It is our first day here and we give the resort full marks for meeting our expectations as described to us by our travel agent....small, quiet, etc. Our first dinner out was not so good. Slow service, considering the resort is not busy, they did not bring me my first course, the mains were just okay and we left before dessert due to slow service. So we hope for much better the rest of the week. To sum up our entire stay I would recommend this resort to adults looking for a small and quiet place to chill out (no boom boom party pools here). Overall we enjoyed ourselves. Are there opportunities for improvement - of course, but nothing we encountered was a show stopper. We took the "Royal package' and we felt the extra perks were worth it - upgraded room, private bar with premium brands, private pool with bar, small private area at the beach, etc. The staff were great and the food overall was good. So we give it a thumbs up and would return.

I live in Puerto Plata for a year now but on weekends, my husband and I travel all over the Dominican Republic to different resorts., hotels, and Airbnb. Road trips!!!! FYI....I’m staying at this resort as I write this for 2 nights,3 days. This is night ONE. Friday! 1. The guy at the front desk upgraded our room for free with a king size bed. Thank you kind sir. 🤩 2. Shower above us leaked, flooded our bathroom and wet my clothes.😢 3. The lady who is now at the front desk downgraded us “because that’s what you paid for”. Isn’t she sweet?!?!😔 4. The balcony lock is broken in our new room so we can’t go outside but I can see how nice it is from the window.🙄 5. My sunglasses broke- not the hotel’s fault but a theme is forming.☹️ 6. Our first meal was great, Thank God, and most of the staff is friendly (except lady at front desk, very cold woman)🤨 7. Within, 5 hours of being parked in their gated “secured” resort, our new 2020 motorcycle was vandalized in their parking lot. We are told there are NO security cameras. Great! 🤬 8. There is no manager on site in the evening to help with any problems so we have to wait until tomorrow.😐 9. There is NO entertainment (or animation staff that I’ve noticed doing activities) so choose your company wisely as your travel partner IS your entertainment. Thanfully I have an awesome man that makes everything fun.... we were the only people dancing. 😁 20. The resort is pretty empty. If the owner replaced the rude lady at the front desk and the 2 female managers who just couldn’t be bothered to help, this resort was be ok. In a year, with the right manager in charge, this resort would be amazing. Recommendation... Go to Cofresi or Tropical at Lifestyle for fun or to Gran Vantena to relax in quiet.

We had booked and payed in full to have our honeymoon at this hotel. The day we arrive is the day they closed for pandemic. They reassured us that we would be able to return when restrictions lifted. All other hotels reopened but Atmosphere was impossible to get in contact with. Also hotels.com that we booked the stay with refused to help us. Atmosphere must have gone bankrupt during pandemic. We never got our money returned or compensated in any way. Not from this hotel and not from hotels.com either. We had saved up for a long time to pay this for our honeymoon. Now we can't even use that money to go somewhere else instead. They stole our honeymoon money!

The resort is very nice and clean. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The food was not the best and there was only limited options. There is so much more they could do when it comes to food. We had the royal package and it was worth the extra money - access to the private pool and the vintage bar is what made this vacation. Our room was spacious and clean.

Pros: Really quiet and cozy. Clean. Friendly stuff. Really friendly stuff. Bell boys are helpful, desk stuff are really nice. Kitchen stuff is also really nice. I couldn't eat my food there and brought my own food. They kept all my food in their fridge and heated it up for me before the meals (was more than happy to tip them for the great service). Beach is amazing. Have a small pool, but we spent most of the time at the beach. Cons: No proper entertainment at night. Was expecting night shows, instead it's participation based with karaoke, and other such activities, the activities were so loud it was horrible. Boys that were serving at the beach were pretty rude and made fun of myself and my mother. Hotel was not by the beach, it was 5 minutes walk. They provide a shuttle. Alcoholic drinks had barely any alcohol in it. I think they mix it with water. I asked for pure vodka and it tasted like water with a small hint of vodka.

My brothers and I spent 5 nights here and we enjoyed it. The rooms were nice, clean and cool. The food was nice and tasty. The staff by far was the best part about this resort. Very friendly, very attentive, and always willing to help. The pool area was nice and being an adults only resort it was quiet and serene. The beach is only a 5 minute walk or they have a shuttle take you there. They have breakfast lunch and dinner which is included. Every day we had something different. I definitely recommend making a reservation for the included restaurants as the food was just amazing. My brothers and I enjoyed are time here and would definitely recommend it!

Stayed here for 5 days at the end of February after being given the option to switch from the VH Gran Ventana. We are so glad we did! The room was very clean and bed was comfortable. The staff were all very friendly and welcoming. The pool was always pretty busy but we never had any problem finding lounge chairs however, the water in the pool was freezing! The beach was about a 5 min walk away but there is a shuttle that can take you to and from the beach. The location of the beach may not be convenient for everyone but me and my fiance found it quite nice to be able to walk back and forth to the beach and not have everything right there. The food at the beach bar was just alright but the bartender at the beach bar was phenomenal! Back on the resort, the food at the buffet was delicious and there was lots of variety! We had dinner at the Italian restaurant on one of the nights but we both actually preferred the buffet. There is a little coffee shop near the main lobby area which is a great addition to the resort. Wifi is free and the connection is strong pretty much everywhere. Overall, it was a fantastic stay and we will definitely return here if we come back to Puerto Plata!

Just returned from a week here (1-8 Jun), the low season! We were in search of quiet and relaxing and that's exactly what we got. The first 5 days we were there, there were definitely less than 50 other people. Service was excellent, food quality was excellent and varied. The entire resort was constantly being cleaned and security was patrolling at all times to give you that extra sense of safety. We upgraded to the royal package and that's exactly how we were treated, the service at the private pool was the best that we have ever received. I highly recommend a visit here, we will be back!

The food is outstanding, the facilities and the staff are phenomenal and the setting is lovely. Transportation to and from the beach, where you have dedicated bar facilities as well as food. However, it is as advertised: quiet. The entertainment shuts down at 11pm, so if you're inclined to want to want to stay up late, you'll have to find ways to entertain yourself. Overall very good, but I'll go back when I'm older.

We had a great vacation in this small resort. The food was great. Rooms and resort overall are clean! Walk to the beach is 7-8 minutes but you can have a ride on buggy carts. I wish they have a better coffee machine in the bar.

Clean ,nice size rooms. We had one on the 2nd level overlooking the golf course, so we enjoyed the view and the birds from the balcony. Reception staff were pleasant when we checked in. Later on there was another front desk shift who were not so helpful. Only 2 a la carte Restaurants .Both need reservations. They fill up pretty fast. The Resort does not overlook the beach and have to walk about 7 minutes or take the hotel shuttle (runs up to 5 pm).
