Leeds is a great city and the location of this hotel is great. Unfortunately not dog friendly and the parking can be a little tricky but don’t let that out you off. The hotel is well looked after and has a great sky bar if you like a few drinks. My room was lovely even if the toilet seat was a bit loose. This hotel is one I’ll be back to again.

Very comfortable and convenient hotel. Decent sized rooms with good beds - everything felt clean and new. The common areas of the hotel in lobby and breakfast/bar areas were all very pleasant. The location is excellent - you are right in the middle of everything but there is no noise disturbance from the station which is very close. It's a great area with access to all the shops, bars, clubs etc but you can also go for a walk down the canal if you want some fresh air. Parking is convenient if you have a car - little bit pricey but directly opposite the hotel and secure for your car. Reception staff were friendly and helpful and welcoming - compliments to all of you for that.

Great hotel in a convenient location right in the city centre. Check-in was quick and easy, plus we got a warm cookie each. Our room had been recently refurbished and was comfortable and quiet. There is a lovely restaurant and bar on the ground floor. A convenient car park is also a very short walk away. I would highly recommend this place if you are visiting Leeds.

Another lovely stay at Double Tree by Hilton Leeds. I keep returning and see reasons why I do linked to every visit. Great location - high standards - great facilities and ground floor Lock bar plus Sky cocktail bar - but the lovely Jasmine providing polite and pleasant breakfast service was the star Hilton employee on this visit … thank you Jeannie 👏🏼

We liked our stay there. Room was clean and nice, well served. Breakfast is included and was really good choose of food for everyone. Coffee bit the best but not the worst. Location is great - in the very city centre with easy access to the shopping centre, night clubs, restaurants. The problem what we came across was parking, Hilton’s parking was fully booked and we had to park by for £19 per day. Which is insane, because it was 3 of us. Food was amazing in the restaurant downstairs - but! Make sure that they add VAT and service fee into receipt. But in general - was good

The location of this hotel is excellent, with easy walking distance to the main shopping area and the train station whilst situated in the lively Granary Wharf. The rooms are clean and well sized and the bed is comfortable. Breakfast also had an excellent selection. I was slightly disappointed with the room, however, as I found it to be slightly basic for a doubletree hotel and not equivalent to other hotels I’ve stayed in at similar prices. For example, the shower gel in the bathroom comes in a large dispenser on the wall as opposed to a mini that can be kept and the shower was quite small in the corner of the room.

Amazing stay. Reception welcoming and attentive, rooms were fab and immaculate, took note of my preferences and the breakfast team were superb, dinner was lovely too and the team were super friendly. Will definitely be back again. Thank you

Best hotel I've experienced yet for gluten free vegetarian breakfast. As Well as buffet if required will cook breakfast separately and provide separate plate. Items side by side reducing chance of cross contamination if use buffet separate gluten table with gf croissants and cakes. Also will provide gluten free toast that actually tastes good

Great hotel in a great location, staff are very friendly and offer good parking although comes with a £19.95 over night charge. Rooms were clean and came with all the expected extras. Although the queen room we has was a little small but that was the only issue. When staying at the hotel a visit to the sky lounge at the top is a must.

As my reviews will tell you I quite like Hilton’s though they do vary in quality a bit. However this one is a good one. The location is great in Leeds - just behind the station and surrounded by good bars and restaurants. Parking - if you know where you’re going - is easy and secure. The hotel itself is very good. The bar on the ground floor is great (though bizarrely they won’t do a packet of crisps - you can only order from the menu). The rooms themselves are good and well appointed. There is also a bar on the roof which is excellent though I have not been for some time (getting old now 😂). This is a better hotel than the ‘proper’ Hilton which is just down the road. All in all a good hotel in a great location.

Had a lovely time staying at the Hilton, took the upgrade for the Tower Suite (1116)great room, separate sleeping area and nice lounge. Try to order some champagne but had nothing in stock, bit disappointing. Used the gym facilities while I was there, running machines and speed bike needs maintenance other than that the cable machine was working perfectly, dumbbells go up to 22kilos. The breakfast was really good, asked for poached eggs and Avocado, eggs were cooked perfectly. The hotel is situated right next door to the train station,

A fantastic centrally located hotel in Leeds, right next door to the train station. Check in was smooth an friendly. A great breakfast selection with views of the canal and check out at 12! I would definitely recommend staying here.

We booked this hotel at the last minute because our last hotel didn't have parking, and I didn't regret it! There is parking next to the hotel, either in the hotel's parking or in the publicly available parking. There's a lot going on in this area in the evenings because there are a bunch of pubs and eateries around. The area itself is lively and modern. Great views and calm during the day. The staff inside the hotel are very warm and welcoming, whether at the reception or breakfast. The rooms are clean and spacious (even if they're a bit older than what the exterior promises). The room I was in was very quiet and had a lovely view of the canal. The breakfast starting at 8 on Saturday made me start my day late, which was unfortunate because I ended up being late to my event that started right around breakfast, but not everyone has work events on Saturdays that they have to be up early for so I don't blame the hotel for this. There were a TON of options at breakfast even if I wish for a little more for vegetarians or vegans. Overall, this was a highly pleasant experience and I'd stay here again if I were to come back to Leeds!

Fantastic location. Great welcome . Lovely chocolate cookies on arrival. Coffee tea etc provided complimentary. Ice machine outside our door. Room was big enough.. everything we needed. View was nice too. Breakfast was amazing ..So much to choose from. Laid out and presented brilliantly. Attentive staff too. Would we go there again.. 100% we booked to go back in sept . Sitting outside watching the world go by with lovely atmosphere and gorgeous surroundings made a birthday treat for me amazing .. Thank you Double Tree and thank you Lauren 😊

I had the best experience in this hotel, right from the point of entry. The receptionist was amiable and kind enough to give me a welcome confectionery. The check-in process was smooth and seamless. I got a standard room but the standard was nothing like any of the standard rooms, I have stayed in. There was a complimentary breakfast and the buffet spread was amazingly diverse. I had an absolutely great time. Looking forward to returning again

What a stunning setting. We visited the sky bar on a cold winters night in late November, but we still experienced luxury here. The heated area outside allows you to enjoy the view without feeling the cold, or alternatively you can sit indoors where the bar staff are very accommodating and the live music playing. For me, you can get a cocktail in central Leeds is a mucky, fairly run down bar with a DJ who plays the same tracks all evening blasting in your ear, or you can opt for a luxury experience at sky bar for (sometimes) less cost. It’s a no brainer. Amazing experience and beautiful venue. Will be back.

Nice rooms, quiet enough although some noise from hall. Great breakfast. Cookie on arrival is a nice touch. But please, at this price point I'd hope for some firmer pillows in the cupboard, the ones provided are like deflated bags of air (nice for some, but not everyone as you'll see in the comments).

I’ve been coming here regularly since it was built. I love the location. The staff. The breakfast. But now….. the rooms are looking very tired. No USB outlets in the room and you have to crawl on the floor to find an outlet to plug your chargers into by the bed. The bathrooms need updated. Broken toilet seat and all the seals around the sink and shower need to be redone. A three star room at a five star price. The number of Hilton points (35,000) for a reward room has gone up drastically over the last few years also. I’ll be back in Leeds soon but it’s a coin toss whether I stay here or look for something with more modern rooms.

Stayed here a couple of times now. No complaints. Great location if driving or via train. Plenty of parking at a charge under tunnels. Haven’t tried the lock bar yet for some reason. Top floor bar is great. Nice bars and food outside in small tunnel spaces. Few minute walk and in centre. Will be staying again no doubt.

Lovely clean modern hotel a few minutes walk from the station. Great breakfast. The only down side was that the rooms are not very sound proof - I kept being woken up by people talking in the corridor and the "ding" of the elevator.

Room was good, immaculately clean. Impressive foyer gives way to grubby carpets on bedroom floors. Disappointing gym - could have done with more ‘generic’ cycling machines. Breakfast was busy but fine. All staff were excellent. Roof top bar gives a great view and pricey drinks.

The DoubleTree by Hilton in Leeds was fantastic. We did our check-in with David and he was great. He welcomed us and told us everything we needed to know for a great stay, the cookies were a nice touch. The rooms were clean, had wonderful views, and air conditioning :). The location is central to many things to see and do. There is a nice roof-top bar and a restaurant on the premises. The complimentary breakfast is outstanding. Much more robust than others I've had. You should stay here if visiting Leeds.

Such a welcoming and nice place to stay. The service was brilliant, first thing they did was give us a free warm cookie each and the room wasn't ready when we got there but they gave us a free drink voucher to use while we waited, which was really lovely, we didn't have to wait long though. The hotel itself is clean and comfy, we slept so well. Would definitely return and recommend.

Great first impressions of helpful staff and a bit of going the extra mile , appreciated after 9 hours of travelling. Reception staff were excellent. Drinks and meal in the Lock again great service and choice. Finally breakfast, in the lock plenty of room , plenty of choice, really nice. All in all a great stay. London Tower Double tree could really learn fm this team. Sorry Leeds is my number one , oh and its in a great location.

A two night stay and everything was perfect, great room with a very comfortable bed, well equipped bathroom and good quality towels. Restaurant is a very comfortable place to be and both breakfast and dinner were served by friendly and professional staff. Food quality and choice was very good. We'll certainly visit again.!!

Lovely hotel. A little bit out the way if the weather is bad but taxis are so easy in Leeds. We had a view of the canal which was lovely. We checked in at 1pm and went straight to the sky bar for drinks. Miserable weather outside but it doesn’t matter them as the bar is beautiful. The cocktails are lovely 100% worth a visit. Always sceptical about Hilton’s as I really don’t like the mattresses in the standard Hilton’s. But these were brilliant. Which a great nights sleep thank you. We will be back

Fabulous place, excellent service from friendly and professional staff; great location in the centre of Leeds for city bars and shopping. There's a lovely terrace next to the canal to enjoy a drink or two in summer. Their sky lounge is a great place for evening drinks whilst taking in the best view of the city. Next door to the train station but also have parking if you book in advance. It's the place to stay in Leeds for me.

I've been in the restaurant downstairs for Sunday lunch which was really lovely, paid more than in other places but it was well presented, tasty and an enjoyable treat. Would go again. Also been in the Sky Lounge on the top floor for drinks, table had to be booked in advance as there were 10 of us but you could try just calling in if only two or four of you as they could easily accommodate more than were there early doors last night. Friendly staff, great service and a nice view across the city.

Overall we had a very enjoyable stay and the rooftop lounge was excellent. Hotel location is very good and standard of accomodation was above average. Good value. Short stay so didn't have the opportunity to sample the restaurant.

Booked a weekend for my daughter's 18th birthday in Leeds The welcome from the reception staff was amazing, love me the free warm cookie. Our rooms were next together, view overlooking the train station but could not hear any of the outside noise. We had an evening meal in The Lock & the food was very tasty & good value for money. Waitress service was excellent. Breakfast was either cooked or continental & had plenty of choice for both. Choice of juices or tea/coffee. Friendly & welcoming service by breakfast staff & great views of the canal & surrounding buildings. This Hotel is amazing & great value for money, will definitely stay here again. Thank you for a great stay.

Staff were really friendly, foyer and attached restaurant/bar were really modern. Location was fantastic, really beautiful turning up on a nice sunny day. Parking was convenient in the arches under the train station (albeit £19 is a bit on the pricey side). Room was clean, one slight issue was the flush on the toilet, wasn’t great. Would stay again, definitely using it for Slam Dunk 2023.

Stayed here for three nights. Reasonably priced. Room was very clean with nice selection of toiletries provided, as well as coffee and tea. Room also has an iron, hair dryer and decent size TV. Breakfast is really nice providing a huge selection. Can get busy at certain times. Has a bar and restaurant for evening meals, however didn't try the top bar. Hotel is located next door to the train station as well as having a nice couple of craft beer pubs next to it and a nice Italian and Brazilian meat restaurant. Will definitely stay again.

A very good hotel located in Granary Wharf which is a few minutes walk from the shops and nightlife of the city centre. The hotel is set in a very picturesque location next to the canal and rail line with plenty of restaurants and bars in the area immediately surrounding the hotel. There is a very nice vibe to this area which certainly makes it a pleasant place to stay or have an evening or, even day out. If you arrive by train, then the station is a few minutes walk away. If arriving by car there is ample parking under the railway arches which is spacious and user friendly. The car park is a 30 second walk from the hotel. We have stayed at this hotel before and you really cannot go wrong. Excellent value, modern, clean, well maintained along with first class staff in all areas of the hotel. Rooms are very good and spacious and offer everything you need for a comfortable stay away from home be it business or leisure. There is an excellent roof top bar at the hotel with amazing views over the city. Breakfast was also taken at the hotel. The dining room was light, airy and very clean. Big picture windows have great views over the canal. An excellent choice of food was available for breakfast be it the continental or, full English option. If you are planning a stay in Leeds this is a great hotel in a great location. You can get cheaper hotels but also much more expensive hotels as well. In my opinion after personally experiencing the whole price range of hotels available in the city then for me, this place gives you everything you need and more and is excellent value for money. No photos taken but simply go on the website and Google maps to see all you need to see.

Hotel is in a great location, not too far from everything but further enough away to be quiet. The restaurant is great with good food. The rooms are clean and a good size for the price as well. The service is impeccable and Davide is an absolute pleasure at the front desk. He's a credit to the business and welcomed us so warmly. Highly recommend for all aspects.

It was going nice and exciting till the fire alarms began to buzz. It was well handled by everyone including the staff. They ensured everyone was out of the building and safe, everything was checked out and we were able to go back in. The room is okay. The prices are reasonable.

Great location. Rooms are a bit small. Pillows are comfortable and the AC works great. Internet is plenty fast. The hotel is nice and clean. The gym is great! I didn’t eat at the hotel so I can’t rate the restaurant.

Room is basic (as expected) with comfy bed and lovely view on canalside. Loved the modern rooftop bar. Reception staff was great, very helpful with room issues. If business brings me back, I will stay again.

**Would highly recommend this place!! Stayed here Saturday till today Monday & Was an amazing stay, Staff was very welcoming especially the young lady on arrival was very friendly who checked me in no problem! Also got a free Cookie… Was my first time staying here would will certainly be coming back. Room was spectacularly clean with a room overlooking the railway which was nice. Again would highly recommend this Hilton hotel as it is right next door to leeds train station. An amazing hotel even if it’s for the night because of a cancelled train or something. Thank you Hilton for having me :)

Great location within 5 minutes walking distance from the Leeds Train Station. Brilliant customer service and lovely spacious rooms. The breakfast menu options is up there with some of the best I've had.

  • 3/5 Hannah P. 1 year ago on Google
It was ok, but not at the standard we expected for the Hilton name. The positives: Location was excellent. Well positioned to everything you might want to get to in Leeds. Staff were very friendly. We had a king room and the bed was really comfortable. It was clean. The downsides: it was pricey for something that outside of the reception area, felt on par with a Premier Inn. Everything was very dated. The carpets were bunched and worn, in places they looked dirty. The curtains in our room were slashed horizontally which was strange. The skincare products felt really cheap. It just felt mediocre. We expected more class and at least some style for a hotel chain like this.
