The food was AMAZING!!! Mofongo, Mangú, Steak, everything was delicious! Staff was super friendly and nice!!! Absolutely loved this experience!

Green Jacktar is adjacent to the resort, Blue JackTar with apartments for rent beside it and hotel accommodations. Overall, the food was quite good and made from fresh ingredients in house. Many of the staff didnt speak English well which made it difficult to communicate. Service was hit and miss as we came here 4 days out of the week we stayed. There were days their credit card machine didn't work and took forever to pay (a day they told me my credit card was the issue.... But I was able to use it elsewhere). I felt that you got better service if you spoke Spanish. My favourite dish there was the Risotto with steak (Vacio). Their gnocchi was also excellent! Our very favourite part of this restaurant was the bartender, Luis. He was really a star 🌟! Joyous, made great recommendations on beverages, understood his customers and really kind and cares. He made the place so much better. Overall, a good place to go. Live music during weekends, too.

Food was below average and desert was bad. Service was average, server barely understood English and even if he did he wasn’t too sure about his own menu.Place smelled like a cigar lounge even if it was open sky forcing us to move tables .A bad singer was hired that seriously was annoying at times with bad audio equipment to make matters worst . 28% surplus was added on the bill for an already overpriced menu .. the message here is that many other restaurants in the area with better everything. Believe me we are not that difficult and rarely do write reviews but this place needed it . Thank you

This stellar restaurant is located inside the Playa Dorado and it is worth a visit. The restaurant is located on the 7th hole of the golf course.. Everything we ate was exceptional, and I suggest trying the Yucca Mofongo, salmon and the burger is outstanding. Delicious! It was outstanding!!

Great place! My first visit! I will definitely return, and after more visits, I will probably rate them higher Relaxed atmosphere and delicious food.

Favorite restaurant! Every single thing we order was tasty! So delicious! My toddler loved their playground.

Food was great but like last year it happened again, because of the date, December 30th to January 1st, service was slow and sometimes we got our orders like 30 minutes later. I recommended last year to hire more personal for these days but I guess I no one listened to me. Hopefully for this coming December we can get a better service.

Horrible service and horrible customer service, these people were extremely rude because of a baby stroller, no empathy what’s so ever with the customer wouldn’t recommend this place at all, shouldn’t be an option for family vacation

O-M-G , this is a must-go place when visiting Puerto Plata, i’m amazed with the quality of the restaurant and the prices!! I thought they forgot to charge me for something!!! The beach is just a 2 min stroll, and the whole complex is just amazing, next time i’ll be staying there and eating in the Green Jack Tar again!

The food, drinks, and service was excellent! I would definitely recommend this restaurant to anyone. I plan on going back again before I leave.
