Restaurant is well taken care of with great views of the ocean. The menu has a host of delicious appetizers, entres, and drinks. A must visit in that area.

Best food, service, and atmosphere on the Malecon. Highly recommend it to those looking to interact with the local professionals of Puerto Plata.

This was a stop on our tour and I’m so glad. We ended up staying longer. The food was good and the drinks were also good. Service was good, helpful and friendly. It was visually pleasing. Had some local shops outside. I totally recommend.

Had a good taxi driver Freddy, who took us here and made sure they took care of us. Had seafood mofungo and fried plantains. Some of the best mojitos around. Best views of the beach and ocean where you can take a walk after or rent a chair and umbrella.

Nice restaurant on the beach of Puerto Plata. It’s by the malecón. The cruises on the city bring their passengers here to relax , enjoy the beach and the restaurant. The beach is calm. By the restaurant there are gift shops, where I normally get some jewelry for good price. The food is good and prices are ok. If you come in your car can park on the side of the street. The restaurant is open from 10 am to 10 Pm.

Stopped here after a city tour of Puerto Plata on a port day on a cruise. Nice beach, not over crowded at all! Food and drinks available but they aren’t cheap. $35 for a Corona and a Blue Hawaiian” after tax and currency exchange, probably won’t do that again😅 Had a great time at the beach though! Beautiful water, nice sand, staff was very friendly, took some pictures for us and very accommodating. Beach chairs and umbrella were included on our tour, also have bed loungers available. Would recommend stopping in! Thanks guys!

Very very disappointing. We took a cruise and rented a car and stumbled upon LaCarihuela based on a local’s recommendation. Upon arriving we got our menus and then the server asked us if we were there on a cruise and told us he had a “special” menu that was “more faster”….. Well, the “special” menu was basically a limited option menu at 30% higher prices. Even the exact same beer was higher priced from the regular menu to the “special more faster” menu. We waited almost 2 hours (not exaggerating at all) for our food and finally decided to ask for our check. We never even got the waters we initially asked for when we placed our order! I went to a restaurant with my family (including a one year old) expecting food. Wasted two hours and left hungrier with a grumpy one year old. Not a pleasant time. Though the view was nice. We got two local beers (republic maybe?) and they made us a fruit smoothie for little man and it was $30 usd… ridiculous. They really need more staff. They had 3 servers to cover I’d say about 50 patrons. Maybe closer to 60.

Wonderful server, fantastic margaritas, whole fried red snapper was done perfectly and the shrimp quesadillas presentation was the best ever. Beautiful views, nice clean restaurant.

The view was amazing, it was a quiet Sunday. Ceviche was surprisingly good but they don’t give you anything to eat it with. The fried fish was good but I don’t think it was fresh.. had a little extra taste.. slow service just like everywhere in the DR

Great atmosphere with beautiful ocean views. Our server Joseph was entertaining, funny, attentive, and had a wonderful spirit. The food was so fresh and delicious. You can tell that this great place is very family oriented and kid friendly.

Came here on a Saturday night and the restaurant wasn't too busy. Didn't wait too long for our food but the restaurant wasn't packed. They gave us the menu in pesos and thought the prices were reasonable based on the portion size we got. The food overall was delicious as well as the drinks. I would recommend.

We were here during a port day on our cruise and really enjoyed it! We tried the Big Seafood Mofongo and it came with lobster, mussels, clams, shrimp, octopus, and calamari. I would highly recommend. We also enjoyed a couple of Pina Coladas and got our feet in the sand. The beach was beautiful there and could’ve easily spent a couple hours.

No wait to get in. Semi- friendly, but quick service. Menu is all in Spanish. Prices on the higher side, More suited for tourists. Great view of the beach and ocean. Free wifi. Only one local beer on the menu. Food is above average. Nice place to sit in the afternoon and drink Presidente beer. I was impressed with the chilled beer mugs.

Food was great the waitress was excellent.. Would have been 5 star except one of the dishes was chicken Morongo and I didn't expect for pork to be added to the meal..very disappointed. Apparently bacon is not considered pork. Menu should be more specific and maybe an English menu would be helpful in the future.

Right in the beach. Amazing views and excellent food. Service was great with good size portions, nothing better than Fresh seafood. Mojitos we’re excellent !! Vibe and service gets an A+. Prices were affordable. Highly recommend and will visit again before going home.
