To be honest, this resort doesn't care if you die. My father had a heart attack on property and spent three nights in the ICU at the local hospital. We asked for an exception to get a golf cart for him. We are members. The resort REFUSED. They don't care about anything but money. What a joke. They have no ability to provide actual customer service. There are so many other resorts to stay at that actually care about humans. Don't stay here. Ever. And don't even think about going to a restaurant without a VIP wristband! You'll be treated like cattle. It's a shame because the employees are mostly kind and understanding, but management is too strict with policies and refuses to make any exceptions. The resort itself is starting to show its age and management hasn't done much to keep the property maintained.

This was a family favorite and I was invited to join for their 1st trip since COVID. We had 3 adjoining rooms. The staff were friendly and tried to accommodate, but there were flawed systems that prevented us from experiencing this resort to its' fullest. We lost water 6 of 7 days in the evening. My room had NO air conditioning and no one even attempted to fix it. The bathtub had brown stains of who knows what. The sheets had holes in them. This is no longer a family favorite.

Worst resort experience of my life. I typed up lots of bullet points but it exceeds the character limit on Google. Here are some: - Rooms are old and dated. Grounds need renovation - Not handicap accessible at all. Tons of hills, potholes, stairs - If you are not a member, you cannot use much of the resort. They will try and get you to buy in when you're there and show you all the areas you cannot use - The town is run down, it's truly a 3rd world country. You do not want to venture outside the resort. Lots of pollution and worn/run-down streets and buildings - The staff overall was incredibly nice and did their best... the issues with the resort fall on management - Rooms had TVs 20 years old - Many items in the room did not work. Lights, phones, toilets. Maintenance repaired some. - Jacuzzi in our room had broken jets that shot water across the room. Soaked one bed and flooded the room. My mother slipped on the wet floor after exiting the jacuzzi and hurt herself. - Beach is not nice at all. Rough waters, dirty sand, dilapidated shacks along the water with small shops - Wi-Fi is terrible. Constant disconnects. 2mbps with full strength signals. Some areas want you to pay to use it. - Many Jacuzzis around the facility do not work. - Spa was alright... it was expensive and they tried their best with what they have -Found several cockroaches. -Showers had some black mold and lots of patchwork. -Water damage on walls -Some faucets spouted water at an angle -All of the furniture was old. The couches, chairs, ottomans are all uncomfortable. One closet had dirt on the bottom. II. Sixto - Golf cart driver for Lifestyles. We met him on our second day there. - First day we met him, told us he’d be our personal concierge. - He said whatever we need, he will get us. I tipped him $20 to take care of us for the week. He said he’d look into getting us a golf cart tomorrow. - Second day, he asked to show us around the grounds after taking us to breakfast. Said he would show us what there is to do and all the “fun” spots. - We were immediately dropped off at a Lifestyles Vacations building for a timeshare sale and he took off. We proceeded to be sold for ~3 hours. - Sixto never returned after. We were later told he works for the timeshare, and never gave us another ride. III. Food/Drinks - The food was awful. We paid over $2000 for the week for all-inclusive drinks/meals. - First day we went to Casablanca for dinner. It was the worst food I’ve seen at a hotel. Any hotel. We both had upset stomachs. - Rodizio, Brazilian churrascaria was the best “guest” restaurant. Decent sirloin steaks and sausages. Only 4-5 different meats going around, but it was good. - Simply Gourmet, was the only “member” restaurant we could go to. Luckily, they got us in twice. Food is much better here than anywhere else. Had the ribeye. It is not an amazing Ribeye, very fatty, but the wine glaze was good, Potato Leek and salad were great, and my mom liked her surf and turf. Well, just the turf, she said the shrimp was awful. - WORST DRINKS IMAGINABLE! They use the cheapest liquor one can find, except at “member” bars. They have one beer. Presidente. I was able to get Heineken a few times, but that’s it. Cannot stress enough how bad the drinks are. - During our Sales Meeting, we were told that since we’re members of RCI (they constantly used the term “RCI people”), most of the hotel grounds are for members only. RCI members are considered guests and only have access to certain restaurants, beaches, pools, and other facilities. We were treated basically like second-class citizens. They showed us all the restaurants and areas we could not go to! They did not compensate us at all for staying through the entire hours-long meeting except for a small bottle of cheap rum and mamajuana. They dangled upgrading us to VIP status for the remainder of our trip, but in the end said this would only happen if we paid them a fee to cover it for the remainder of our trip. - Most of the pools were completely empty. Zero shade in most of them.

Save your time and money! Don’t go here. They will waste your time trying to sell you their membership. And if you are a member but not the highest level, they will hunt you down- every concierge, bell hop, receptionist, housekeeper will constantly tell you you need to call to “update” your info but really it’s their way of suckering you to get to the office to sell you an upgrade. We are members here and be forewarned: once they have your money they will forget about you. What customer service they have before will be out the door once you sign the contracts. They give you “special members only vip numbers” that no one picks up. The property and suites are impressive but if you take a closer look everything is old and not well maintained. We stayed at a PS 2bdrm suite and the toilets constantly ran, one of the sinks leaked underneath, the a/c worked but it never totally got cold, the ceiling fan sounded like a plane propeller and they charged us for a bathroom glass shower for a crack we didn’t do. We were short on time and needed to catch our flight so we didn’t fight it much. The damage fee wasn’t astronomical but the handling of the situation was ugly in their part. They nickle and dimed it. Also for the amount of the membership fees and the all inclusive daily fees per guest, you’d expect to get something other than a slice of square processed ham in Saran wrap and some lettuce shreds as a salad bar. For breakfast it was pancakes and mini hotdogs and eggs EVERYDAY. No variety. No authentic dominican food was offered other than plátano maduro and yuca with onions. No staples like tostones, mangu, or mofongo. Night time wasn’t better. Specialty restaurants were closed (off season I get it but have something open for the guests you do have going there). Hamburgers are burned and then uneatened patties are recycled into their spaghetti and meatballs for kids lol We had to laugh at the situation otherwise our vacation would have been totally ruined. Night time entertainment was a 30 minute program then nothing. In the room there’s no cable and WiFi was sparse and our room was close to the reception. The reception people are super nice and setting up excursions is easy. Spa service promise you services upon signup and then say it’s not included when you go to the spa. They’re projecting an image of high class and upscale lifestyle but you get average at best (that’s being generous). Know what you’re getting into before going. It’s a good resort at best if you pay for the upgrades. Not the best. You won’t get your money’s worth here in my opinion.

There were several issues here. 1. They took us to an offsite location and attempted to have us sell a timeshare that we did not own. We had no idea where they were taking us and there was poor communication from staff regarding what was actually happening. 2. They dropped off an extra roll of toilet paper once during our stay, but left our room door wide open so that anyone could access it. 3. When we attempted to check out, they tried to claim that 5 towels were missing. 3 of those towels had already been picked up by housekeeping 2 days prior, but suddenly there was no memory of this. We had asked for new beach towels 4 days earlier and been told new towels were $9 for 2, but were now attempting to charge us $20 per towel. When we disputed this, they took our luggage and told our taxi we couldn’t leave, essentially holding us hostage in a foreign country. Do NOT book here unless you want to be scammed and held hostage.

I booked this under the time share under my father in law. The customer service was terrible. They got him so drunk to sign the paperwork that they didn’t allow for them to read the fine print. They were under the impression that it was all inclusive but the it was in fact NOT all inclusive. Between myself and my fiancé we had to pay $1,200 for food for 5 days. They originally told my father in law it was optional to pay for that food. They then proceeded to offer us a tour but because we advised that we weren’t going to buy anything they cancelled our tour and made us walk all the way back to where we were staying. We were VIP but they stated there were “levels” to VIP so we did not qualify for a golf cart. The restaurants are “themed” but they ALL serve the SAME food. This is not at all what it seems. Such a scam.

Very poor management and bad service. We stayed at presidential suits and on the first day a 5ft piece of glass broke, Unintencionaly when i put my backpack fill with just pants and shirts on it the glass broke. However i inmidiately whent to the front desk and reported it so they can clean it. Then they charge me 70$ us Witch i pay and they never clean the broken glass, i spoke to two manager and explaine then that i needed the hazardous glass from the room because i have a 4 year old that could get hurt and all i got was excuses expecially from Carol Suero. Ahe told me she didnt sent some one to clean it because i didnt pay for the broken glass on time putting my pregnant wife and son in denger

Cockroach in the bedroom (2nd floor). Tiny bugs all in the kitchen (had no food). Both bedroom jacuzzis broken. Informed them in day 1 and neither got fixed. Hot tub in the common area is very cold, also reported that days ago. Pool is cold. You’re harassed to buy upgraded packages or refer friends here. If you want your bedsheets changed, you have to buy the “all inclusive” package for an additional $130 USD per person, per day. The food in the all inclusive package is garbage. The suites are set up nicely and worth the price over an AirBNB if you have a car and can go get your own dinner outside campus. The kitchen is not stocked with cooking supplies, so don’t plan on making your own meals here.

Terrible stay. The worst ever. Food was very limited, drinks were far from the liquors we asked. the staff was ok, somehow friendly. Everything was so far from where we stayed. Never staying there again We got two room and one with a Jacuzzi, we couldn’t used it because the water was dirty. The other one had the A/C broken.

THIS PLACE IS HORRIBLE. The worst week of my life staying here. 1st day MY 1 year old slips on WATER LEAKING FROM THEIR BROKEN FRIDGE, AND THEY HAVE NOT A CARE IN THE WORLD! Problem after problem with the rooms! I changed rooms 4 times in my 6 day stay! AC NOT WORKING, Fridge broken, toilets not flushing, I can go ON and ON! Majority of workers here care NOTHING about customer service! Food was trash, same recycled meals everyday! The dine in restaurants were just as nasty! My 5 year old loses the cheap paper band the morning we leave and they charge $200 just for not turning in a child’s band, after you have already paid for it at beginning of trip!!!! Everything here is old and dated. Save your money and time and go elsewhere!!! YOUR LOSS IF YOU THINK ELSE WISE! SO MANY OTHER RESORTS, STAY AWAY FROM HERE!

This resort has many flaws and all of the reviews you see are true. Cosmetically the resort is beautiful. But When we first arrived our room had water stains on the ceiling which quickly lead to complete flooding in our THIRD STORY room. They went to remove us, but in order to change our rooms we were mandated for a three hour tour of the entire resort, which we did not want and made it clear we were not interested in buying. Once we got moved our second room had issues with plumbing, dirty bathtubs and dirty refrigerators and freezers. It is obvious they do not thoroughly clean the place between stays. Toilets did not work, only two of the three showers ran and two of the three tubs ran. We had to ask multiple times for new towels or sheets. The wifi router was right outside or room but we continued to not have any wifi, which is rough for me as I am a student studying online. The food was terrible, aside from the Brazilian steakhouse and the drinks we had were either too strong (NO MIXER) or too sweet. They could not find a spot with equal portions of liquor and mixer. There is also only one beer (Presidente) throughout the entire resort. The excursions though fun were not as described. They do not tell you about the hour and a half bus ride to the location and back which takes up 3 hours of your allotted time. On one of the excursions, the driver went back and forth for a missing client, wasting an extra hour. The beaches were nice but beware that your wristbands tell you which beaches you can go in. Some are nicer and quieter than others and you have to pay more money for those. Overall I would not recommend this resort to ANYONE, as it completely misconstrued my idea of an all inclusive all together. This was my first time at an all inclusive and I will likely never return to another again because of this experience.

Love it. We had a gorgeous 1 bedroom suite. Always clean and comfortable. The location is perfect. We are members so we had a golf cart. It has a breakfast and lunch restaurant, a pool and a popular bar. It was a great week here. Met many wonderful people. Can't wait till we return.

If I could give this a negative I would. HORRIBLE experience. We have stayed many places and this is by far the absolute worst. Complete waste of our money and vacation time from work. Things are not as they seem or as they tell you they will be. Although we paid for all inclusive we certainly did NOT get all inclusive. We do not have access to over 50% of the amenities and we have been treated as if we are lower class citizens because we don’t have a certain color band on or own a villa here. And we are on day 3 out of 7. We are stuck and miserable. We were told there was a full casino with card tables on site. LIE. We have to travel out of the resort to access a casino. We were told we would have access to all restaurants and amenities as timeshare owners. LIE. The manager Carol is rude as is the entire front desk staff. They don’t serve premium liquors or good food to anyone but “members” in areas that are guarded by security. The food is terrible. Certainly not world renowned chefs. We are barely eating because the food is terrible for “non-members” By far the worst all inclusive I have ever been to.

On arrival the place is very stylish, clean and tidy but all this was incredibly damaged by the fact that there was no electricity or water for more than 5 hours! At the time of checkout no one appeared to help us carry the luggage to the vehicle, since we had to cross the avenue where the parking lot is located. No one apologized to us for the fact that we couldn't shower or iron our clothes to go out at night or the fact that we had to use our phones to see inside the apartment. If you want to enjoy your time in Cabarete stay far away from this place!

I stayed at Presidential Suites for a week during spring break. I’ll start off with the good things; the rooms are pretty nice, comfortable and all. Maids come in every day to straighten up. The shuttle they have that runs every 25 minutes is amazing. It takes you all around the resort— tell them where you want to go. Next will be the alright and bad things. Food was alright— not much of a variety of food— the buffets are pretty good for breakfast and dinner— casa blanca is the best buffet in my opinion. The restaurants are a scam— they make “reservations” for you— and then forget to make them. The Mexican restaurant is the best one though. The bar was nice— drinks were good. CUSTOMER SERVICE IS THE WORST. Me and my family asked to get coffee; as we didn’t know that only VIP members get to go to certain restaurants. The golf cart driver Mario told us he would invite us there— he took us straight to the sales center. He got us our coffee all buttered up, getting us ready to get talked into their deal. They took us to the chairs to sit and in came the sales person— he was a nice person, chill and understanding. But he was still a sales person. My dad had said no multiple times in the most respectful way— the sales person still tried getting us to the sign the papers by giving us “deals” all while my parents were also asking for the full price; which he completely ignored. Then he went on to get his manager to work us in; his manager simply heard my dad say no and was respectful about it and finally left us alone.

Stayed here for a week. Rooms are really nice. Mosquitos (a few) do get in the room though which is annoying. The resort does offer fumigation though we didn't take it The fridge seemed old and the freezer was sealed where it was not able to be opened or used which was odd and weird. Furniture was really nice in the room. The food is super great at the lifestyle resorts. The Casablanca restaurant/buffet was really great; it's more open to the elements which keeps it more cooler. The other main restaurant/buffet The Pearl is more closed with less air flow making the restaurant a bit warmer. Both are good places to eat while staying at the restaurant. Lots of choices and a variety of seafood to choose from. This would be a good place to visit if you're looking for a nice resort to go to in the Dominican Republic. If you go here after the first couple of days just watch out for the person who greets you and offers to give you a gift or take you on a tour of the property as it's a sales pitch for their vacation club which is costly and problematic. The sales people can definitely be rather pushy there. Other than that it's a great place to go to. I'd recommend visiting here for sure but bring some good sunscreen and bug spray with you.

The rooms are very clean and taken care of daily. The day bartender Silvio at the Bourbon Street bar was awesome, and the night bartender Jose was equally great. The beach is within walking distance, there is access to multiple pools, and a few with swim up bars. There was one adults only swim area that kids were in and was not handled well. Overall, I was pleased with the restaurants and food.

people are super nice, the resort is nice. But the water pressure is zero, they don’t have good hot water pressure. We had to change our room but the new room also has water pressure issue. They also don’t have washer or dryer on site or in the room. They can do your laundry for cheap though.

This place was beautiful in an excellent location with friendly staff and great service all around. I would 💯 stay here again. It's close to Ocean World and has a lot of ocean front property. Juan takes the best photos!

We were “upgraded” to the Presidential suites from the Confresi Palm Resort and to be quite honest, I think it was a downgrade. The room was meh. The bed was a hide away bed and the mattress felt like one they used out on the beach beds. Extremely firm. The ceiling tiles were mismatched, discolored and even broken. The shower was okay and had semi moderate pressure, but be careful getting in, it’s slippery and they had no grab bars to assist. The people on one side of us kept trying to get into our room via both the connecting door and front door. When we tried to reach security, reception stated they would call them and tell them to stop. No, I wanted security to speak face to face with them. The room was conveniently located near a buffet, bar and pool, which was very nice. The best thing about the Presidential Suites was the staff, they were amazing!

This is a very nice resort. There's a lot to do just on the resort. The restaurants have some great food. The service at the bars and restaurants are good. The people are very friendly. I would recommend this place for a nice relaxing vacation.

This place was amazing, especially the staff. From Julissa at the desk to Elizabeth in housekeeping, even the gentlemen driving the golf carts, all were super friendly and very professional. I had conversations with many of the staff, and it was comforting to know that many have worked there for many years. I would highly recommend this resort. It was so huge, I don't think I got to see it all in one week. Also, their spa Ying- Yang was so amazing. We visited it twice. A must when visiting this resort.

It says that it is an adult only Hotel, nothing further from the truth. The WiFi is terrible, it only works at the lobby area. If you want good WiFi you will have to pay. The room that we got had a Non working A/C and not working fridge. After hours of complaining we were moved to another room were the A/C will work but will mot cold the room. the temperature inside was no colder than 78 degrees, which is ridiculous. To be able to have dinner in a restaurant you will have to reserve every single day, they would not do reservation in advance. If you are an "owner" or "chair circle" they will treat you like a millionaire otherwise expect to struggle. Oh! And don't forget that they will hunt you down to buy a timeshare and Spa service every single day (very annoying when you want to enjoy your days). There are no casinos, or discos in the Hotel, only games near the pool (12-4pm) and night shows (9:30 -10:30 pm). Drivers, housekeepers, restaurant employees, entertainment crew were amazing, all others Not so much!

‼️DO NOT COME HERE‼️ Office staff: insensitive, rude, no customer service skills, they do not care about your satisfaction or experience of their resort Maintenance: Are not capable of fixing anything. Rooms: Bed bugs, No A/c(in 90 degree heat), floors so filthy they turn your feet/sock's black, refrigerators leak water(1 year old son slipped and hit his head, for which there was no compensation), dirty water running in bath tubs, bathroom lights either don't work or they will give you a seizure Resort grounds: unkept, broken tiles laid sprawled for days for anyone to fall over and be injured, pools never cleaned, plastic cups littered everywhere Food: buffets of school cafeteria food at best, even in the dine in restaurants that you only have access to 3 timed per stay. Otherwise you are limited to the gross buffet. And nothing an be taken to your room Entertainment: There is none Drinks:weak and filled with ice Additional notes: 13+ pay adult all inclusive prices which include alcohol they cannot drink They give everyone flimsy plastic wrist bands which if you lose is $200(my 5 year old did). And they hold you hostage until you pay(would not open the front gate) Everyone we spoke to had a negative experience and no staff member cared Very few of the staff spoke English and even fewer were any sort of friendly.

The hammock broke in my Presidential Suite 5 minutes after arriving. I spoke with 4 different people who said they were en route and the last asked me which room I was in. 3 days not a mention.

I was staying at the Cofresi, but because I was a VIP, I had access to this complex. This place is quiet to relax, read and spend time calmly with family or friends. The pool leaves a lot to be desired and they only have 1 jacuzzi, at least it is hot/warm water. A little boring for my taste since there was no music around the pool either. I understand that it depends a lot on what environment you are looking for.

We stayed in the 2 bedroom suite with We have been to 3 specialty restaurants, and both buffets. Always found something to enjoy. If the drink tasted weak, we asked for another shot. Some too stong, asked for a glass of pineapple. Coffee very tasty. Comfort our son and his wife. Huge balcony, with a table where we played cards. Our son was in the hammock every morning reading. The trees, bushes and flowers are gorgeous. Lots of walking that we enjoyed taking a different path every day. The breakfast at Blues was excellent with an omelet station, lots if fresh fruits, yogurts and pastries in addition to 8 buffet choices. Comfortable beds, large bath towels. Wonderful friendly staff. We haven't encountered any problems but we arrived with lower expectations. Approach for timeshare, just say no and enjoy all the amenities you have available to you , 2 beaches, 14 pools, 11 bas and 10 restaurants.
