Had read some reviews on Trip Advisor about this pawn shop. On our cruise we had a few hours at Amber Cove. We ended up hiring local cab and paid the place a visit ($10 each way). My hubby and I were in awe with Amoy of selection they have! You have to remember a bunch of tourists come to Puerto Plata on gambling vacations and find themselves short of cash.. this is where their fine jewels go! Ended up getting a beautiful Amber and gold necklace and Tag Heuer watch for my hubby for a few hundred bucks. Definitely must check them out when visiting Puerto Plata. Their staff is so attentive. The jewelry girl that took care of us was so sweet and didn’t feel pressured.
