Phenomenal golf course. Super clean and immaculate maintenance of the course. Carts are just as nice and well maintained. Our caddies were great and personable. Just know that carts and caddies are part of the deal, so don't be surprised. The views along the course can't be beat. Beautiful to play along side of the Caribbean Sea.

I came for the golf. Nice setting, well maintained, and clean environment. They give lessons as well. They have a decent size dining area, be it breakfast (in or to go), lunch (starts at noon), and dinner (kitchen closes at 9pm) full bar. There is no bar cart on course, but you buy your drinks at bar or water and put them in portable cooler. As a non-member, the cost for a round is about 130.00 USD. (Includes round,cart,and caddie ,even if you don't want, you have to). If you're living here and plan to play 4 or more rounds, it's cost-effective to be a member of the club. Cost 500.00 USD yearly, and you pay up front 6 rounds minimum , 113.51 USD (18.91 USD a round) plus 21.24 USD for cart plus the mandatory caddie of 20.00 USD. and guests cost 40.00 USD plus cart. (Don't know if each person has to have own caddie). So, it's cost effective if you're gonna play 4 or more rounds a year to join the club.

Not bad but it needs some improvement. A shot out for the people who work there, especially to Alfredo Duracell who has a body full of energy and makes you staying fun.

My only reasoning of not giving the resort 5 stars is that the buffet food was no Bueno. Other than that, it's a great resort! Loved the free snorkeling!

I just came to the resort for the day, but I was definitely impressed. The pina colada and passion fruit mojito were amazing. The pools were great, cigar shop had great selections, and I loved the staff. Only complaint was some of the food at the lunch buffet wasn't the best, but with the large variety and other great choices, it was still very enjoyable!

I absolutely loved this all inclusive resort in Puerto Plata at Emotions by Hodelpa. This is my favorite due to many reasons; the quality of the service was top of the line and very friendly, the food and drink selection was delicious and awesome quality, the rooms were amazing and super extra clean, and the amenities were great and fun. I am recommending to all my family and friends as this has been the best experience in Puerto Plata.

Good exotic location away from the village. Anything not included very expensive. Very friendly staff and quite clean. Very noisy during the weekends and high season to the point you cannot sleep until the local guests decide to conclude their parties... Nice beach and relaxed atmosphere...

The resort was good. The best part t's only steps away from the beach. The service was also really good. When it comes to food, I suggest you stock to the buffet, we tried the Restaurant "octopus" and WAO we were very disappointed. Especially if you have kids in your party. All in all, we had a great time. Playing games, pool, beach and great service.

We were on a ship's excursion. The pool area looked nice but we chose to relax on the beach. Plenty of chairs and umbrellas to choose from. Too many vendors coming up to you to sell wares and pedicures. They did not want to take " No, thank you" for an answer. The food and drink were sub par at the beach restaurant. We did not check out the pool restaurant. Spent too much money on this excursion and would not do again.

Didn't stay there. The only thing I can comment on is the location which is great!

It was quiet and spacious. The place is dated and needs renovations. It could have been a bit cleaner with more activities. The alcohol and food was basic but palatable. I probably wouldn't visit again.

The hospitality at Sunscapes @ Playa Dorada Beach was unmatched! They were by far some of the most hospitable people all the way down to the housekeeper that took care of our suite! Gabriella was an absolute delight and one of the most pleasant crew members. Anny assisted us at one of our most difficult and challenging times and she got us through without any issues, she was absolutely great!! The entire crew at Suncapes was amazing there was not a moment of negative our entire stay, we absolutely loved it!!!

This was a super nice resort. People were friendly but I was on an excursion and could not leave when we were ready. I would have had more fun if we had a crowd of people with us

I did a shore excursion to this place and relaxed on the beach. The beach was pristine. The food was top-notch. The only negative was the throng of people trying to sell you trinkets and pedicures.

The people that work here made it a amazing experience I recommend this place all the time and look forward to going back one day myself with my family!

Great price, very clean hotel. The staff was very polite and attentive. The nightly activities were great. This is a place that I would definitely recommend and visit again. The bar staff at the night disco are very knowledgeable in preparing drinks. The food was great. Cons: I couldn't stay longer.

This is specifically for the Emotions location at Playa Dorado. Great resort for vacation only (do not have an event here). The swim up room was my favorite part - highly recommend paying more for semi-private access to pool. Food was not great, but edible. Got sick off of every meal, so started only eating beans and rice and fruit and stayed away from everything else. Loved the coffee and dessert shop as well as the spa with private roof top deck/pool that can be used if you have a service provided. DO NOT have a wedding at this location, you will get screwed by the staff and they will do everything possible to ruin your day and everything leading up to it and after. This is a budget resort and that is what you will get for your event.

Hotel Emotions, very poor service everywhere (cleaning room, customer service, etc). The only great thing is the beach and some servers on the buffet restaurant. I do not recommend this hotel at all.

Well just to clarify, we stayed in Emotions resorts by Hodelpa. We had a blast very 👪 oriented, very good customer service really good food. The Italian and Dominican restaurant called Oregano was da bomb. Small resort compare to the 1's we have been, but the attention , the service was better than a bigger result. The have a membership program not time share worth listening too. Will definitely come back to Emotions resorts 4 sure.

Arrived at hotel, got keys to the room, people in it! Back to the lobby, buffet had same food, there is a bar with a sign "open 10am - 11pm" this bar opened @3pm, there was no show at night, the pool bar had one bartender! There is a great customer service at the beach grill, amazing personnel, beach was great, pool clean, only 2 restaurants that are "a la cart" were open, if you have more varieties on food, full staff at the bars, and more guys like the one at the beach grill, you will be great
