Definitely would not be staying here again. We booked two king bed swim out rooms and they gave us two double bed rooms. My husband and I either shared a smaller bed or each slept on one. From the first day we told them about it but they did not change it until our last day there. They also charged us extra to check in early even though our rooms were never available. The rooms were not what we expected at all. It smelled moldy, the phones did not work, the rooms had roaches, and our AC remote did not work. After they finally changed our rooms for the last night we left our slippers outside the sliding door because we had a swim up room so the back was our space. The next morning they were gone. Horrible experience! We went to the front desk and guest services everyday to resolve our problems and nothing was done. The only reason this gets two stars instead of one is because the staff at the restaurants and pool was very nice.

After a well deserved vacation we decided to stay here. and the truth was the best decision. We spent a beautiful week with the family. Zero stress. The service in general was phenomenal. Everything was in abundance for example: food, sodas, juices, alcoholic beverages etc. I can say more but I want to end saying that we had an excellent time at Emotions of Hodelpa. we recommend it 100%

I did the adult all inclusive, they had an extra pool by us that was very small. The room was well cleaned daily and had a great AC. The staff was friendly. However, I don’t think I will be coming back since the food was terrible and cold . The drinks were also a disappointment. We ate outside the hotel for the time we were there after tasting it since everything but the buffet required a reservation.

Great hotel, all the staff is extremely friendly, very clean rooms and hotel grounds. The staff keep everything in tip top shape. Seaweed that gets washed ashore is cleaned daily so you have a beautiful beach. Great healthy choices in the buffet for all 3 meals daily; Lots of salads. Definitely will be back again. Some things to be aware of: - Beach vendors, but they are not very pushy. - Lots of locals drop by on the weekends/holidays so you can expect a full hotel with tons of people in the pool and the WiFi lagging and cutting out. Other than that the wifi works tremendously well to get some work done when there aren't too many people connected, for example early mornings before 11.

Spent a day here as part of a cruise excursion. Staff at the beach were very attentive and kept the beers flowing. Beach was nice and loungers under a shade tree . Pool was great, buffet lunch was excellent and clean . Coffee shop good too. Would visit for an extended stay next time we are in the area. Plantains were the best at the buffet.

This is a great hotel, staff are friendly and helpful. Right on the beach. Rooms are immaculate. Food is good, not gourmet but you will find something to enjoy. The Al la carts are so/so. For a 3 1/2 star hotel I would recommend if you're not picky.

Remember to use ʜᴏᴛᴇʟʙoʟʟʏ.ᴄᴏm when booking any room. They compare thousands of booking websites and usually will have rates a lot cheaper compared to others! Thank me later! This hotel is one of the best in the area. I've been coming here for a long time. If you stay for a few days you will love it I'm sure! Great all inclusive resort for a very reasonable price. Food is good, always lots of options. Bar service is great. The entertainment team Carlos, Michael and Lewis are amazing!

Arrived 6 hours late thanks to the airline and was given an uncleaned room. Finally given another room and AC barely works. WiFi doesn’t work either. How is is this a 5 star hotel? I wouldn’t stay here if they paid me to.

The hotel was nice but some of them had a little bit of a musty smell but they changed the sheets when we asked them. Also had some issues with the shower not draining. The staff was really nice. They made sure the whole family had fun and was always treated with respect. The food was pretty good. Overall, a really good experience for the whole family.

Emotions does a lot well but there's aspects it does poorly that makes me hesitant to go back. For starters, there's a very cute charm about this resort as it's quite small so its very easy to get familiar with the layout. The landscaping is incredible and it's clear lots of care is put into the aesthetics. Similarly the buildings are well maintained and everything appears new. The beach is lovely , expansive and you're welcome to walk across the entirety of the beach across other resorts, so you can enjoy the entirety of the beach line which is great. There are vendors on the beach selling all sorts of merch but they're not particularly bothersome and won't bother you if you're not interested. The room was nice and the house cleaning staff was fantastic. I think it's also important to emphasize that there are genuinely amazing people working there. Now the parts that added stress to our trip. They will not check you in before 3pm, which is very unfortunate if you arrive with a toddler. They should really have a service that allows for early check ins if you arrive as a family. The other thing is that Emotions has a staff of blue-shirt salesmen that wander the resort trying to get you into a seminar to sell you real estate/ timeshares for their resort residences. They WILL harass you and will hang out the breakfast buffet and literally chase after you every day to talk to try and get you to sign up. If you refuse they try to guilt trip you into signing up to help them out. Absolutely ridiculous. Outside of those two things this is a perfect resort. However I don't want to have to deal with those two issues again so we likely won't return unless they remedy those two issues. 3.5/5.

First this is not a 4,5 stars, far from that. This is not entertaining just 2/7 nights. They are water dispenser in the building but they are always empty. Cleaning staff never put soap in the bathroom, every time I had to asked for it. The only great thing was the beach.

Visited early February. Loved the resort, rooms, staff and food. The entertainment staff BonBon and Dora were the absolute best. Omelette bar every morning is delicious. Evening show every night was super entertaining, Michael Jackson show was great! Bartenders Brian, Alberto and Bismarck were so charismatic and awesome. No complaints, Only down side is it’s hard to get restaurant reservations, our bathroom fan didn’t work, and our safe had to get reset often.

We went here as a excursion from cruise ship. It was a beautiful resort on the beach. We had all access to pool, beach, restaurant, and bars. The service and food was great. I would definitely come back again.

We absolutely love this place. It's our first and definitely not our last! The only thing we'd change is the bedroom we were in. AC didn't work, the bathroom always felt dirty, despite our amazing cleaning lady's efforts. We aren't here for the room though, so overall we're in love with this place.

We only stayed one night and it is a bit of a curate's egg. The resort is well laid out with a range of pools, bars and restaurants as well as an excellent beach. The staff are generally friendly and keen to help but the system breaks down very easily. We wanted to book one of the gourmet restaurants and were told this had to be done via guest services. We tried for more than an hour with no one answering the phone, eventually I went to office, to find it was closed, Reception said the person was out but would return shortly, they would have her call us back. We received no call and finally just went to a restaurant without a reservation, and were seated as it was a Monday and plenty of vacancies. However, for reasons never really explained it took the chef a hour to produce the starter and a further hour and half to deliver the main course. It has to be the longest I have ever waited for a meal in a restaurant. Then our check out, despite having told them at check-in we required an official receipt for tax purposes, it took no less than an hour for them to produce one. Frankly we were unimpressed.

I entirely loved my experience in this hotel. Everyone was very helpful and friendly, territory is clean same as rooms. Excellent food in Italian a la cart restaurant, great vine selection in vine bar. Their beach is perfect too, I travel a lot around the world, you seldom can find such a beach and Cristal ocean water. If you want to see more real photos & videos and honest review from my vacation here visit my IG @margarita_romannn Will definitely come back!

THIS IS HORRIBLE, the ergos buffet needs improvement because it’s to small and the varieties of food are things a person can eat at home like rice and beans. there’s only 3 small pools (1 for kids). they should have more staff at the front desk so people don’t have to wait for hours.

I don’t even know from where to start, I went to that resort with my siblings, when we were on the buffet nobody wanted to ask us if we needed anything. They just walked right past us which I really didn’t like and i think is because we are considered as minors and not as adults which I saw they attended better.

We just arrived from this hotel. The resort and relaxation there are wonderful. Thank you very much to the staff, very attentive and friendly. I would like to mention the managers, supervisors and cooks who responded to gluten free for my child. Guys, I am very grateful to you. The abundance of food is amazing, everything is natural and fresh. We will definitely come again! If you are planning to come here with your family, with children, you really can’t go wrong.

Rooms are clean. Housekeeping daily. Helpful friendly staff. Food is OK. Read some of the negative reviews and we were pleasantly surprised with the hotel. The ac worked fine we didn't use it much housekeeping would turn it back on daily. Our only problem was no hot water for the first 2 days. We mentioned it to Sunwing rep, housekeeping, hotel representative problem resolved. They do give an elite package upsell $$$ kinda like a timeshare package pitch. Received a few gifts in exchange.

We really liked this place! There were a few down sides though. Everything about this was very enjoyable, except; Equipment for activities was lacking. Beach towels were almost non existent, the mini golf clubs and balls were almost all broken, and tennis balls were not available. There was no hot tub. Also pools closed at 7pm in November which seemed really early haha. These were all a bummer but we still really liked it so take it for what it’s worth.

Shared the resort and the beach while on a cruise. If you're staying here, I expect a fabulous time! If the beach, bar and lunch buffet was any indication, expect a great time. The beach and service there was amazing, the bar and buffet were truly remarkable. Enjoy!!

We are staying at the Hotel now, January of 2022. The Good Beds are comfortable, people are nice and polite. Pools are decent, nothing crazy The bad Food is terrible!!!!!!! Again Food is Terrible!!! We tried all the restaurants and the one at the Beach and food is horrible!!! For an all inclusive Hotel this is the worst we been. We end up going out to eat bcz we were wasting the food and we hate to do that. Ugly The mosquitoes, some flies and dirty sofas at the entrance. Other than that Coffee is Great If you can find yourself another place

NO NEED to write a few reviews to get the message like I saw below. That was unnecessary!.My experience was great! However, management need to communicate with all the sellers by the beach and tell them to let the guest arrive first, get comfortable, and relax before approaching to sell their stuff. I totally understand that they are working but, please we also want some quiet and relaxing time and then we can decide weather or not we want to buy necklaces, get a pedicure, massage, etc…. Thank you!!!

The hotel has most of the resort features with 3 complimented restaurants and a wide open beach front. Foods are good for Caribbean. The most favourite place was the Cafe.

We enjoyed our day pass here, which was offered as a shore excursion on our cruise. We enjoyed their buffet lunch and pool area very much. Beach is a short walk away, but too many vendors walking around hassling us, so we didn't stay on the beach. Lunch was delicious, and volleyball net set up in pool area was a lot of fun.

Overall, I'd for sure recommend Emotions. Right on the beach, all inclusive option wasn't egregiously prices, good enough amenities, and all of the staff from front desk to bar keeps and back again were awesome. Where I knock a star lies in the food which was squarely average - that goes for their buffet as well as their 'themed' restaurants that are only open certain days. Just not a lot of flavor or inspiration. One example that encapsulates this is the Mexican restaurant's self serve food bar - they has cold nacho cheese straight of the the can and produce that tasted past it's prime. If you do book with Emotions, perhaps consider going into the city for your meals.

Great service from all the staff. Manases at the front desk was welcoming, helpful & accommodating. Food was great, coffee bar great, Mexican restaurant delicious, great that it was included. Beach was beautiful & had everything you could want, the pool by our building was also 5 stars. Only thing that was less than stellar were the rooms themselves. Strong smell of bleach/chemicals to try to stamp out the mold. Our first room had heavy black mold in the shower. The rooms are clean but there are clearly mold issues due to the humidity. Our second room was better but still had that smell. Would have stayed another night but decided to leave due to the room condition.overall a great value, hopefully they will do something about the rooms

Great hotel, all the staff is extremely friendly & Helpful - special thanks to Adalgisa, Junior, and Carlos at Bags locker room, very clean rooms and hotel grounds. so you have a beautiful beach to enjoy. Great healthy choices in the buffet for all 3 meals daily; Lots of salads - special thanks go to Angelo who Overlook the operation of Buffet...... Free WiFi - very good connectivity around the resort. The bars are open all day and food pop ups all day long (burgers on the beach). The archery and batting cage was a plus for me. Your family will love it. Definitely will be back soon

A very nice clean place to stay. Wonderful staff and lots of healthy food choices - but very little variety or spicing! The entertainment is ok, not very exciting. It would be nice not to be hearing background music all the time! Great swimming and wonderful large beach.

The hotel is good but the service with the people who work in the hotel they don't listen to you they yes pass by over the tables , I and my family paid 200 dollars for special occasions dinner hahaha that was a fraud in the buffet not even in of the restaurant they has there and we have have to people's eyes open.

I went solo the workers are friendly the food was great. I had a swim up room but not enough sun this time of year. The beach is great it was crowded on the weekend, but thinned out during the week . Spa treatmen 2 of them were great. The food was filling the chicken at the beach club was great. The ladies of the coffee haus were excellent tell them what you like they will make it appear.

This property should be a 1 star. Recent renovation is only paint and new flooring in rooms that still smell damp and moldy as it was in the previous named Playa Naco. Service is horrible understaffed have to always chase down to ask to have the table cleaned from previous guest and to get cutlery and drinks. Serve u drinks in the buffet in plastic cups staff all seem tired and miserable. Pool bar was never staffed beach bar and main hotel bar only 1 bartender. Food selection is horrible no selection only local dominican food. This hotel should be ashamed for their poor level of service also for having time share vacation club people stalking you daily non stop. Management I should be ashamed of yourselves. Future customers save your money and aggravation

This place is just what I needed. Very Incredible! The staff was very welcome and accommodating. Xiomara and Angel were great upon arrival. The food was wonderful and great wine! We stayed right on the beach and this place would be perfect for honeymooners or get away with your sweetie! The beach was very relaxing. And the bartenders always gave me a good Spanish lesson! The activities guys were always amazing as well! Jose is your go-to guy! So much love to all of you!

We went to this all inclusive resort as a shore excursion from our cruise ship. The Pros were: staff on the beach were friendly and accommodating. There were plenty of lounge chairs and umbrellas. The free drinks were nice (we did not partake in the all inclusive restaurant). The ocean was refreshing to swim. Cons: It was advertised as a luxurious resort but was misleading as it appeared average at best in appearance and condition. Most of the vendors walking the beach selling jewelry or services such as massages, manicures, pedicures, hair braiding, etc. were annoying at times as they kept coming back and had a hard time taking polite no thank yous for an answer. The music on the beach was very loud and took away from the beauty & tranquility of the beach experience. In conclusion, it was nice to spend a few hours at the beach but we found the luxurious advertising to be very misleading and we were dissapointed.

We had a good time as a group here. Not a 5 star resort, and I would say just below a 4 star due to quality of food and rooms/buildings. Staff are great and try hard to fix if something is broken. Resort was fairly full, sometimes there is a line to get into the buffet. Service at buffet could be better. Quality of food is best at Italian and Mexican restaurants, and Mexican night at buffet was amazing. Disappointing that the kids club is closed due to covid. They had one afternoon of outdoor kids entertainment with face paint and ice cream, but could have done more. The beach is amazing with lots of shade and beautiful sand, but waves were high. Overall enjoyed our stay here.
