This place is very popular! The prices are great. I got baked chicken with beans+rice and vegetables with a water for less than $5 USD. The chicken was very dry.

Good tasting food at a reasonable price. It's a nice little out of the way place to sit relax and enjoy a lunch.

The lady from the Airbnb Beach Escape Casa Dominiruso said this is where the locals go to eat. The food was genuine and really tasty. I’m going back tomorrow.

Best kept secret in town. Anytime you see a lot of locals eating that tells you good food and pricing

Our group of 7 stopped by after a trip to the Teleferico. We arrived during the busy lunch hour and took our order to go. The food was very authentic and delicious. Our choices included the pollo guisado, cerdo guisado and pollo frito. They offer two types of rice and various side dishes. Everyone in our group enjoyed their food. The place is clean, the staff was attentive and helpful and the prices are very reasonable.

Remember the name of this place... tell your taxi/transportation driver by name, "Como En Familia" Amazing local spot, deep within Puerto Plata... this is where the locals come to eat lunch... crowded... Japanese refer to these types of restaurants as "okazuya," where they make a bunch of dishes and you just go down the line and customize your plate and chose what you want... I will research and find out the name of this rice made with chunks of pork... unbelievable taste... the fried chicken... its crispy but tender... my plate, two pieces of chicken and an order of rice,, was 300 pesos... dirt cheap if you convert to US dollars...
