Food is good, 90% of the crowd are 65+ so don’t expect any entertainment or parties at night. During the day there isn’t anything going on in terms of games or animation. The beach is beautiful but constantly windy due to the location. The staff clearly cater to the their loyal returning customers, not the greatest I’ve witnessed. Our washroom had a pipe leak and they sent a plumber to fix it 5 times but never managed to stop the leak, they were very quick to give us another room without hesitation. We are a family of 10 so we entertain each other but we would not return to this resort individually.

Place is nice. Outside area is comfortable, pools are nice. Beach is beautiful. Staff are nice. Rooms need upgrading. Beds are not comfortable. Bathroom needs updates too. Toilet handle is getting oxidation and so is the bathtub handle. Bathroom towels are stained. If all that changes, I would stay again.

A great resort for couples and families looking for an all inclusive getaway. The staff and management are friendly and attentive to guest’s needs. The entertainment options are a bit lacking in terms of variety. However, they do their best to please and keep guests engaged. The food is generally satisfactory, but a free small touches could elevate this review to a five stars. Meat and fish is generally overcooked, the pizza dough has a sweet flavor and should not use precooked crusts if possible. Halal and kosher options would be great.

Pros:. The location is perfect, beaches are great and the service is very nice as well. Cons: The resort is not perfect, needs some upkeep/maintenance. The drinks are not very strong and made with cheap liquor. The food is a 3/10. Not alot of variety, bland, and dry. Also, the food made your stomach upset. Would recommend if you don't care about food quality/feeling sick.

Honestly a very good resort. The food was amazing, the rooms were as pictured and the staff were LOVELY. There was one staff member in particular, Juan Carlos, who truly went above and beyond for my friend group. There were 11 of us and one of my friends ended up hurting her foot during our stay. He literally carried her onto a golf cart to go get it checked. He checked in with us all days of our stay and just had conversations and checked in. He was beyond sweet and so helpful. Really great experience and would definitely go recommend.

It is a very beautiful resort. Sadly there are a number of issues that need to be improved: 1. Our First four days, the toilet was not working. We had to fill the tank manually so we can flush. Also cold water from the shower is just trickling like droplets of rain. Hot water overcomes the cold. We had to take a bath filling a plastic container with water from the faucet in the bath tub. It took a long time to get out of the shower room; 2. This situation went on for four days. We reported the issues to the front desk everyday. We had to go to the front desk in person as the phone was not working as well. No success ! 3. Two maintenance people came just acknowledging the problems but no solutions implemented whatsoever. Four days no solution whatsoever! 4. After the fourth day, we were given a new room. Great! Water flowing and we had a great shower and both cold and hot waters were working properly. Again TV and telephone never worked! But we did not need the TV. Phone might have been an issue in case of emergency. 5. The handrail on the stairwell immediately adjoining our room has been detached and not properly anchored. It is an accident waiting to happen. 6. Food on a scale of 1 to 10 is roughly a 3 at best in my own judgment. I saw same dish served which was leftover from the lunch day before. 7. Beach area is clean and properly kept. 8. Entertainment brutally sucked! Nothing entertaining at all. 9. Kitchen people, bartenders and other attendants are all polite. No complaints here. We tipped them really well. We made a lot of friends. 10. City tour was good. Thanks to Hilario and Justo. Well done. 11. Check out was 12:00 PM Friday, we however, were allowed to stay till 5:00 PM. for free. Thank you. 12. On the other hand, they charged my brother an extra $50 for extension from 12-5 PM. 13. We managed to dine at the Italian restaurant. Not bad. However, we were unable to book reservations at the other restaurants as they are ALL FULLY BOOKED!......one is open only twice a week. What gives? 14. This is a constructive criticism. Our OWN personal experience. Thank you.

The place is very beautiful. Beach is amazing. The attentions not so great. Staff is friendly but lacked attention and customer service. It felt like no one wanted to be there and work. I have been to many resorts and the attention is by far so much better. I was at a different one about a year ago right next to this one and the attentions were so much better. I am of Dominican descent and its a shame that I can’t even Bragg about the attentions. I hope they improve their service. Tourism is one of the main sources of income in the island. Customer service should be the main attention. It’s the only to keep people happy and coming back.

My family and I stayed here boxing day till new years. Overall I had a great time and would recommend this resort. Below is my breakdown: Grounds - The place is well kept and clean. There was some garbage on the beach but I think it washed up from the ocean nothing major. No bugs in the room ( which my wife and daughter appreciated ) I was impressed. Staff - Professional, helpful, courteous. From our concierge to the cleaning staff to the bartenders. I had no issues with any staff. Rooms - clean. Bed was better than most resorts I've been in. Bathroom was clean. I had a problem with my toilet, but they fixed it promptly. Food - It's a resort. You will get resort food. My only gripe was as a vegetarian there was not many options. I could go on but basically my family and i had a great time. I would recommend this resort

Very limited alcohol selection. Drink cans of presidente and Brugal. Food is quite good. Staff is great. The resort staff is excellent when it comes to the hygiene of the place. But, there is one problem. I ended up paying more than US$100 because I made the reservation through bookings.com and not directly with them. Even though, they admitted that they work with bookings.com, go figure. I won't be back, however, it is a good resort to spend one night, if you couldn't find another option in the area.

Overall, customer service was decent. The workers were generally really nice. Beware of the all inclusive because it really isn’t. We got removed from a seating area in the beach that had umbrellas because we didn’t have VIP status even tho we had been sitting at the same area all week before being told we needed to upgrade our package. The food was terrible. Stale fries, cold entrees, and hard bread. No options for vegans. Flies everywhere landing on the food. They don’t cover the salads, fruits, fries and bread. If they did, it would prevent the issue with the flies. Very unsanitary and gross 🤢. I was turned off by their inability to cover the food properly and even though I expressed this to them, they found excuses to keep food uncovered. Locals swarm the hotel on the weekends with their families. Very loud and rowdy. It seems they go for the unlimited beer and drinks and stay in the pool for hours drinking without going to the rest room. Clearly relieving themselves in the pool. Something needs to be done about this. Also, we went without water for an entire night because it suddenly stopped working. There’s only one working pool table and to play ping pong, you’re told you must wear sneakers and not sandals. Women’s re allowed to walk into the eating area with bikinis but men are forced to wear t shirts instead of tank tops if they want to sit and eat. Too May regulations that don’t make sense. Oh and if you want to leave the resort to go out to the city, it’s a $40 taxi ride one way. Ubers are not allowed on the premises. Taxis have a monopoly in that area. Will not go back in a million years. Please beware.

A wonderful 10 days at this resort and could not say enough great things about our time there. Greeted promptly with a very efficient and quick check in within 5 minutes of arrival, and were in our room in about in 20 minutes. The safety protocols were in full force during our stay and the majority of guests ( 95 % + ) followed all the small rules put in place for safety of guests and staff. The resort itself was spotless at all times with consistent cleaning all over the resort from the beach to to the lobby, hallways etc. While the pool bar was not open there was 3 locations to pick up drinks throughout and executed flawlessly by a bartending crew that always had a smile on there face. The drink of the day was a big hit with a lot of people there The food was better the great !!! it would be putting an insult to all the chefs and cooks on a daily basis with a great selection of food at the buffet every night for everyone ( sorry if you complain about the food here ,you better give your head a shake!!) as you have to keep in mind that we are in a COVID situation and there are supply chain problems everywhere but the daily selection along with the theme nights selections were outstanding With limited guests there, a great shoutout to the animation crew to get people involved in the daily activities as they did there very best during the day and at night with the small amount of people there A special bonus every week is the manager of the resort Oscar Lora having a local Dominican dance celebration and an opportunity of meeting him but his incredible team from management to the everyday workers of the Gran Ventana While the resort was not running at full capacity the staff was and I know that just talking to other people there their would be no way they thought it would of been not just good but also exceeded their expectations also The beach was outstanding as was the weather from how clean the grounds were but like the pool never had to worry about finding a lounge chair at anytime of the day Since there are limited guests you will see the same vendors on the beach 4-5 X a day approaching you and a polite no thank you is all that is required, keep in mind that this their living selling things/products that they mean well and are always polite themselves An added bonus upon our trip was that the hotel is now doing PCR tests and Antigen in the hotel 6 days a week at a price that is the same as other outside locations ( PLEASE DO NOT use the medical center off site from the hotel, we heard and saw personally ,too many horror stories about test results from the medical center. The resort has absolutely no control over regarding false positive tests) All in all a great vacation and I am already booked for April 2021 for another 2 weeks at the same place

It is a nice smaller resort which we really like. It’s is clean and the staff are very nice. The only draw back to this resort is that they allow the locals to come in on the weekends. This is totally unacceptable. They come in and show no respect or consideration to the tourists. They took over the resort and seemed to be able to do as they please. Unless this type of thing doesn’t bother you I would not recommend coming here.

First time at an all inclusive and it was just okay. Entertainment sucked at this resort. Weekends are over crowded with locals that are rude and pushy in pools and at buffets. Also felt that the resort workers gave preferential treatment to locals…eg…booked for the Italian restaurant and when we got there I asked if we can be inside and they said sorry your table is outside as it’s for 7 people this one inside is for 6…2 minutes locals come in and have that table inside and it’s now set up for 7…Another example …went to get towels for the pool was told needed to wait 10 min for some….then all of a few minutes later locals show up and they gave them towels. Employees at the bars for very nice and very pleasant. Internet is horrible at this resort. All in all I don’t think I’ll book this resort again

Everyone was very friendly. Food was pretty good and the resort is kept spotlessly clean. We upgraded to the premium package and it was really worth it. I really enjoyed the vibe of the vintage club, and the cappuccinos were perfect in the morning. Friends just had regular and we could really see the difference in service and options. Loved the premium beach area, the gentleman serving drinks were super awesome and very nice to my kids. I will be honest and say the people selling on the beach got very annoying. Like you can be laying there relaxing and someone pops up beside you. Most are lovely people when you talk with them, but it made it hard to fully relax. I really liked the Buffet area, open concept and lots of breeze. I didn't enjoy the ala carte because I felt to close to other people, which is a stressful feeling right now! We had older kids and I felt safe letting them do their own thing around the resort. It was just the right size for us to be comfortable that they would not be too far away if they needed us. They would hang out at the beach or by the games area. Our room 1121 was comfortable, on the main floor and perfect location IMO. You can see a bit of the ocean if you are standing on the patio. The AC does leak a bit, but I just put a towel down when we noticed. Housekeeping came everyday and didn't great job. Our beach towels were also replaced everyday as part of the premium package. I'm not sure if I will travel anytime soon, but when COVID calms down I will definitely try to return here. I wish the friendly people at this resort nothing but the best and thank them for their kindness and friendly smiles.

We stayed at this resort for a week in January 2023. Wonderful place. Extremely clean, very friendly staff, amazing food. Every morning you can see the staff go around the resort, cleaning the pools, raking the yards, cleaning and scrubbing all the outside floors. They even have a team that goes around the beach and picks up all the algae that washes up on the beach during the night. Clean and spacious room. We had a regular room ( what they call superior). Bottled water, pop and beer refilled in the room everyday. Food and buffet was my biggest surprise. Food here was amazing. Great variety for everyone. The water and ice are made with bottled water, so no issues at all there. Great activities and animation everyday by the main pool : Dance classes, volleyball games, Zumba, karaoke, African dance shows, bingo, etc…. Staff extremely friendly. Whether you are talking to a bartender, server at a restaurant, maintenance, security, maid…. Everyone was extremely nice and they pretty much all spoke French, English and Spanish.

Fantastic beach, great service and really helpful staff (Thank You!). Restaurants are really good and food is for the most well prepared and tasty (OK, for us from northern Europe a pinch more salt might be needed...). Shopping center nearby where You can shop mandatory souvenirs... And don't forget a bottle of 'Mamajuana'! ;-)

Gran Ventana was a very nice resort and I would recommend it. The staff were nice, the food was good, the rooms were clean, there were a lot of activities that you could do throughout the day, they had free wifi available, and a free safe in the room. Some things that the resort needs to improve on is to add a volleyball net on the beach by the resort... There was only a volleyball net by the pool and it was always busy. Even though someone would clean the pool in the morning, there would be bird poop floating around, so someone should be cleaning the pool multiples times a day. I asked on 2 seperate occasions at reception for something (an extra pillow and water bottles) and they noted it, however nothing came of it.

Honest review from a couple that travels often and loves a vacation and is easily pleased- the place is extremely clean and the grounds are pretty, this is a VERY small resort but that wasn’t an issue for us. The food was good (and I’m picky), expect the first few days you’re here to eat at the buffet as the restaurant reservations are taken. The rooms were clean and comfortable and the service was good. The only compliant I have is we were here when a TON of high school seniors were here (over half the resort) and they were rude, loud, and trashy. The entertainment is the only thing I would say made me not want to come back. The “entertainment” goes late into the night so if you want to sleep early before 11 it is very loud. The entertainment is outdated and is just a lot of music and yelling outside and when you’re trying to relax and enjoy the pool, workers come out to dance near the pool and speak on microphones. Some people may love this but I was simply here to relax so this was not a pro for me. I had wished it was quieter when I was going to sleep since people are up at 6:30am reserving sunbeds, so I do not like that there was music blasting past 11. Other than the loudness outside at night and the “poolside entertainment” I enjoyed my 4 night stay at this resort. I would give it a 4 star rating considering the price was low compared to other places

We visited Gran Ventana for an excursion on our cruise. The o ly downside was the peddlers on the beach, but I think that's to be expected at any Caribbean island. The pool was nice, the food was great, the staff was very attentive. We would definitely do this excursion again.

Just got back. We had good time but there’s a lot of room for improvement. The restaurants service needs to be a little more quick but the food is great. Its a very secure complex and being said you can walk by yourself in the middle of the night too. There’s a small shopping complex with less than five minutes of walk. Staff is super friendly and accommodating. From bellboys to reception to the office staff they are nice. There’s a language barrier but things get done. The food at the buffet was good but for some people they might want more variety but honestly one can’t eat that much. I would love to go back.

  • 4/5 Ben S. 4 months ago on Google
Great beaches, great service. You'll run into peddlers on the beach, but, as long as you politely decline, they don't bother you too much. Breakfast and lunch is ok, and restaurants are good with multiple courses and accommodating of special requests. Rooms are ok, but could use an update on the finishes. AC units are a bit loud, but work marvelously.

The best all Inclusive in Puerto Plata. The staff works so hard and everyone has been extremely pleasant. This is our 3rd time at Gran Ventana and it's still lovely. Special thank you to manager Solange for welcoming us back as family, Antony for our pleasant check-in experience, Carlos (bellhop supervisor) for taking the time to welcome our family back to Gran Ventana, Juan (ocean grill) for taking extra care of us at our daughter's birthday dinner and Andrea the bartender for making us feel extra special during our visit. We are looking forward to returning soon!

Although I visited here back in 2007 and 2008 when i was in the U.S.C.G.... it still looks the same with some updates of course. Even back then it was one of the best all inclusive resorts I had ever been too. That swim up bar was amazing and that actually had nightly shows that were performed. The all u can drink went from one bar to the other during the night time closer towards the beach area... where most people ended up laying out listening to the waves crash... EVERY SINGLE EMPLOYEE was amazing and generous and helpful. Food was amazing too. I wonder how it is now... I do plan to go back

I was a little worried due to the negative reviews but I don’t have enough good things to say about this resort. 9/10 would recommend. Here is my whole review: The food was great! (Coming from a picky eater) There were tons of options at the buffet at every meal and most of the menu was changed daily with a few staples every day like a pasta bar, pizza, bread and salad bar. Snack bar always had hamburgers/hotdogs, fried and grilled chicken, nachos. There a are a few bars and never took more than a few minutes to get a drink. The staff were great, very friendly, and helpful. Everyone I encountered had a great attitude and loved to joke around. The rooms were nice clean, the room did smell strongly of cleaner upon arrival but we aired out for a few minutes and it was okay. The air condition worked very well, shower pressure was decent and had no issue with hot water. Wifi worked perfectly in the room. (There is only wifi in the room and lobby). There were always grounds keepers out cleaning, and staff gardening. Overall very clean and well kept resort. They kept the pool very clean, I only wish it was open later it does close at 7pm. I went Monday-Saturday and never was overly busy. Note, You do get one pool towel per guest that you can exchange as much as you’d like. If you can I’d bring your own. There is lots of lounge chairs around the pool/resort, and quite a few at the beach also. Luckily it didn’t rain during our trip but there’s seating in the lobby, entry ways of each building and lots of cover tables at the stage. There are many activities throughout the day, Zumba, Pool Competitions, Dance Parties for Kids, Magic Shows, etc. Night time entertainment could be better but by the sounds of things they recently hired a event manager so fingers crossed it gets a bit better. We did get to participate in a White Party they introduced the management, had a special dinner, and entertainment. You could tell everyone was passionate about their job, the resort was also awarded best resort in Dominican in 2023. The resort shop was overpriced (as to be expected) there is a mall with tons of local shops and a bank which has great exchange rate about a two minute walk from the lobby, we went a few times it was great. Overall as two women travelling we felt incredibly safe, no issues there. They say you come as guests and leave as family and I couldn’t agree more. We will be back!

Make sure to use HoteITully.ᴄᴏm when booking your hotel. This web site will compare countless booking websites and typically will have rooms much cheaper than others! You're welcome :)! This resort is the best rated in this area. I've been coming here for a long time. If you stay for a few days you definitely will love it I'm sure! Just got back. We had good time but there’s a lot of room for improvement. The restaurants service needs to be a little more quick but the food is great.

Don't forget to use ʜᴏᴛᴇʟʙoʟʟʏ.ᴄᴏm when booking your place. This site will compare hundreds of booking web sites and usually will have rates much cheaper compared to others! Thank me later! This resort is one of my favorites in the area. I have been coming here for a long time. If you stay for a few days you for sure will love it I'm sure! Overall the stay was amazing. Aqualino, Joel & Milton provided an amazing experience throughout the trip. Definitely worth the spend for the premium upgrade. Having the private vintage bar, beach and upgraded rooms make it worth while. Only complaint would be the food…. but we were there for the beach which beat our expectations!

I loved my stay at the VH Gran Ventana. The staff is exemplary. They go above and beyond to provide the best possible service. The staff makes this resort the best vacation destination. The rooms are clean and comfortable. The resort is super clean. Enjoyed the food at the beach bar every lunch was hit and fresh. The chicken wings and fries were perfect. The drinks free flowing, bring a mug with you to keep them cold. The buffet is great as well. Lots of selection daily. My only recommendation for the resort is to add 30 umbrellas to the beach to provide more shade. I can't wait to return.

We enjoyed a fantastic family holiday recently at Gran Ventana. We opted for the Royal package, and for us it was worth it! The service was phenomenal, rooms are clean and comfortable, food choices were great. We took advantage of visiting all of the a la carte restaurants and they were all really enjoyable. Outstanding service by the entire staff of Gran Ventana made our vacation a truly enjoyable one! The private beach area with bali beds and bar service was so amazing. There are vendors that walk the beach, but we found they are very respectful, and we met some truly lovely people (if you get a chance to buy a nice piece of jewellery off of Pedro, be sure to do so!) We travelled with our kids who are young adults, although there wasn't a tremendous amount of night life, there were still things to do in the evening (beach party, shows, vintage club for a nice drink and game of cards). Highly recommended for a truly relaxing vacation. Can't wait to return!

We loved everything in this hotel! We spent 10 days here and everything - the food, entertainment, beach and service were all top-notch. We were always surrounded by friendly and helpful staff. We recommend this resort to both couples and families as everyone can find something to love at this resort - there's a kids club with a small pool, tennis, billiards and a gym club. We highly recommend a stay here and plan to return!

The best hotel in Playa Dorada, the staff is amazing, Hipolito and Dennys in the buffet, my maid Lidya was so attentive. Food was the best quality and variety. There is pasta station, salad station, dessert station, bread station, I mean anything you could ask for. There were other specialty restaurants but, I didn't get to go as reservation is required. The grounds is clean all the time, there is a tea and coffee table all day by the pool. My room was a bit small for two beds, but oh well is not meant to be in it while on vacation. Osvaldo in the bar by the reception makes the best drinks! I was happy to see COVID-19 protocol in place I felt safe hand sanitizations are all around. The beach was beautiful. Kudos to the entertainment staff who try to get the guest active and entertained all day long by the beach, pool and at night, they are a very hard working crew, I hope they get paid well. The live band at the managers cocktail was wonderful, I really enjoyed the music, you should have it on Saturdays. I had no issues while I stayed in this hotel, it's my 3rd time and you did not dissapoint. I was in room 2110 until January 18th. I will go back to this hotel 10 stars!

Playa Dorada is hands down the best beach in Puerto Plata! The Gran Ventana has not changed much since the last time I visited about 7 years ago. We spent 7 days there. The check in was easy but long since there was only 2 people to check us in. There seems to be 2 a la carte restaurants but never got around to book them. 1 buffet (food = OK) that closes at 10:30 pm, 1 snack (food =good) next to the beach that closes at 4pm (i think), 3 bars, 1 gym, 1 entertainment area with pool, fooseball and a stage with seating. We booked the Superior Room and it felt ery ordinary and more like a 3.5 star room. The rest of the resort itself i would rate it more like a 3.5 or 4 star hotel. Clean hotel and everyone is respecting the covid safety measures. Side note, the visit rate is very low at the moment and of course i could feel that the pandemic hit hard. Overall, our stay was ok, we wanted to relax , which we did. I felt that people's hearts weren't into it and did not feel the welcome i felt the first time I visited. In general Puerto Plata feels on edge at the moment (understandably). I will probably not come back to this hotel, unless major renos are done and when the hight of the pandemic is "over".

This is my second home. The staff are so friendly and helpful. Snorkeling is fun right at the beach on the reef. Lots of fish. Great food and drinks.

(Translated by Google) Of course it's very nice to hug the dolphins, the dolphins and sea lions perform very well, even if the sharks, nothing. The buffet is good, but no water is provided, a bottle of mineral water is $ 2, and it is quite safe to rent a locker, which costs $ 10. There is also a water park, which is exciting for children. Overall, it's very good, just a bit too commercial.

(Translated by Google) The place is what it promises 3 star. Be prepared to change rooms a few times upon check-in. The cleaning may require more. The service is, however, very good and breakfast and the beach bar are top. Lunch and evening buffet is 3/5 but ok. Nice staff who keep track of the names of the guests. A real pool bar and great entertainment about the volleyball days, etc. A fun and good hotel.

We changed from other resort to Gran Ventana and we were so happy we did that. Everything was amazing there, the food , the animation, the service was excellent. The beach was great, our kids really enjoyed it. We met so many great people there. Trust me if you are looking for a decent resort , not fancy but steady quality for your paid buck. Gran Ventana will be for you!!!!!! We will definitely come back!!!!!!!!

Staff was nice. Place was small. Lots of languages spoken there. Definitely marketed strongly to Europeans. Good entertainment team. Food was good. The beach was clean and nice. Room clean. Could use some updates...here and there. But cleanliness, good food, medium-sized resort was what I was looking for. I visited another resort while there. It was HUGE. Hard to get around, buffet food was so so, and Covid-19 protocols wasn't as enforced like at Gran Ventana. Thus, bigger in current times is not always better.

For an all inclusive this is good value! This resort is well-priced, clean, decent service, good food, two pools (which is great as one is a quiet pool). It’s a smaller resort (but bigger than boutique). The beach is beautiful and you can walk it for miles. The a la carte restaurants were “just ok” for the quality of food and only available on certain days with spots quickly filling. The vintage of the guests was more senior than I’d ever seen anywhere - meaning over 65 - but also an assortment of other ages. Not many kids. We did not want to do anything but sleep. Cannot comment on excursions or anything like that. We would go again for a quick and easy reasonably priced vacation to rest.

The resort is Very clean, staff follows and ensured CoVid protocols were followed by guests. The rooms are a little dated. The food at the buffet was very good!!!! I was actually impressed. I mostly ate the pork and the chicken. It was very tasty and varied. I tried the restaurant but I was not impress by the service or the food. The buffet was much better. Great service, everybody works hard. They came to do the rooms and change the towels every day. The wine (red or white) was not great. The only beer I saw was local “Présidente” very light beer but it was fine to drink in the hot weather. I love the fact there was a “quiet pool”. It was great to relax and read a book and there is a bar right there. Jackie the bartender is amazing!!!!! The beach is alright, too windy for my taste but great for wind or kite surfing. I found the exchange between US dollars and Dominican pesos a little steep but nothing I could do about it. There is a little market nearby, souvenir, alcohol and jewellery. A tennis court and a golf course nearby. I can’t really complain about anything. I was looking for a nice resort, with decent food and lots of R&R and I found it. So all in all a nice trip. BTW I was very impressed with the Puerto Plata airport. Very clean, arrival way easy and departure effortless. I’ll be back!!!!!

We sadly just returned home after our 3rd trip to the Gran Ventana and cannot wait to go back again. Definitely worth upgrading to premium or royal. This gives you access to the outstanding staff on the beach like Aquilino (who knows what you want before you have thought about it), Ricky (Sea Pro guy who loves a good laugh and chat about baseball), the Vintage club staff - all who are so welcoming and eager to make each stay better than the last. Highly recommend the iced coffee from the Vintage Club! The staff is outstanding and the reason we will return.

The people who work here are mostly great. Especially Raoul, Osvaldo , Denny, and Enrique. Rooms are a bit dated. If you want to eat anywhere other than the buffet plan on being in line before 8am to make reservations. Beautiful beach but too make pushy vendors. All in all a great 10 days.

Great place for a vacation in the sun. Right on the beach with a reef and snorkeling starting in knee deep water. The food is excellent and the entertainment is reasonable. There is a tourist shopping mall just outside the gates. Also a golf course within a 5 minute walk. The hotel is located in a gated hotel zone so it is a safe area to go for a run or walk. Alongside the golf course there is a marked running trail and a small park where there are some pull up bars and balance beams. There are people who hang out at the beach selling jewellery, massages and tours.

I would like to start by saying that my stay at the Grand Ventana was one of my best experiences at an all inclusive. We had 10 people in our group..We all chose the premium package..the service was impeccable! We absolutely loved the VIP room! The restaurant’s were all fabulous..the buffet was also outstanding. We loved Milton, Maria, Aquilino and Juan (Grand Ventana you need to recognize these members of your staff..they need to receive a raise or a huge bonus) they treated us like family… the rest of the staff were also excellent! With out a doubt we will be returning to this hotel! Thank you for everything and we look forward to our next visit! Love you all 🥰🥰 😘 😘 Thank you!! Marco and Alicia Morales
