaw and the chicken Phaal did not disappoint at all, it really burns but does not lose the fruitiness of the chilli and turns chemical! There was a little misunderstanding about the ordered food but it was generously and quickly solved. Very nice experience.

Really nice restaurant. We really enjoyed our food, I really recommend the chicken korma, it was delicious. The dal was also really good, and we loved the lemonade even though the price wasn't present on the menu and was more expensive than we expected.

Our group, consisting both Indian food veterans and novices alike, loved the experience. Good service and food recommendations. Can't comment on the price level as this was literally the only restaurant in Poland we visited.

The food is absolutely fantastic. Full of flavour, vibrant, cooked and presented with care. I have eaten both restaurant and traditional home made Indian food and this one is up there with the best. Five stars, well deserved. Will be coming back when I'm back in Warsaw. Cheers

Really nice food and good service. Nicely located in a quiet street in city centre. Good atmosphere. The food was impeccable, only ordered a few dishes but we couldn't even finish them. Polish portions, you know. Definitely have an Indian dinner there when you are in Warsaw. Guaranteed success with your guests!

We were staying in Warszaw for 2 days and ended up having late lunch/dinner both of the days because we wanted to taste as much of the menu as possible. The food was awesome, fragrant and reasonbly spicy. everything tasted as advertised in the menu. The service was beyond reproach. It will be definately a place to come back next time i'm in town.

Food is very good. Ambience is nice. The main guy in the staff is the epitome of customer care. Menu quite different and diverse from usual menu seen in other Indian restaurants seen across Europe. Good work, keep it up👍

One of the best Indian restaurants in the city center of Warsaw, Poland. The food is good, the Hyderabad Briyani is good with a lot of spices with every mouth! The waiter who served us was an awesome, cheerful person. If I remember his name correctly is David and he's from New York.

I have traveled to India few times, recently started living in Warsaw. Being an Indian food lover, asked Indian friends where I can eat good vegan Indian food, I was told to try Guru. Having eaten, I can say that they have one of the best food I have tasted. The soya bhuna was delicious served with rotis, I will highly recommend Vegan Food lovers to visit this lovely restaurant.

EXCELLENT AUTHENTIC INDIAN FOOD! Visited this highly recommended restaurant yesterday, I was told by my colleague travelling frequently to Warsaw that if ever I start missing Indian food to go to this restaurant. I tried Lamb Balti, Hyderabadi Biryani which was delicious. They also have a good choice of wines. The food was tasteful, great service and ambiance.

The food was awesome as always. I like the quality and quantity of spices used to make any of the dish excellently flavourful and delicious. I can say this is the place where your taste buds will get a wonderful blast of flavours coming out of any dish you order. If Guru is naming themselves an authentic Indian restaurant, Yes, that's a correct statement and truth to Indian delicacy, this is actually Indian taste. I almost tried all of their menu items and every time I found it delicious and tasty then before. This should be never miss place in Warsaw if you wanna try Indian authentic cuisine. I recommend to try it out without miss, share your opinion. I assure you will never regret.😀
