UPDATED/EDITED: There must be new owners/cooks, etc... Definitely not the same. The arepas were thinner and very, very crunchy (not burnt... but very cracker-like crispy). The garlic sauce is not the same. It didn't taste nearly as good as it used to. Empanadas are still good. And prices have almost doubled (new normal all around town). Tasty arepas and empanadas. Just like my Venezuelan aunt makes them. Wait time can be long (very common for this country). Even if the place is empty, still takes long.

One of my favorite places in Puerto Plata. They have probably the best cachapa in town! I venezolano great!

Pretty tasty food and many gluten free options (all of the arepas and more). A very cheap option for lunch or dinner.

Pleasantly surprised, this place was amazing. The cachepas and empanadas were my favorites, but the arepa and patacones weren’t far behind. Very reasonable prices. Very nice staff. Beer could have been colder, but the food was so good I didn’t care

Great arepas, very nice staff, and A/C!! Which was very hard to find in Puerto Plata and felt great with the heat and humidity.

Good arepas! The staff members are super nice and friendly. Fyi, they have AC which is a must in Puerto Plata.

We've eaten here a few times, it's a clean place and the food is good. The front windows are to dark and it always looks closed to me, lol

Loved this place, Food was excellent! Yolina took great care of us. The fresh fruit juices were a little too sweet for me, but my family really enjoyed it.
