KPopstay was one of the most distinctly average hostels I’ve ever stayed at, and I’ve stayed at a lot. To be fair, it was clean. But there was zero life, the staff at the desk had little to no idea about Korea, and really didn’t understand basic things about hostels. And to top it all off, the hostel agreed to changing our booking to one less day on arrival, but then insisted on charging us for that extra night even when reconfirming that this was what they said. I would only recommend to stay at this hostel if you want somewhere to sleep. If you actually want a hostel who can do hostel services, go anywhere else.

Marc is really nice has a great thing going if you are vacationing alone or with a group of friends. Fun staff and atmosphere. The common areas are really big and the hostel is located in a great area really close to shopping, restaurants, and the metro. Very accommodating and friendly crew at KPOPSTAY.

Great little hostel in Hongdae. Short walk to the clubs and restaurants. Good sleeping arrangements. Downstairs male bathroom was too small for a hostel that size

Great location and very clean. Staff are helpful and the owner is super nice. Would definitely stay here again if I come back to South Korea!

Staff could not speak Korean (except for the owner) and were very apathetic about working there because they all worked in exchange for living there. The breakfast was pitiful- toast, peanut butter and jelly.
Lockers were large enough, but inconvenient because they were just underneath the beds. The hot water was super confusing- I have never seen hot water to the right and cold water to the left (and it wasn't marked). The shower also had no changing area, so it was a dance to make sure your clothes didn't get wet. In the bathroom, one sink had no cold water, only scalding....
Location was okay, but really far from the subway, so take a taxi if you have stuff. Laundry facilities were really convenient for 1,000 won. The owner was super friendly and liked to show his presence.

Great location if you want to be close to the night district, but in a backstreet so it's very quiet.
Bunk bed are very private with a curtain, and very comfy.

Very friendly staff here, most are fluent in English! Very cozy environment too, the bed is surprisingly comfortable given the affordable price. Breakfast includes cereal, milk and toast with various spread.

KPOPSTAY is my go-to hostel when I stay in Seoul. It's not only reasonably priced, but it's also very clean and well-maintained! Walk just a few minutes and you're right in the center of a great area for shopping and eating.

KPOPSTAY was definitely the best guesthouses i have ever stayed. It was very clean & comfortable and Mark was very helpful recommending excellent Korean BBQ restaurants and clubs in Hongdae. The bed is very private and squeaky clean and the terrace and garden was also very beautiful. Want to go back when it gets warmer!
