Good food. Excellent hospitality. Starters were unique and amazing and the menu is curated by Venkatesh Bhat. Main course was normal like any other places. Costs 1200 Rs per person and if you are staying in Accord you get 20% discount.

Undoubtedly one of the best and unique veg fine dining experience....starters were very good, limited but tasty main course and plenty of deserts. Starters, welcome drink and soup served on the table. Had the opportunity to meet Bhat sir too. Please check before you go here as they are open only on Friday, Saturday and Sunday

One of those few places on my list that was saved up a long time ago and had the chance to visit after years. Located inside the Accord Hotel, Royal Indiana is one of those pure veg places that serve authentic veg starters, main courses, and desserts in buffet style. Some visit for their grand decor while others visit to try out the dishes of the renowned chef Venkatesh Bhat. 🤗 As you enter, valet parking takes care of the hassle and all we have to do is to reach L2 in the building. It is a quaint place with limited seating but the decor speaks for itself. It was classy, well-lit with South Indian embellishments and live Carnatic music to soothe our ears. The service was courteous with the team serving us a chocolate ganache on the house at the end owing to our special day. ❤️❤️ It was Nannari Sharbath for the welcome drink while Banana stem pepper chaaru for soup which was super smooth and very peppery. Moving on, it was Pumpkin Galouti Kebab with a burst of flavors all around Ajwani Paneer tikka - Super soft marinated paneer with an amazing aroma Kara paniyaram - Not the best but tender on the inside and went perfectly with the peanut chutney Veg cutlet - Beautifully minced veggies straight from the kitchen; had the perfect blend of sour and spice Pineapple porichadu - My sweet tooth cravings never stop; pineapple coated in sweet batter and glazed with sweet sugar syrup, this was crunchy, sweet, hot, and soft, PERFECT Corn adai - A bit plain from the corn but OK For the main course, we tried Bhat's special Sambar, Rasam, and Vendhaya Kozhambu. While the Sambar was so good, the rasam and kozhambu were out of this world. Soupy rasam and spicy kozhambu MUST TRY with their steamed rice Urulai veppudu - Well-fried potatoes sauteed in ground SI spices accompanied well with the rice and gravies Kothamira annam - Coriander flavored rice (variety rice), unique, and with the Gobi adraki (very soft and well cooked), this was pretty GOOD Subzi Biryani was full of aroma and fragrance from the authentic herbs; this bonded very well with the soupy Palak mushroom (Very healthy) To end up the meal with, it was Semiya custard payasam - OH WOW, not so sweet but so damn thick from the custard, AMAZING taste Chocolate Horlicks Mysore pak - Very buttery and sweet, though the flavor was not evident, this was soft and good Brownie - Couldn't believe that this was soft though it wasn't hot, Loved it Pineapple pastry - Puff pastry stuffed with sweet sauce and pineapple, not the best but OK Finally, the buffet price was a bit on the higher side but in recent times there are many coupons and offers everywhere which you could use to cut down a bit. 🥰🥰

We visited here for with our family for the afternoon weekend buffet lunch. They started with a welcome drink and then followed by 6 starters served in table. All the starters are really good. Then plenty of main course options south indian, north indian dishes. Lot and lots of deserts, followed by ice cream with refruits and payasam. Finally Beeda as well. Optionally they will serve goli soda (Paneer, Orange). Overall it’s a great experience and worth for the money spent..

Don’t know where to start,Had huge recommendations for quality food. But to dismay everything was bad here when I visited last night. Reception was lowsy-may be we ventured around 9. Starters were so so,Main course sambar had no taste whatsoever, not much variety in Desert.May be lunch buffet would be better.Customer service was par below average had to call and ask for stuff several times which is bad for a boutique hotel.Overall very bad experience and it killed the excitement of visiting this place.Just a waste of time and money.

This place is a must try for people who enjoy and relish proper vegetarian food. The menu was combination of South Indian and north indian cuisine. We had soup, 6 starters and variety of main course to choose from. There was live carnatic music as well which was very nice and enjoyable. Each and every item on the menu was really delicious. We loved the soup which was valazithandu and parupu chaaru which was beautiful. Overall it was worth the try here. Please do not expect any fancy dishes here but come here if you really appreciate the food and taste!

The restaurant is located in the Accord Metropolitan hotel level one floor. The restaurant is small in size but the seats are spaciously arranged. We had the buffet. It is a complete vegetarian affair. The menu was great. It had some of Chef Bhatt's signature dishes. The Theeyal was phenomenal. The service was good but would say not exemplary. I had to wait and call for assistance couple of times. The desserts were not as good as the main course and starters. The hotel ambience was great but the restrooms were sub par not a five star hotel level. Great choice for a complete vegetarian buffet.

Decent food but not worth the price. Understaffed. Slow service. Courteous staff. Washrooms not very clean. Cramped at places. Not very happy with the overall experience. Might not return for dine in experience.

I recently had the pleasure of dining at Royal Indiana Restaurant with our group of 30 . I must say, it exceeded all expectations! The elegant decor, coupled with soft lighting and soothing music, created the perfect ambiance for a memorable dining experience. But what truly set Royal Indiana apart was its exceptional service. The staff were attentive, friendly, and went above and beyond to ensure that every aspect of our dining experience was perfect. Their attention to detail was truly commendable. Each dish was bursting with flavor, prepared with fresh ingredients and expertly seasoned. Overall, I cannot recommend Royal Indiana Restaurant highly enough. With its fantastic ambiance, top-notch service, and mouthwatering cuisine, it's the perfect spot for a memorable dining experience. Whether you're celebrating a special occasion or simply craving authentic Indian cuisine, be sure to make a reservation at Royal Indiana - you won't be disappointed!

Best Indian vegetarian buffet in town. Food was top notch and so the service. Jackfruit biriyani was too good. And so the desserts. There was a live light music which made the entire experience wholesome. Will definitely visit again.

There is invariably a common dilemma for the Star hotels in India. How to make the food Foreigner friendly and at the same time locals would also visit. Not too spicy but tasty! Of course a difficult situation. Royal Indianaa Restaurant, in the Five Star Hotel Accord located at Gopathi Narayana Swamy Road, Chennai successfully overcomes this challenge and presents a delicious buffet to the connoisseur of food. Like every Star hotel menu it has good Soup, Starters, main dish with local South Indian varieties like rice, Sambhar, rasam, Vattha kuzhambu, North Indian bread varieties like Naan, Roti, parothas, with number of mouthwatering side dishes, continental items, good amount of desserts including sweets, cakes, kheers that bring cheers, Dosa, Vada etc ending with three ice-cream varieties. As we went on a day which was celebrated as World Idli day, we had different varieties of idlies like, ragi idly, fried idli, carrot idli to name a few, with traditional idlies and matching chutneys, sambhar, chilli-dal powder etc. It was a sumptuous feast in an excellent ambience, with good servings at table and counters. The staff were friendly, courteous and helpful. The dining hall is sufficiently large and as expected seats, table lay out and approach to counters were very good. Walls are nicely decorated with paintings and sculptures. The buffet was nominally priced, less than Rs.1000/-. It's pure vegetarian too! Valet car parking is available and the restaurant accepts cards. Recommended for enjoyable dining!

Outstanding veg food with great spread. Icecreams were plain flavours with less toppings, we expected "creation icecreams" Spoons were not sufficient when we went for dining. The management should look into it next time . Otherwise a fantastic place for veg ppl

Excellent evening at the restaurant. While not knowing what to expect for the cuisine, was so pleasantly surprised with the array of dishes that were unique in culinary experience. From starters to desserts was choiceful and satisfying. Service was impeccable by Arpan. Thank you for a wonderful experience.

I went for lunch on a weekday. No buffet or a la carte - only fixed menu thali. Limited starters and desserts. But, taste wise, it was very good and easy to stomach. Coconut rice and vendhaya kulambu were particularly good. Ambience was good too.

This was my first time here and the last time as well. Service was non existent. No one refilled water, nor asked if more breads were needed etc. Items were not refilled in the buffet (during entire 1 Hr duration). Food was underwhelming too. I have had better food in lesser places. Desserts were brilliant though. I don't know of any other so called 5 star hotel with such a bad experience. Came in because of the celebrity chef. Leaving because of bad food and horrible service.

Overall the food quality and the service are good. dessert spread was extremely good. Starters were excellent. Preparation of the most of the food was good, but for two exceptions. One is the ullhi theeyal. It was really bad. They don't know how to prepare. My wife is from Trivandrum. She knows how to make and the taste. Carrot halwa consistency was bad. We make better carrot halwa Taste was ok. We had our buffet on 2nd October 2021.

Amazing food! Every course was thoughtfully curated. The broccoli Adai is awesome! I would have gone for an extra serving but I had to leave room for the main course… Came here on a Tuesday and discovered this Jewel of a Place. I think I’ve found my new favourite haunt for great vegetarian Indian food

I am not usually a fan of buffets, and I'm a big fan of meats. But Indianaa at the royal Accord is an absolute exception for how exceptional it is with the cuisine. You are greeted with seven starters to your table, a soup, a drink and give other small bites, each of different flavours, setting a path as to the experience that you shall indulge yourself in with the buffet. The only way I could describe the taste of certain menu items, namely the Barista subzi biriyani, the jackfruit biriyani, the murungakkaa payaa is, that they have nailed the flavours of their non vegetarian counterparts more than actual meat included recipies would do. And when you see 'Chef's special' ok the placards, just go for it, you wouldn't regret doing so. And the best part was the price point, for food so innovative, flavourful and rich, this buffet is really affordable and enjoyable for everyone. Special shoutout to our waiter for the evening Mr Ramachandran, restaurant manager Kadal Murugan, head chef Dinesh and the man behind the entire operation, chef Venkatesh Bhat

Superb food, wonderful vegetarian buffet with friendly and caring staff. A welcome drink is followed by soup and a series of 8 different starter dishes. The main course's buffet has a massive spread of authentic indian food along with freshly readied bread. The dessert table is a wonderland of it's own with an amazing assortment of sweets and delicacies. The experience finishes with an offering of mallippoo and veththalai paakku. The chef came in sometime in between to chat, wonderful person who is ready to go above and beyond to ensure a great dining experience. Would strongly recommend.

It's a vegetarian restaurant. And only thing available is vegetables. Authentic South Indian vegetarian shop. Less items with paneer. Also for poori they put palak. They could have green peas Kachuri instead. Only one option for complementary drink. I went with a pretty big group. Vegetarian people liked it very much but for non veg people it's a big no no. It would be better to have good options for ice cream at least.

We wanted to try out the buffet during weekdays. Unfortunately or fortunately we ended up being there during Onam. The starter and main course were packed with Onam delicacies. Original and tasty. For those who are not comfortable with the Kerala red rice (part of the onam tradition), white rice was also available. The usual desserts along with Onam speciality, pradaman was available. Good food, great ambience, fantastic service.
