Lovely, clean place and cafe. The play area has few damages unfortunately. Long walk on the path which is accessible with prams and wheelchairs or walks through the woods.

This building is a welcome addition to the park. A place for information, education, food, drinks and a toilet break. The visitor centre is easy access and a very pleasant place to enjoy a break from the park's activities. There are picturesque views of the lake, and the fabulous sound of a visiting brass band can sometimes be heard from the bandstand to the rear of the property. You cannot park directly next to this building, which is a shame during poor weather, and for the less able bodied. The hot food and sandwiches here were delicious. The staff were polite and very capable. The toilet facilities are clean and modern.

The café was clean and tidy, the staff very helpful. All the tables were cleaned as soon as someone left the café. We bought 2 cups of decaff tea and a scone and the bill came to £3.20 unbelievable in this day. You normally pay atleast £6.00 elsewhere.

Really cheap for location. Bought 3 drinks (Can of cola and 2 fruit shots) was only £2.20 and kids got to sit and watch the ducks and swans while having a rest.

Love the train ride up from Middleton Railway centre staffed by lovely volunteers, the park is well laid out and spacious, with plenty of woodland walks for peace and serenity. Brilliant cafe and clean public toilets, alongside a small lake for fishing and feeding the duckies.

Park is well cared for and friendly, with a nice fishing pond. . Played a brass band concert here and although the weather was inclement and cold (shall we say), the audience gave us a great reception. Would have loved to spend more time there.

It's a lovely large park. Well maintained, lovely cafe with fair prices that's right on the side of a large pond. Parking is free inside and road side.

Hidden treasure. Deep in the depths of this amazing ancient woodland is a lovely little cafe next to the pond. The centre is immaculate offering basic but enjoyable menu
