😠 Very awful place. The last review is true, mosquito nets are broken and food is bad. Many of the other guests thought the staff didn’t care about us. I had different activities on different days so was passed between groups. On one of them the guide didn’t speak English and literally cut down a tree... People often mention guide, great, experience, lodge, tour, staff, pool, recommend, stay, good,

Very awful place. The last review is true, mosquito nets are broken and food is bad. Many of the other guests thought the staff didn’t care about us. I had different activities on different days so was passed between groups. On one of them the guide didn’t speak English and literally cut down a tree in the national reserve which I don’t think is allowed. For my last day I had fishing on a boat and kayaking. For the kayaking they put me on a 2 person kayak alone and told me to kayak up river (which was very hard) I turned back but the force of the water was too fast and I almost went plummeting down the rest of the river but luckily grabbed onto one of the boats by the shore. I then later saw another group kayaking which made me wonder why I couldn’t have gone with them? The fishing on the last day was just off the side of the bank and not in a boat with a group like I was promised and consisted of the same non English speaking guide just catching fish and not putting them back and taking them for himself. I would not recommend this place at all it’s the most awful place I’ve been to in Peru. Got to add that our guide at the second lodge(Luis) was fantastic, apart from that the expierience was very bad

Monte amazónico is the lodge offered by the agency “Carlos Expeditions” whenever you book any tour with them. We do not recommend this place, considering some elements: - cleanliness: very very low quality of cleanliness. The common toilets in the eating area have not been cleaned in the whole stay. See pictures to understand how bad it was. - mosquito protection: considering you’re in the forest, mosquito nets are quite essential. Ours had big holes in it that were “fixed” with toilet paper. - food: food in peru is amazing, but not here. It was very low quality (eg. Super hard meat, rotten fruit as dessert). We didn’t let this ruin our experience, the amazon forest is truly an amazing place but considering the price we cannot recommend this place.

I did the 3D/2N tour, the experience was really great, i can definetly recommend it. My guide was Fernando, he was really awesome, could answer every question and tried to get the most out of it for me. We have been incredibly lucky, it is nature and there are wild animals so you migth not see everything. In my case we saw : caimans, giant river otters, different monkeys, a lot of birds, tarantulas, frogs, so many different animals and plants. The accomendation was simple but comfortable, there is also a pool, billiard and soccer table. The food was really delicious and plenty. As i said great experience and big recommendation. Thank you Fernando!

We had such a great time at the lodge and I am shocked by the bad reviews here. The bungalow we stayed in was huge and pretty, the food was great and the staff super friendly and helpful! We stayed for three nights and had different meals everytime. The dining room was constantly cleaned by the staff. I never once thought that it was dirty. The tours were great as well (we booked the entire stay through Carlos Expeditions before what seems to be much cheaper than booking the lodge and activities seperately). Me and my partner loved everything about it!!!

I had a nice time at the Lodge. I liked: - A lot of walking - The food is very tasty - The great last breakfast - The flexibility with my departure - The laid back atmosphere - The swimming pool I didn’t like: - Feeding the animals - Triggering the spiders (leave them alone) - Catching the caimans (same) - Small lunch, big diner - The Guides are not very good ones. I met MUCH better ones in another lodge. - The paint stains in my bathroom Can do better but is nice :)

What we paid for was not what we got!! They couldn't accommodate our last day, so instead of refunding us, they put us up in a hotel in Puerto Maldonado. A tiny room for 3 of us no windows or air-conditioning and didn't provide any of the food we had pre paid for the tour we booked. I thought this was very poorly organisation. The communication was average. I waited around in the main area to find out what activities we were doing and never got notified for one day so missed out on the morning activity. The mosquito nets were damaged and our toilet seat was broken as well, simple things could have made a massive turn around

This was a great experience overall. Our guide franki was very informative and friendly. The food was healthy. Our biggest problem during our stay was the extreme heat and humidity. Rooms have no fans. Afternoons don't have planned activities around 1pm to 5 pm .this is the time the rooms are like a furnace and so is everything else around.

Did a 4 nights 5 days trip here (could have been 3 nights 4 days; but the highlight was the guide : Ronal was amazing I’d ask for him if you can, English speaking guide with vast experience and great knowledge plus fun too! Saw a Jaguar and so much more Book it but ask for him!

This tour was absolutely amazing from start to finish! Our guide Marcos was the best - his knowledge on all of the Amazonian wild life was incredible and really made sure we saw as much as possible! The lodge grounds were beautiful with a lovely pool to cool down in after a day of hiking, kayaking and zip-lining! And the food!! 3 delicious meals per day! Highly recommended this tour as a once in a lifetime experience of the Amazon rainforest The McGees

Very Good! The Guides are awsome! With one we have been on a nightwalk and were at the macaw clay lick, he showed us also howler monkeys, capybaras, sloths... etc Than we changed lodges and went to the second were we have been on monkey island, at a cayman search and our absolut favourit the lake Sandoval! So i highly recommend the tours! I also highly recommend to talk things out at the office... we could not go on a tour cause some other tourists got a fly delay, the guy at the office than gave us a discount for another tour! Dont expect to see jaguar here, the area is to busy and you have to go much deeper into the jungle! The guy at the office sayed its a 3-7 out of 10 chance, depends on the tours you booked. I have been on a lot safaris so fare, drove there on my own or with guide... i guess the chance is about 1 out of 100 if you took the macaw clay lick.

We just finished 4 days at the lodge which offered an authentic and unforgettable experience of the Peruvian jungle! Shout out to Fernando who was our knowledgeable guide and spoke excellent English. Fernando provided us with excellent wildlife sightings and we were able to spot howler monkeys, squirrel monkeys, many birds, rodents, tarantulas, and more. This truly highlights the rich biodiversity of the region. Overall, Monte Amazonica Lodge provides a wonderful and immersive experience of the jungle, with excellent guides and exciting activities. The food was basic but still very good and the staff were very accomodating. We asked to switch rooms to be closer to the pool and that same day they were able to move us. Thanks for a great stay!

Unfortunately, it's hard for me to rate my stay in Monte Amazonico. I don't know what happened to the pool, whether it was dirt or chemicals, but the water in the pool dyed my and my boyfriend's bathing suit. To make matters worse, the pool water also dyed my blonde hair green! I don't have dyed hair, I'm a natural blonde, so I was particularly affected. swimsuits still have green stains after washing, not to mention my green hair. A visit to the hairdresser and the cost of a bikini is half the price of the trip..

Monte Amazónico is one of the best places to get a taste of the jungle in Peru. The Amazon Rainforest is the most diverse region in the world. It produces 20% of the world’s oxygen and is home to 20% of the world’s river water. With 40,000 different plant species and approximately 2.5 million insect species, it’s no wonder why it’s one of the most visited places in South America.

Very good guide "Paulo", was there 3d/2n and can't understand the bad reviews at all. The tours were great (sometimes you are lucky, sometimes unlucky with the animals). The food was well balanced and good for the location and price. The accommodation very clean, the mosquito net perfect. Sometimes I wonder what people expect for this price? If that's not enough, get a luxury lodge for four times the price (with the same tours). To be fair I think 1 day more isn’t really worth it

We really enjoyed our stay here. We missed our bus to get to puerto Maldonado and they agreed to reschedule even though they didn't have to. It was a birthday present for my son and our last weekend in Peru so he would have been very disappointed if we didn't make it to the amazon. The lodge was beautiful and had a nice pool to cool down in as it gets hot there. Great guides! I also don't understand the bad reviews. The food is basic but good. I didn't see piles of garbage and our room was very spacious and clean. The value for what we paid was amazing.

(Translated by Google) Excellent attention from the guides and staff, they could try a little more in the meals, since Peru has talent and a very high bar in terms of cuisine. Highly recommended to live an unforgettable experience !!!! Our guide was great, the scenery was beautiful and they were able to accommodate me as a vegan. Really nice to unplug for a few days and just experience nature.

Good position. Poor service (ceiling light did not work inside the room, it was easy to fix it, we called the staff but no one did the work; pillow unusable, asked for a better one...they did not give us). No extreme adventures.

(Translated by Google) Dilapidated, unprofessional and dirty, the guides have no qualms about taking a young alligator out of the water by the braves just to be photographed. Upon arriving we discovered that the bathroom in the common area was very, very dirty, and next to it were the buckets with the laundry (?). Old poorly supported panels separate the dining room from the kitchen. Already in the rooms, everything is done without taste or care: paint splashes in the bathrooms with half-painted panels, useless shower curtain ... We already knew that in the jungle there is humidity, mud and insects, it was not our first time, but it gives the feeling that there is no kind of affection in the management of this place.

Fabulous setting- excellent food - incredible staff and awesome excursions with exceptionally knowledgeable guides! Urmila in Puerto Maldonado was helpful in scheduling our lodging and transportation. Guimarldo was an incredibly patient and knowledgeable guide. Daniel was a great manager at lodge - the grounds were immaculate, the dining was awesome and there was something for everyone. If you require hot showers and unlimited electricity you may want to consider another setting.

(Translated by Google) Taking into account that they are in the middle of the jungle, without electricity most of the time and with minimal services, the place is wonderful and shabby. The pool is reasonable and the rooms have the basics and are clean. I would just ask for some more cleaning in the bathroom, despite the limitations. Very friendly staff (Original) Teniendo en cuenta que estån en mitad de la selva, sin electricidad la mayor parte del tiempo y con unos servicios mínimos, el lugar es maravilloso y asalvajado. 👍👍 I can’t say enough good things about this tour!! It was world-class. Thoroughly planned from start to finish. Our guide, Freddie, was so knowledgeable and helpful. He really wanted us to have a good time. He taught us so much and worked hard to find the coolest wildlife. The food was spectacular- so...
