This restaurant has survived in the area for decades, many of its customers being Chinese and Taiwanese seems to speak for its authenticity. Koreanized Chinese dishes are available, too. I am always amazed by the large vegan menu (green color!) that is available upon request! There are still so many dishes I have yet to try and so far I have always been happy with the food. Beside the noodles with black sauce (Jjajang myeon 자짱면) and noodles in spicy broth (Jjamppong 짬뽕), which are classics at Chinese restaurants, they serve vegan versions of dishes including stir-fried or deep-fried tofu, mushrooms and vegetables. I highly recommend their Kkanpunggi-style shiitake mushrooms (깐풍표고)! It's spicy and so flavorful! If you are not fond of onions, garlic and the likes or follow a sattvic diet (such as Buddhist monks), it is possible to prepare food without those ingredients. Normally, staff will ask you about this, after you inquire about the vegan menu. It can get noisy and busy at times, seeing that it is located within a bustling working district. The Chinese-style interior with plastic table cloth and plastic tableware is rather practical than elegant - be aware of this if you are looking to find a fancy dinner location. But the food is really good!!

Really old place in Yeoido with a classic Chinese restaurant interior with round tables and wide windows that makes you feel like a gangster in an Asian noir flick. They have a separate green menu for vegetarians. For vegans, I recommend ordering Jjajiangmyeon Goppaeggi (means double, you add 2,000 won and they give you extra noodles - meant for people who eat a lot but we order it this way so that we can share!) and a sweet and sour mushroom or kkanpoong mushroom as a main dish. Best kkanpoong mushroom in Korea, hands down. (You could even say that it’s the best in the world.) So good. Also the server is sometimes super rude for that authentic experience. 👌 But the owners are super nice and friendly. Be sure to bring cash! You will be rewarded for your cash payment. That’s my secret tip!

Kind of a historic place in this area. Real Chinese people cook the Korean style Chinese food. The fried dumpling is the best!

They have big space and vegan option for Chinese foods! I guess the staff was too busy to pay attention on me, but they were friendly. Taste was simple( it means not greasy) and good 👍🏼

Menus in English, Chinese and Korean. Large vegetarian menu separate from main menu. Was a little tricky to find - 5th floor. Staff very helpful. Large portions and dumplings especially good.

The restaurant name is written in Chinese so look for the only Chinese sign for the restaurant. Well worth the search!

👍👍 The ginseng chicken here is absolutely delicious even though it isn't exactly friendly to our pockets. If you are in korea, do give it a try. You will not regret travelling down for it.
