The beauty of this park extends beyond its natural elements. The laughter of children on a playground, paths winds their way through the park, guiding your footsteps and revealing hidden treasures along the way.

Did a parkrun here on a Saturday morning. The park is lovely, though on the day we visited it was pouring with rain! Park in the bike hub carpark though for parkrun as we parked in the other carpark and had a right trek to the start! Carparking was free. There's a great viewpoint, pond, playground etc.

A lovely park for a walk or cycle round but with some extra features for kids and bikers. There are two car parks that I know of (These do get full quick). There is one car park near the visitors centre that serves hot/cold drinks and light snacks including the old faithful, a bacon butty. There are also toilets here and info on the park. Next to this is the fishing lake where you'll hopefully find ducks/swans to feed and I have seen a guy fishing so guess there are fish in there. Up from the pond is a kids play area. The other car park is near the Leeds urban bike park. This looks a fantastic place to take your bike (I will be getting one after seeing this place). With trails and tracks from beginners upwards. There is also a bike shop here that does bike hiring and repairs/services, and a cafe to. Back to the park and there are lots of different paths to take between the woodland, some are paved others are more mud paths (walking shoes/boots recommended) but all are nice to walk around, listening to the birds and enjoying some fresh air. You can also walk to the miniature railway from either of the carparks but unfortunately it's not running at the moment. Have also found out that the John Charles sports centre is another recommended car park if the others are full.

Michelle and Lisa whom run the cafe down by the waters edge are absolutely brilliant! So kind. Great prices for drinks etc Latte was gorgeous! Clean spacious and lots of local information about the park/events and local area. Will definitely be coming back whilst the weather holds up.

Beautiful park and forest area which extends right across to the Leeds urban bike park. There are planned trails giving you the option of a short 1km walk right up to 5 or 6 km’s. Dog friendly with both tarmac and hard packed walking paths. Can get quite muddy in the winter months, but nothing a half decent pair of walking shoes can’t handle. Near the main car park (free to park) is a large children’s play area, tennis and basketball courts, 2 table tennis tables and a visitors centre packed with local info and a great little cafΓ© with both in and outdoor seating.

Middleton Park is a fantastic choice whether you're in the area or just a short drive away and looking for a pleasant hour-long walk. However, if you're seeking a more extensive and enjoyable day out, Roundhay Park offers a far better experience.

Middleton park is fantastic, walks around the woods are always stunning throughout the seasons. The cafe is great value, toilets on site, parking available. There is a free bike park onsite which has tracks and a cafe.

The trails are fantastic with areas for beginners to areas for advanced mountain bikers. There are BMX tracks with a wide variety of jumps and lips and whatever you could think of. This place is a heaven for bikers and I truly recommend this place for people that want to get started in an awesome adventure of cycling through the forest to hitting jumps on steep ramps. A cafe that serve a nice variety of foods and a nice welcome to pastries. An outside seeing area to as well as an inside eating area. The toilets are clean and everything is pristine. And the customer service is wonderful. Anyway you have to try this place out. I know you will enjoy it.

Great place for walking. But I think it needs some investment from local in charges to refresh some areas.

The picnic area is strategically situated within the park, offering visitors a tranquil spot to relax and enjoy the scenic beauty. Whether you're looking to have a peaceful afternoon with your loved ones or gather with friends for a fun-filled picnic, Middleton Park's picnic area provides ample space and facilities to accommodate everyone's needs. With its well-maintained grassy lawns, shaded seating areas, and convenient picnic tables, the park offers a comfortable and inviting atmosphere for picnickers. You can spread out a blanket on the soft grass, bask in the sunshine, and savor a homemade feast while surrounded by the park's natural splendor.

We really enjoyed it here! Clean, not too busy apart from park but we didn't mind. Nice clean toilets that are currently open, staff are doing best they can with the cafe under the circumstances. We spent 4 hours here and could of done more!

Love walking the pooch around middleton park then stopping for a latte at the visitors centre, which always seems open and accepts card! The walk is flat and just long enough for louie to find trouble getting mucky in a bog!

I had lived many years in Leeds without coming here before, now I know I will keep coming back. It's a very large park, I have manged two different 2 mile walks here now. You can walk for sometime without seeing another person when walking on the outer edges, but it is just as enjoyable walking along the well maintained paths. It is surprisingly hilly, but nothing that cannot be coped with if you are able to walk confidently. It's great for jogging, dog-walking and stretching your legs and getting fresh air. There is a Visitors Centre next to a central pond with swans, which I highly recommend going to. People there are very friendly, and the food prices are very cheap for very good quality food. There is a central car park, which on a Tuesday afternoon in March had lots of spaces, I cannot vouch for peak times. There is legal parking in the streets, too. We saw a large group of older people walkers and a several people who use wheelchairs, so on this basis I presume disabled access is very good. There is a toilet at the Visitors Centre, but do check the closing times, as it has been quite early on my visits in March. There are beautiful views and it is amazing to think how close to the city centre you are here, as you quickly forget that you are. There is lots of trees, and a valley to explore. Middleton Railway is accessible here, too. I look forward to coming back to see it fully in bloom.

Used to play golf here and sadly closed a few years back however it is still a lovely walk through the woodland and around the course. Nice wide paths have been cut through the grass to allow walking on the old fairways. Worth a visit whatever the weather and a good cafe too.

Not a bad bike park really needs some local volunteers to help maintain it as it's a bit sketchy in some places due to poor maintenance but it is a free bike park so the people that do look after it do the best they can nice food at cafe and not a bad little bike shop for all your essentials

Bring some bread and feed a duck! - Quack. Bring your bike and go for a ride! or maybe you want to go on the Train? So much to do in Middleton park! Best thing I did here was walk down the train track with my mates and sit under the tunnel when the train wasn't running!

I think Middleton park is great. Lovely cafes. Lots of Woods to walk round a small lake and nice children's playground as well as basketball and tennis areas and outdoor bowling green. There is also a bike park too. I use it every week.

Nice Park with plenty of things for kids to do, all off the equipment is in good condition so safe for kids. Lovely pond to walk round too & feed the duck's on the way to the cafe that's near the pond. Cafe is reasonably priced & nice & clean on warm days you can sit outside which is nice with pond in front of you. There is table tennis tables at the back of the cafe/visitors centre & further up the road/path there is tennis & I think a football court there is also a large grass area for ball games/picnics & lots of walking routes through the woods for people visiting with there dog's or on there bike's.

Absolutely amazing place. Only came across this when hubby started bike riding with group of friends so one day took a trip with my grandson. This park is huge and just spectacular. The bike trials for everyone is amazing and you literally cannot walk around it in a few hours. Great parking free of charge and lovely cafe middle of the road prices but if the west is good bring a picnic. I hidden gem if wanting somewhere to let’s kids run of steam this is the place.

Middleton Park is a beautiful park. Has a lovely little cafe with friendly staff. There's tennis courts, basketball courts, badminton courts, bowling green and plenty of space to play football. There is also bike track and another cafe up at the bike track. There's a good sized pond that has ducks, couts, swans and other birds living on it. Also a good sized children's play park too 🌟

I grew up around here but never get tired of walking around these woods, and with all the effort the local community have put into the park and woods it's a great place to take the family. Friendly, well kept with some lovely walks and good facilities. Not to mention the awesome bike park if you're into cycling.

Leeds Urban Bike Park is an amazing place. Free to use and park, good cafe, links into Middleton Park for a nice walk as well. Courses for all levels of experience. Gets very busy, arrive early. The dog liked the puppycino as well!

Lovely park with plenty of woodland, lots to explore and see. Or even for those who enjoy a peaceful walk, very relaxing and therapeutic walk. There's a little swing on one of the trees in the woods which is good fun for the little ones. Nice little lake and park for the children. However, the ice-cream van is pretty expensive though but aren't most ice-cream vans that are based parks these days? Its a little frustrating for those who have bigger families. But of course, this isn't a major issue.
