Legendary place in the old city. Somewhat a mix between a German brewery and a Slavic Central European restaurant. Food is typical for the region, with a lot of meat supported by beer, but it has a genuine feel. It's moderatly priced, and I would recommend it for someone who want to try the taste of polish cuisine.

Great place to enjoy a Beer (recommend the Weizen) and also brewery typical food, especially the goulash soup. They have a beer garden but I still recommend sitting inside for the atmosphere. Prices are fair and the complementary pickles make it a 5 Star review.

One of the best place in town for a proper dinner. Prices are reasonable, and the portion is honestly more than generous. The sour rye soup with sausages and egg is very famous in Poland, and it taste strangely delicious. The pork knuckle is just spectacular. It is so tender and juicy that I was able to cut it easily with the normal knife. And it was huge that I couldn’t finish it! I ordered lemonade but if you fancy a pint or two, I believe they have a wide selection of beer and wine at a very reasonable price point. All in all a lovely place to dine at in the old town of Warszawa. Highly recommend!

Dinner was excellent. The terrace was full, so I was seated inside. Service was prompt, efficient, helpful, and friendly. Serving size was very generous. Take away containers were provided when I was not able to finish my meal.

4 stars for the experience in general, but 10 ⭐️ for staff who it doing amazing job! I had to wait for a long time to be served, and get the bill, food arrived quick. So, food was amazing! Real Polish good quality food! Very big portions - I had soup and potato pancake and didn’t manage to finish both, because it’s too much! I’ve been given free drinks from lady who was greeting people, to warm up myself - this is so kind of her! Also expect the queue to enter - the quality of the food explains that, it definitely worth to visit! Location is amazing too! In the very city centre of Old Town of Warsaw! Oh yeah! Price - you will be surprised how good it is! So - I’ll recommend to visit despite on waiting time (just allocate more time for this place, that’s it).

Traditional Czech style tavern with traditional Polish and central European dishes. Good ambiance, tasty food, a very popular place. Advance booking is recommended.

Food was so big, pierogi was amazing, but the potato pancake was a but too oily, so it was hard to finish it because of the big portions. But staff was amazing and friendly :) She did her best to explain the menu to us

Very delicious food and service minded staff. I ordered salmon with ratatouille and jasmin rice and it was very well made. My colleague order roasted port knuckle and there was enough for our whole group of people to taste. This is one of the places that I will return to when in Warsaw.

Have been 2 times here: first was on Friday, and it was a long queue to get inside, therefore we waited for 30 minutes; the same place, but on Sunday we got seated quite fast. Interior is fascinating, service is good, however it depends on the waiter. Since we were here 2 times, first waiter was quite competent and fast, second time it was a newcomer which seems like doesn’t have an experience to be a waitress, but I will not lift one star because of experience. Also, I have a check attached for 4 people. By the way on Friday we caught live music. Five/five.

Amazing tasty food with unique atmosphere and great service. Everything was above our expectations, except for the wine - we had to try all the wines before we could find a dry white wine to our liking. However it was amazing, and their courtyard is fully covered, allowing us to have a totally dry dinner under heavy rain. The menu is clear, simple, and shows what this place is: great food and incredible dining experience.

Very fun interior, good options on the menu and the service and food is pretty quick. A good range of polish staples and worth a try. A little touristy but not as touristy as others I suppose. Prices were decent and the daily specials are great value. The staff outfits are interesting!

Get here early to get a table outside! Menu has a lot of options and food is very tasty and well served. Tips must be payed in cash and it can get crowded and servers may not be as nice as expected. Although they are very polite!

The mix grill and the Bigos were good, but the service definitely ruined the mood. It was all good when we came in....a server girl took our orders....and explained her slowness was due to the fact it was her first day....we said that was fine and no problem at all..... But EVERYTHING came in painfullyyy veryyy much toooo slowww, we nearly half drunk our lemonade when the first meal, Bigos came.... after that we had to follow up everything! We keep noticing other tables that arrived way after us already got their grilled meats, and yet we still don't have ours... My partner used to frequent this place and was even surprised with how bad the service went for us for that night.

Traditional polish food. It was really nice. They specialized in meat and everything related to it. Portions are huge! Be careful when ordering:) We got golonka, plate of meat and big potato pancake (placek ziemniakowy). Everything was tasty. Everything is fried and with a lot of fat, so definitely not healthy:) Recommend the place!

We did have to wait outside on a Friday around 6pm but when we left around 8pm there was no line. Inside is very cozy - wooden beams and arched ceilings in parts. It's not fancy but it is elevated traditional dining - great for a date or dinner w colleagues or special occasion as well. It's quite busy. The food looked great and I went with locals who also love to frequent this restaurant bc the food is quality and authentic. We had the mix grill that was enough for 2 people and came with cabbage on the side.

The location looks extremely nice. Honey mustard ribs are good, but too sweet personally I got bored of them before ending them. The porch knuckles looked amazing but they were over when we reached the place

-> Totally worth the visit, awesome food! I had the Gołąbki Be careful it gets very crowded, so maybe go a little bit earlier.

We enjoyed a wonderful evening. The food was of high quality and a diverse range of Polish dishes was available. I tried the potato pancakes with beef goulash. It was a delicious. With a fluffy pavlova for desert.

AMAZING RESTAURANT! We came two times because the food was great. The waiters are the best. Mikolaj and Kamila were the best!!! Really recommend it. Classic polish food

What a pity, it was recommended to me but we didn't like it very much. We waited a long time for the beers and dishes and most of the meat was gone! What we managed to order were nice ideas but not too good. The prices were good.

My mother and I come here from time to time and we noticed that they really care about the customer's well-being. It was especially nice today and it was our best visit here, when Mr. Olaf served us. Very cordial, nice and with a smile to everyone. We noticed that he paid a lot of attention to all the guests and made sure that everyone was happy! We are convinced that everyone will leave satisfied - especially if you meet Mr. Olaf!!!

We went twice during our trip to Warsaw and it was great both times. Huge portions, friendly service. Lovely tough to get complimentary pickles to start and cherry wodka to finish. Highly recommend!

Quite good tourist restaurant. It is crowded so be prepared to wait in line. Staff was fast and nice, but they have a lot of work so don't expect 5 ⭐ service. Food was good, big portions, but I think you can find better and cheaper food in other less touristic restaurants.

  • 4/5 Jamie L. 2 years ago on Google
Delicious food at great prices, the pork knuckle is truly massive! The wait time for the food took almost an hour however on a Saturday evening, which was expected due to the restaurant's popularity. Better to make a reservation for large groups!

Really big portions and top quality meat well prepared, unfortunately spoiled with too much salt, way too much.

4 diners. each ordered 3 dishes. Food is average minus. the place was not loaded with people, however service was bad. had to escalate to get things moving. starters came partially,. mains arrived after hour. meat mix was dry as desert. I returned the dish. to get beverages had to remind them again. the place didn't charge for 3 main dishes eventually.

Good schnitzel, quick and pleasant service. Small money

  • 5/5 John D. 2 years ago on Google
Recommended by a local. Absolutely met recommendation. Monica made us feel very welcome. Food was very delicious, though I have very little polish food background to compare to - careful if you don't know the question and answer yes, you get more pickles (a good thing). The bill was small and the plates were big. Best of all, the little insurgent is across the street. Thank you for an awesome dinner.

  • 4/5 Yi-Jie L. 5 months ago on Google
Food here is tasty and the restaurant offers large plate. Recommend the schnitzel here. When you have dinner here, you can enjoy the live music playing. Nice atmosphere!

Great restaurant in a great location at the old city. You better book your visit in advance. Great food. Great serving with a smile. An option for birthday little surprises cooperated with the restaurant team in advance. The prices are moderate. The polish local beer served there is fantastic. Mostly recommended ! A must visit.

We arrived for late dinner and were initially seated inside at a side room. We found the acoustics in the room echoed every voice in the room. After expressing our concern, we were moved to the outside location. The ambience was greatly improved. Busy spot, good service, good food and complimentary pickles and sour cabbage to start.

I love this place. Awesome interior and decor, lots of interesting gadgets from years ago, super atmosphere. The food is recommendable but it's also a great place for a few (or more) drinks. A minor downside may be that sometimes you have to wait a while for a table, nevertheless it's worth it. I highly recommend it!

Sooo good food. I loved the pork knuckle Hungarian style, portion is big for the price, it's really good ratio price/quality and quantity. After the food we received (I think cherry soplica) which was tasty as well.also we received fermented cabbage and pickles for free

  • 3/5 Alexei M. 9 months ago on Google
Very slow service. We came hungry, got seated and waited 20 minutes for someone to take our order. The ladies in white coats are not helpful at all - they create more chaos. Got the food after 40 minutes. Not recommended.

We have passed a good moment here not only for the local polish food, but also for the musical atmosphere ! It was super nice to dance with the local people. Concerning the food, I am totally fall in love with the Smalec, the pork fat ! It was sooo good to eat with the bread. BTW, the bread here is specifically tasteful ! I believe there is some lard inside. I gave 4 star only because I think the portion of the dish can be downsized a little as it is really HUGE. If the restaurant can pay more attention on this, I will change my note to 5 stars next time !

  • 5/5 Mike M. 10 months ago on Google
They almost ran out of space for us, but after a few minutes' wait, we were seated. The staff were excellent at helping us with the menu choices, even with a language barrier, and we ate the best pork knuckle warsaw has to offer 😋

  • 5/5 Peter H. 1 year ago on Google
Nice restaurant offering local Polish cuisine. Offers lots of outdoor seatings, ideal for afternoon drinks or dining. Service is good and price is fair given its location. Food portions are large.

Really recommend this place when in Warsaw and you want to have the polish pork knuckle. Delicious. also good beer and traditional beer house food options. Do reserve a table when you can and if you more than two ppl. After you can take a stroll through old town.

Had lunch here as part of a wedding celebration. Over 24 of us. We had a private section which was nice. I had mushroom soup for starters but there was also chicken soup and some traditional pork based soup. For the mains there was duck, chicken, pork, salmon and chicken. They were all tasty but the duck was the best for me. Dessert of apple strudel and ice cream was lovely. This restaurant was popular there were queues to get in. It was quite large so can accommodate a lot of people. Great food with great service.

Very nice and cozy place with perfect food quality. I may advise all dishes and drinks from there without any doubt. Taste is perfect. Price is higher than normally, but still OK. 100 PLN is enough for 2 persons to get full with tasty food.

  • 5/5 al v. 2 years ago on Google
Ordered beef tartar, sour rye soup, roast pork ribs. Excellent food and with big portions! Best to share. Will visit again to try other food when I visit Warsaw again.

  • 5/5 Grėta B. 8 months ago on Google
Food is amazing here! Full menu of traditional polish dishes! Portions are massive.. It look simple, but taste is main thing. Soon after order you will get traditional polish 'starter' with pickles and pickled cabbage for free. I love food. So my rate for this place is total 100% YES ! One thing I will regret forever, that my stomach filled up before I noticed Pavlova cake... Don't repeat my mistake! Btw if you are lucky, you will hear traditional polish musicians performance for someone's bday here :)

Highly recommended restaurant nearby the old town in Warsaw. Beautifully decorated with tradicional vibes. I recommend to try the nice sort of soups that they have in their menu (special mention to the goulash soup that was delicious). We also tried the ribs and they were fantastic: tender and juicy. Friendly staff serving the tables to complete a joyful experience

I love this restaurant. Good quality food with affordable prices and amazing service. Very cozy and nice atmosphere. Portion is more than enough for hungry adults! They have lots of choices, meat, fish, salad, drink, and dessert. Everyday they have some discount on some specific menu. Highly recommend!

Great restaurant with both polish national food and regular Mediterranean. Cozy internal backyard with quiet lounge music and at the same time it's not expensive

This is a lovely restaurant. We stumbled upon them in a real hurry, asked them what can be prepared fast, they delivered everything we ordered superfast, and not only was all the food great, the staff never lost their quiet smile and were helpful all the way. Definitely will go back.

👍👍 I love pancakes so much, so this place was in the list "must to go". During two days in Warsaw we came here twice. It is true, that you will have to wait in the queue. We have spend about 40 min, but it was worth. Food was perfect, the staff was polite (Hubert thank you!), the interior was nice and...
