Quite a small shopping centre, over 2 floors. Reasonable selection of shops; clothing, mobile phone repairs, cards & gift wrap, toiletries and a couple of places to eat. There is a multi-story car park in the centre, which is quite handy for general shopping in Leeds as its fairly central- however it is quite pricey.

A large shopping centre in Leeds, it houses the Royal mail post office, Macdonald, poundland, body care and some other large and small cosmetic stores…

Good place in heart of Leeds. Pound Shop, body care and Post Office 🏤 are useful due to location.

John Lewis Market in Leeds city centre is a reliable shopping destination. The mall's layout is well-organized, making it easy to navigate through a diverse range of stores. The staff is friendly. Whether shopping for household items or fashion, John Lewis offers quality and style. A dependable choice for a satisfying retail experience in the heart of Leeds.

Only walked in for HMV to see if FBI Season 5 was available on dvd. I also picked up some trainers from Sump, other than I usually just walk through.

Not bad but increasingly more and more basic, Poundland, Card Factory, Bodycare etc. For me, more of a place to cut through to keep dry when it's raining. Main Post Office and a crazy busy McDonalds.

Easily accessible with mix of retail shops. There's something for everyone. A bit pricy though. Check it out.

  • 5/5 Paul B. 1 year ago on Google
Busy as always but plenty of shops plus everyman cinema. Just missing something like hmv or virgin mega stores then it would be complete.

Old and tatty. Full of workshop areas and bits of antique type shops. Toilets only on ground floor. Only disabled access to all floors from one part of building. Terrible.

Wide range of shops and facilities. The food court with the independent different vendors make this place worth the trip

Don't bloody park here, Christ on a bike it was expensive, wasn't there that long and it came to £15.50! FIFTEEN POUNDS & FIFTY PENCE! I know it's city centre parking but that's just having folks pants down

Good but it needs more of the pop up boutiques and less of the samey clothes shops. 3 shops all selling £5.99 clothing and all owned by the same person. Could benefit from a jewellers and a shoe shop again.

The St John's Centre used to be a decent little shopping centre with a good variety of top brand shops but it's gone downhill that much the Merrion Centre is now a better shopping centre with a better range of shops and it used to be the other way around so it's a shame its going the way it is but it seems to be the way most city centres are becoming - vacant and derelict...

It is amazing, you can donate your old books or interchange with other. The free library is close to McDonald's.

There is a fantastic variety of shops the main problem outside of the entrance is people begging for money that are absolutely drunk and very abusive to passers-by that do not donate any money or cigarettes to them and nobody seems to do anything about it and was told by security that cannot do anything because they are not inside the shopping centre inside the shopping centre absolutely excellent

Great choice of clothes in a wide range of styles, colours and sizes. Friendly and very helpful staff.

Sad how this place has gone downhill in the last 15 years. Before Trinity shopping centre opened, St Johns centre was a very vibrant place, full of big brand retail companies, but now these days it is home to small independent retailers and has no atmosphere at all anymore.

Like any other shopping centre there are no toilets there which let it down. We had to take my grandson out of St Johns Centre and go to MC Donald's for the toilet...

A decent little shopping centre, though it does feel its age. Could do with a little modernising but it has plenty of shops and is always nice and clean. A good option for a little browse, especially when the weather isn't as good as it's all indoors.

Actually I think st john center is a potential center very suitable for the geek, specialist in card game, anime, cartoon, comics crossplay, model stuff, sports things. The location is not bad but need organising and decorating. What is more important is management of types of shops, such as giving discount on rent to attract similar shops gather to form a fashion culture. HMV is good and if forbidden planet is moved next to it, it will be excellent. Some 1 to 1 figure sculpture such as ironman for Instagram is also a selling point. Go to Merron center to rub one.😂 Mcdonald is an excellent restaurant and lots of fast food shop nearby. But if a floor of food court of small independence food stall at the upper floor? Just like ardnale market in Manchester. japanese street food, bubble tea, Mexican food in ardnale market, the Vietnamese food and turkish food in core shopping mall? Are they interested?

Not what it use to be but still not bad. Quite a few cheap shops which is good mixed in with some of your better known stores.

It's a good shopping spot, but there are homeless people all around wherever you go.

  • 2/5 Darren W. 4 months ago on Google
It's dirty and full of tacky shops, the only decent shop worth visiting is Poundland!

Standard shopping centre not that exciting but good through connection from the Merrion Centre to the top of the main shopping area of Leeds.

  • 3/5 Paul G. 5 months ago on Google
it is looking old now, a couple of good shops but feels like it needs some TLC.

  • 3/5 siew p. 1 year ago on Google
Rather quiet even for a Sunday. The hot weather is probably keeping people indoors or they've gone out to spend time in the sun. More noticeable is the number of vacant lots due to businesses that have shut down since covid. It would be a shame as Leeds have a plethora of shops of different quality and prices that would suit all types of shoppers.

Nice little shopping centre, no free toilets you have to pay 20p per person. Nice and clean and at this time of year very festive. Staff around are very helpful and friendly. Shops in different levels.

Always a pleasant place to shop, could do with a few more shops in there but genuinely a good place to pass through, eat and shop

Good centre just a shame so many empty shops

One of the many shopping arcades in Leeds City centre. This arcade caters more towards the value for money end of the market. Parking available. #disability Toilets on Upper floor. Disabled toilet available. Radar Access key needed. No charge for disabled toilets (small charge for other loos)

  • 3/5 Charlie B. 2 years ago on Google
Nice range of shops, acceptable level of cleanliness and a rather friendly cleaner. Staff around the shops and centre are helpful. Rather obscure disabled ramp however which is a little steep but all in all not a bad place.

Fairly average little shopping centre. Looks a little bit old fashioned but is pleasant enough.

Lovely shopping experience to be had with your friends, family or loved one

I mainly used this place to park my car for the hour. The centre itself was very clean and very quiet. I did have a quick look at some of the stores. There was empty units which I suppose is to be expected because of the recession/ covid. More action need to be injected into the centre to attract more people.

Plenty of shops here to keep you occupied. The Card Factory they have here is brilliant! Didn't stop chuckling looking through the humorous birthday card selection! Great stuff! 👍

It’s okay, you’ve got couple shops in there, cheap clothes shops, I mean £5. You’ve got MCDonalds as well, but the best thing is the toilet, it used to be paid £0.20 but now is free cos barrier is broken! 😅

Up in Leeds on business. Visited St Johns Centre. It had a variety of shops that are not where i live. So it was nice to have a browse round something different. Quite a big Herron Food shop.

Daughter bought several items from Yours. Great selection and prices reasonable. Spent around £400 and the staff hardly spoke! No conversation at all - we tried. We left and had to repeat our Thank you and Bye before the girl actually said bye. Not good service at all.

Decent small shopping area. Pop up shops, affordable clothing, cafe, Poundland etc. Toilets do need a bit of a makeover though. Not bad overall.

  • 2/5 Joseph B. 2 years ago on Google
Not the best shopping centre in Leeds. The centre is rather dated now and despite attempts to attract more people here it is still lacking an ambience. I found I only come here as a cut through to the Merrion centre or to visit the food venues on the outside of the shopping centre. I think if more was done to attract relevant shops, it would be a good contender for the Merrion centre. Toilets aren't free also which detracts from the place.

Love this centre, it's light and airy, has a nice range of shops, a big post office and free toilets. Escalators and a lift I believe.
