A good place to stay if you want to stay in the city centre because the train station, shopping centre, and major restaurants are all within walking range. Coming to the room, it was clean, quite nice and spacious. Things I didn't like were: the mattress (bed) was not as comfy as I would like it and gave me a bit of a backache, which settled in a few hours. Staff was super helpful and courteous.

Great location near the train station. Surprisingly nice hotel bar. The room was as expected. Clean with good space. This review is mainly because I left my watch in my room. I contacted the hotel after arriving back in London. They found the watch and promptly agreed to post it to me and it is now on its way to me. A very lucky result thanks to good customer service.

First off the room was boiling. I suspect it doesn't have the advertised air con and more of a forced ventilation system which doesn't actually cool the air. Window opened a tiny bit and further reinforced the cooling issue by the fact they supply fans on request. Bed was comfortable but couldn't sleep as it was far too hot and the pillows were very strange, some were like a half thick half thin sectioned pillows and the others were flat. Parking was also overpriced at £15 a night. Shower was brilliant though as was the service from breakfast staff and reception. However it fails in its core role, a comfortable hotel room for a good night's sleep.

Pleasant overnight stay. Very good price was available for our stay. Love the cocktail bar area and restaurant area. Very good breakfast. Very friendly and helpful front desk. The room decor was a little disappointing. Especially toilet area with what looked like painted wood chip.

Very warm welcome. Comfortable bed and quiet room. Also agree with other comments, hotel overlooks main road so window needs to be shut and during the night it gets very warm. Also agree on the detergent used for the laundry. I washed and dried my hands and had a rash on my wrists. Maybe the group need to review what they use as maybe it is too harsh or indeed ot could be the towels are older and the fibres have become abrasive.

Absolutely loved it here. Went for a long weekend for my birthday. The staff are very friendly and helpful. Our room was very clean. The only fault was the breakfast we ordered for room service was cold. But other than that, it was perfect.

The hotel is amazing staff friendly. Rooms are modern and spotless. The breakfast was wonderful, it was just a shame that some guests think its OK to come down to breakfast in their pyjamas. It's not on.

Perfect over night stay close to the center but far enough out to avoid noise. Lovely hotel much better than I expected. Staff love and friendly Wish I made time to have a drink in the soap factory attached to the hotel

Edit: unfortunately we had the worst night sleep here due to the excessive chemicals in the room, probably the sheets. We had night sweats, sore throat and coughs, which usually happens in hotels with strong and excessive chemicals usage in the rooms. We barely slept 2 hours. Great hotel with a French feel (in a good way!) 5 minute walk from Leeds railway station with good facilities nearby. Check in was a little perfunctory. She didn’t ask if I had been here before, if I wanted breakfast etc. Just payment please, here’s your key. The executive room has everything you need including a comfortable desk chair, which is a rare thing these days. Rooms facing the courtyard are quiet and the windows open for ventilation. The free drink - I chose wine - was generous. The sauna and gym are great (but the steam room is out of order)

Stay here quite a few times now. Close to the city centre and train station. Parking is available at cost. Room are nice and spacious with a large tv. Some rooms have showers and others with bath. Continental and hot buffet breakfast is also good, better quality then a Holiday or Premier Inn.

Great experience in the hotel after having a meeting with work. Had lunch in their restaurant, the waitresses are friendly and keen to service. Cannot say what the rooms are like but the hotel is good for business meeting and friendly service.

Overall a reasonable stay. Staff are very friendly and helpful. It’s 5 minutes from Leeds station. The rooms are spacious and clean but I did find a used drinks bottle under the desk which makes me think how deeply the rooms are cleaned. I booked this because of the gym/steam room/sauna. The gym is OK, very small. The steam room wasn’t working and the sauna was barely warm. Disappointing. They don’t seem to make much noise about the fact they have this. Maybe because it’s useless. The beds aren’t really comfortable, they’re OK and the bathroom whilst clean needed some care and attention. Having Rituals products in the bathroom was a very nice touch. The toilet is separate from the bathroom which is good if you’re sharing the room. I wouldn’t stay again though.

I stay here often as it is well located for the train station. The staff are always really nice and friendly. The breakfast selection is great and the rooms i have stayed in have been extremely comfortable, good temperature with nice selection of refreshments and a pleasant shower. I have eaten here a few times the chicken in creamed mushrooms and potatoes with seasoned greens is really nice.

We have stayed here before and always enjoyed it.. This was the first time however, since covid and some hotels we have stayed at have sadly gone down hill. However, The Novotel was just like returning to an old favourite and it was a join to stay there. We were visiting for the weekend (something we often do) and we decided to book this one. So glad we did. Greeted by warm and welcoming staff. Had a very clean room with plenty of space and it was in a pretty quite spot as well. We did have some food one of the nights we were there and that was fantastic too. This is a hotel I really enjoy staying at.

I like Novotel as a brand but was slightly disappointed in Leeds. The staff were all pleasant and efficient. However a couple of things were less than delightful. Firstly we had a dirty towel in our bundle, and whilst it was sorted quickly and apologetically, it didn't leave a great impression. Also, be aware if you're driving that the car park is extremely tight and expect quite a high risk of getting a dink in your car door, as we got. Location is excellent for the train station, and pretty much everything in the centre is within 15-20 minute walk.

Beautiful hotel, I'm always very pleased to stay in such a reputable establishment. Unfortunately on my 2 recent 2 night stay the heating was not working in the room. A helpful lady at the front desk kindly offered to change my room but the same issue occurred and I was given a heater. Another slight issue with no QR code in the room for The Soap Factory restaurant(situated in house). Reception had to end up taking my order. Slight hiccups but overall I would definitely recommend.

I have to admit, I've not stayed in a Novatel for more than 20 years... back then it wasn't a nice experience. NOW however, it's completely different. Beats my usual 'bath night' hotels hands down. Well appointed, spacious, wonderful bed, spotless bathroom and nothing too much trouble.

Great location, 10 minute walk from station. Rooms are of a high standard. The staff are friendly and the food both breakfast and dinner offered great choice.

A really nice hotel and checking in and out was really easy. Great location also but sadly the room next to us woke myself and my partner up at around 1am with loud music so we didn't get the best sleep. But ignoring this it was a nice stay.

My second visit to the hotel. Nice quiet room, comfortable bed, conveniently located and an excellent breakfast. Lovely bathroom and facilities. Unfortunately a small piece of dried orange peel fell onto the sheet from the headboard when I pulled back the duvet, and it made me worry that the bed had not been changed.

The location is great and the view from the room is superb. I have checked in with 2 girls on the reception and both were nice. Manuela especially she has been so welcoming and professional; she has helped me to scan my documents, get few things to my room. She is a star and perfectly represents the Novotel brand. There is nothing that I did not like so far

Really nice Hotel and great service. Was only let down by cleanliness. The towels were dirty upon arrival and the replacements were also dirty. I bring my own towels for myself but my partner doesn't so he relies on the ones provided. I didn't want to complain twice as it was a birthday trip and I didn't want the drama. I really would return though. I think we just had an unlucky room. My mum works for a different branch of Novotel and I know sometimes things get missed.

Fastest check in and out I've ever known. Staff were friendly and helpful. Room was clean and covid safe.

Just spent weekend here celebrating our 45th wedding anniversary. The lovely Manuela welcomed us and upgraded us from standard to superior room and gave us a drinks voucher for our anniversary. Carla, Yaima and Jessica were friendly in dining room and very good at their jobs. All in all a great time where nothing was any bother and we would most definitely return, highly recommend.

Didn't stay, had the bottomless brunch, excellent value, great variety of food selection and drinks including tea and coffee as well as alcohol.

Room fine. Service fine. Breakfast very nice. All good. Car Park not huge, but no problem if there is a space.

Lovely hotel! Great size room, with a fridge, plenty of plugs/usb ports, also had a safe, hairdryer, iron and ironing board. Shower was amazing, bed is comfy with extra pillows provided. Receptionist who was there the whole week I stayed was very informative and friendly! Gym was good, with added bonus of sauna and steam room. Small inconvenience having to have to pay for the lockers.

Staff were very helpful, rooms nice and spacious. Only 3 stars due to the amount of times we had to either go or ring reception for new key cards as they stopped working. Stains on the carpet and the rooms was not very clean and beds and pillows not very comfy, but okay for what we needed it for. Friends saud the breakfast was nice but can't comment on that myself as I didn't have anything to eat.

A clean and comfortable hotel. The central location close to the railway station and a few minutes walk to the shops is a real positive. However, this is reflected in the price. The staff were lovely and very helpful, which is always appreciated.

Great location, and good price for the experience. Hotel located close to the station and many bars/restaurants. In hotel bar and restaurant is really good, quick service even when evening hits. Wanted to park, but only a small underground parking available which was full when I arrived but, parking lots located close by at reasonable prices. Room was clean and up to date, all amenities needed for a night away. Big enough room to not feel cramped and the bathroom was up to size also. Would stay again, and recommend to others.

It's good, space and convenient but definitely improvable. It was not clean enough, hair on carpet, stain on taps and door handles. There was a huge black tower thing which turned out to be a light at the top, we didn't get the point. Toilet separated from the rest - good but you need to finish your business open the toilet door and the bathroom door with unwashed hands then have a sink to wash you hands. The extendable lamp at desk is too dim not bright enough for anything. Parking for £15 a day was a bit steep.

Wonderful business trip. Excellent room, with bath as requested. Breakfast was very well catered for compared to other hotels in the area - great hot and cold food choices. Will be my go-to for future trips.

We stayed a night here to attend a gig. The hotel has its own underground car park but it was full when we arrived. We parked down the street in the open air car park. Our room (5th floor corner room) was very good. Spacious and clean. All the staff we encountered were friendly and helpful. We had planned to eat a late lunch in the hotel's adjoining restaurant (the Soap Factory) but Saturday is "bottomless brunch" day which meant it was packed and VERY noisy! Breakfast on checkout day was delivered to our room (there's a charge for this) and was very good. On the whole we enjoyed our stay. Nice hotel in a good location. Would definitely stay here again.

Fabulous staff who go above and beyond to make your stay the best it can be. Great breakfast and again super friendly staff. Rooms were clean and comfortable. Onsite parking with a daily charge. Location was perfect for what we wanted. Would highly recommend this hotel. We will definitely stay again 😊

Located at a central location, close to the central square and shopping arena. Rooms are spacious, with scrumptious english breakfast. I liked the corner rooms which has two windows facing both on the main street. Rooms are equipped with locker, coffee machines (superior room), tea/ coffee essentials with hot water kettle, a mini fridge, basic toiletries in the bathroom and bathtubs. The staff at the reception are very helpful and the staff in the restaurant are kind too. Overall had a great stay.

Visited whilst away on a work trip. This has been, by far, my favourite hotel to stay in whilst on business. The location is superb and the hotel itself is fantastic. Lovely big, clean rooms with all mod cons and friendly, helpful staff. I wouldn't hesitate to stay here again the next time I'm in Leeds.

Work visit made stress free by staying here. Good breakfast to start my day and dinner was very tasty after a hard day at work. Room was very comfortable. Hotel in a very central location so only had a five minute walk to the office. Highly recommend.

The room was clean and well equipped. Separate toilet to shower room was a bit if an odd cupboard. Complimentary tea and coffee making facilities in room and basics provided (iron, safe, harirdryer). Huge TV if that is something you are after. Breakfast choice and quality was exceptional. Hot buffet, cold buffet and juices/teas/coffees were all great. Really convenient for the train station.
