Place is crowded for outside sitting. They serve the best dumplings. Sweet dumplings or savoury ones. We had Sangria and it was made really good. Loved the Salmon and Camembert cheese dumpling. So it's definitely recommended! They have a few outlets of the restaurant around the city. So if you go to one and it's crowded, just walk a few minutes down there will be another one... Been here twice, so dumpling is definitely delicious!

A very cozy restaurant of traditional Polish cuisine. Pleasant service, nice interior. The choice of dishes on the menu is not very large, but it’s enough to try the main local delicacies. I recommend trying “pierogi" and definitely fried ones.

Great restaurant in the heart of Warsaw. Of course, the main dish is dumplings! We took several types and they were all very tasty! I recommend this place.

We stopped by for a quick bite, wanted to get some żurek soup 😊 the soup was decent yet not the best Żurek. The service was chaotic, was not clear what we should do, where to take a seat. Place was overcrowded. Price and quality performance is quite good tho, the place has very affordable pricing.

One of the most popular Polish chain of restaurants with local food. Heard lots of positive comments and decided to try) portions are really huge, so be careful before making the order you have a chance to overeat))I recommend to try potato with mushroom sauce.

They only get 4 stars because I have waited 15 minutes just to get the menu, and 25 minutes to get the bill. Nevertheless server ladies were all kind and helpful, just seemed rookie. On the other hand the pierogi mix was absolutely delicious especially with the "cold cheese sauce". Furthermore in spite of the good location prices are fine. All in all I am recommending this restaurant :)

We went to this place cos we wanted to eat Polish traditional food and some people recommended me this place. It was really tasty, especially bigos and placek z sosem pieczarkowa-śmietanowym. But the food is a little bit salty for me. We were on Tuesday at 4pm and there were some free tables. Dishes are served quickly and staff is pretty.

We stayed in Poland for 4 days... and all of them we have lunch or dinner in this place!! The food was delicious, hot to help you with the cold weather... there is a big menu to choose, in Poland and English... The staff, specially Victoria , even been her first day working there she helped us to decide our food and gave recommendations. Definitely I will return to this restaurant

Well, well - as popular as it is, especially for tourists if someone really knows Polish food Zapiecek version of it is rather average. Mulled beer filled with syrup and stuffed with fruits to the point there is little space for beer in a super small glass for 25pln. Pork ribs were so salty! They use cured pork (preserved with salt and low temp. cooking) for their dish, it makes the meat pink after cooking and overly salty. With salty gravy it becomes a sodium killer. Pierogi are nicely served, but the potato-cheese stuffing is low quality and ugly mashed together. Croquettes with meat were the most okay but you could smell a fridge from dips served together (means they are kept open in the fridge). Zapiecek fits a tourist trap definition and it became poor fastfood destination. Covid-19 restrictions not followed!

Amazing Polish cuisines restaurant. Has a huge indoor and outdoor seating area. The place can get very busy during peak hours, so maybe a bit of wait! The traditional Polish steamed Dim sums were amazing. You can choose a fixed set or choose your own mix of fillings, including Vegetarian fillings. There was also a few really regularly served Polish cuisines dishes we didn’t try. The drink spread was good and cheap. Overlooking the busy around old town area pedestrian street, it’s a real good restaurant! Recommend…!

This place has such delicious food! Highly recommend to try the fried pirogy and the apple sauce pie. We went here in December and the queue was so long, it took as around 1hr to get inside. Kinda difficult to stand in the cold weather but totally worth it in the end. Would rather suggest for the staff to maybe serve hot tea for the people waiting in the queue, that might ease the torture of the cold weather. The service is fast, the place is quite cosy and it has a nice history. I love the bookshelves which are around the restaurant.

Fantastic food and excellent service (thank you to our server, Andżelika for an exceptional evening and attentive service)! I had the Beetroot soup (barszcz z uszkami) with dumplings followed by a mixed selection of Pierogi (mix pierogów): they were all great!!! The rest of our group had Ham Knuckle (Golonka), sour soup with sausage (żurek z kiełbasą i jajkiem). The Ginger tea (herbata zimimowa z imbirem) was really good. I'm definitely coming back the next time I'm in Warsaw!

Our waitress was so sweet. She shared with us a cute story and seemed happy to be serving us. She gave helpful suggestions on what to order and the food was made quickly. Every food or drink we tried was delicious. Our table or the compote, pork shoulder, sweet pierogi, and sausage. Yummmmm

There was a long queue but definitely worth the wait. The hostess was so kind and was determined to sit all of us as quickly as she could. The food and service was great. I was super happy that they open until late in the evening.

This place was really nice. They had indoor and outdoor dining. There was live music. It was very clean inside too. The service was very nice and they had a wonderful variety of Polish food. I was taken here by local people for dinner so I can assure travelers that it will be a very authentic meal. Definitely give it a try. The pierogies were amazing and I loved the borscht.

This review is also to apologize with the manager. I ordered a vegetarian croquettes but because of the smoked cheese I thought there was meat inside and I've refused to eat. The manager didn't let me pay even though she was right. Apart of it the other things I've eaten were very good and service was fast and professional. A place I'd recommend 100%. ☺️

A good option to try polish cusine. Staff was informative and helpful. Food was really good. The vodka tasting was great. Reasonable prices. One of the waiters was clearly not happy to give any information about the plate.

Lovely place, even though it's a chain, it gets really busy on weekends, including Fridays. Queues out the door in 2 different branches all the way until closing. Some of the best pierogis we bad during our visit to Warsaw. Good service, great food, quite big hearty portions too. Does the job!

We went to try Poland's traditional dish, pierogi. The food was delicious, we had Tyskie, one of Poland's most popular beers, and the ambiance, specially decorated for Christmas, was very pleasant in the restaurant. While some staff members were attentive, others, for reasons we couldn't understand, were rude.

Overall I was a little disappointed by Zapiecek. It was recommended that I try this place, but it ended up being sort of a “tourist trap”. I guess I should have listened to my gut when I saw the dancing Pierogie out front. If you had a long day from touring and need a place to eat, there is nothing wrong with eating here, but the food is just ok. There are far better and more authentic restaurants nearby though.

Cozy ambience with lots of vintage books. Proper local food. Fast quality service. PS The waitress' dresses are a bit "late 90s". Suggest to switch to something less sexist.

Atmosphere like at home. Really cozy and a lot of people. We wanted dumplings and they were delicious. We should have taken smaller portions, because they really filled us up. The compot was soo delicious. Like a dessert itself.

Really tasty food and cozy place. Staff are nice, English menu is available, food is fresh made, bathroom is clean! My personal favorite dish is golasy, gnocchi-like potato dumplings with bacon and cottage cheese. Highly recommend!

Amazing food and many options. We tried the fried periogi and they were super tasty. We also loved the sweet pierogi. The staff was very nice and helpful too. I highly reccomend the warm compot it is a berry mix and has Christmas vibes to it. Super tasty. We took a lot of food and it was a good price for what you get. Be careful about one thing , this one soup with meat , had a tongue inside of an animal and we didn’t know this and didn’t like the flavour. So just make sure to check with the staff.

Super busy place, nice food and quick service,if the place would be less crowded, then it would be more relaxed, more cosy atmosphere. Big menu, price wise - can find much cheaper places in Warsaw.

Outstanding traditional Polish food. Great pan fried pierogies and soup. My husband had zurek and I had chicken soup. I love that I was able to get a mix of my choice of pierogies so I was able to try different options. We shared fruit pierogies and apple cake for dessert. Definitely recommend!

The restaurant ambiance is good. Service is ok. We ordered Beetroot soup with ravioli, Potato Pancake and Hibiscus Tea. The Beetroot Soup was delicious and the combination of ravioli with the soup was the cherry on top. The potato pancake was served with mushroom cream sauce. The portion was huge and the mushroom sauce was complimenting the dish very well. Hibiscus tea was very tasty, and perfectly balanced with sweet and citric fruit flavors.

It has a mystery that attracts me. I consider it one of the top 3 restaurants that I visited in 4 continents so far. Excellent food and service. Good portions. Warm ambiance.

A large establishment with many branches across the city. We visited one of the spots in Old Town. There was a long queue and we had to wait about 20 minutes to get a table. The ambience was nice, traditional Polish and a bit old school. But the place was packed, and both the ground and basement levels were full. Temperature was warm and comfortable, especially since it was chilly outside. Food and drink options were good, and tasted yummy. Portion size was good. Serving time was failry quick. Recommend for nice Polish food like Tripe Soup and Potato Pancakes with Beef Goulash. Drinks like mulled wine and beer with fruits and plum juice were also very nice. Prices were neither cheap nor very expensive. Food for 2 and drinks for 3 came to 250 PLN. Service was decent; available in English, and prompt. But the lady seemed unfriendly; perhaps she was tired.

This is chain of restaurants and it is excellent. The food is typical Polish, so tend to be very hearty and filling on a cold day. The portions are huge, so bring your appetite. They do great fruit wine, beer and vodka. I had the potato pancakes with goulash one day, and gnocchi with goulash another day. Both superb. The servers are very good and the place seemed to be very busy every day.

I tried Soup in the photo attached.( I forgot the name.) So good compared to the one I tried in other place. I tried Polish traditional dumplings both pan-fried and steamed ones as well . It's combination of different stuffs inside and they are all tasty. They don't serve those with sauce or sour cream. I like the service of waiting staffs. Quiet busy. We were in queue to get a table.

  • 3/5 Laura CN (. 8 months ago on Google
The dumplings were not fried and a bit dough-y. However the filling was delicious and flavorfull. The turkey and lentil ones were my favorite. The onions that came with the sausage were good as well. The atmosphere was nice and the service was fast.

The restaurant's ambience is great, and the service was very welcoming. The pork knuckle with sauerkraut and the mixed pierogi were delicious. The apple pie for dessert was also delightful. Would definitely recommend to people who wish to try polish cuisine. The price is also very reasonable.

The food is awesome, prices are decent as well. We had several dishes all really good. The service is not bad at all but the number of personnel is not enough for the size of the restaurant during rush hour. A place to be visited - must

It was a very unique experience. Although we stayed about 30 minutes in line to get a table inside the restaurant on Saturday, i can say it worth it! We had a very nice variety of food on our table and all of them were colorful, tastful and delicious! Drinks were more beautiful in shape than their taste

Slow to sit and order. Waitress walked off without taking my full order. Service was non existent. Food was OK but may have been better if I had a chance to order everything I wanted.

  • 4/5 Medine M. 9 months ago on Google
It was too crowded, you have to wait in front of it for some time to get inside and that's why workers were busy and sometimes you needed to call twice or go towards them to ask for something. Some were smiling others not. However, they did everything that I asked for very well. Food was well prepared but I didn't enjoy it. I am not sure if it is because this was a new food for me and I wasn't used to it or not. Besides, temperature was very hot inside and the prices normal for touristic place.

  • 3/5 Hanh T. 8 months ago on Google
I've been coming here over the years and definitely noticed that is has changed. Overall, food is pretty good given it's a chain aimed at tourists. We had flaki, potato pancake with goulash (both of which were very nice) and a plate of mixed pierogies. The pierogies were meant to be lightly pan fried (which means that only the "belly" of the dumpling is slight brown, but the outer wavy dough is still fluffy & chewy), yet they came out with the texture of being deep fried, which I really didn't like. Fillings were okay, but nothing ground breaking. Maybe next time we can try the boiled ones, they are a safer bet. Service was quite average

  • 5/5 Mike A. 8 months ago on Google
Incredible food. One of my fast favorites in Warszawa. I recommend the fried pierogi or the very large stuffed dumplings in the photo (I forget the name).

  • 4/5 Roman L. 2 years ago on Google
Polish national duplings which are deep-fried might be too fat for some ppl. Prices are also a bit high. Nevertheless, this restaurant is cozy and atmospheric. There is attention to details such as Bolesławiec pottery.
