I shop here when I don't feel like taking the bus to walmart and Im out of my favorite coffee, Cafe Marino con azucar. (I can't taste the sugar so I'm not breaking my self imposed no sugar rule!) Ley has a nice selection of cheeses and deli items. The produce department looks decent. I'm usually able to find just about everything I need. There's two levels. Downstairs is all the food, cleaning supplies. Upstairs you'll find clothes, home goods, shampoos, skin care, toiletries, etc. Start upstairs so you don't have to lug your basket, although I've left mine at the bottom of the stairs many times. The banos are up stairs, on the exit side, above the Farmicia. Now...I do a lot of walking around here and I walk from my place, which is about a mile. I also hydrate a lot. So, by the time I get there, sometimes I need to pee. I learned very early on to always carry some kind of wipe wherever I go (NO FLUSH!) because they have none. Every now and then there might be a paper towel in the bathroom, its not the norm. People are friendly and i never have trouble finding a helpful employee, even with my limited spanish. Located in centro, so, super convenient for just about anywhere. Go explore!

Glad we found this place. If you are planning to make your own meals, you will be pleased with the variety offered here. We had originally thought we would take a cab out to Walmart, but everything we needed was here and reasonably priced.

This place has a little of everything, from food to laundry and cleaning and pet food. I found what I needed in a minimal amount of time. The deli makes a decent ceviche too. They take Visa and MC. Banamex atm is inside. Has a small pharmacy. The shampoo and hygiene supplies are upstairs.

While on vacation in Puerto Vallarta, MX we used this grocery store to shop for the food we prepared and ate during the week. The store had most items we were looking for.

Local grocery store. Very good vegetable section and prices. Meat section not so much. Only 2 cashiers making it very slow. Shelves always seem a mess with not much order. Could be much cleaner.

Have all the things you basically need cheaper prices on some products but not all

It's OK. The store doesn't have good inventory control and is considerably less clean than the competition. We much prefer Soriana or La Comer.

The ATM here dispenses pesos and is super safe (located in the store by exit of checkouts). Selection of alcohol and food was decent but probably not super helpful for someone looking for things for a typical American diet. Produce was delicious and fresh, the wine bottle selection was decent and pretty cheap. DO NOT use the bathroom if at all possible (it is horrible and gross and there’s no way to flush)

Nasty produce, store is always a mess. Things rotting on the shelves. Maybe 2 registers open & a line half way across the store. No pride in doing a good job there. Too bad there isn’t a better closer option, the people who shop there deserve it.

Been here a few times. Last 2 were weird. Was trying to get some fried chicken, the lady almost put the chicken in the box, then went to help another costumer. Couldn't believe it, I left. Next I was at the checkout, guy said he doesn't have change, so I left again. I guess you need exact amount for purchasing.

Kind of fun to go through this grocery store. Lots of stuff, sort of familiar and sort of different (from a Canadian perspective).

Good selection of foods for visitors as well as local. There are often lineups though with many closed tills for check out. Prices seem reasonable and convenient.

I shopped Ley’s when I first got here back in November because I thought it was the closest walking store for me, and thankfully it isn’t because I have not been back since! Overall, it was very dirty and pretty picked over (I couldn’t even find coffee filters)-but understandable since it serves the heart of tourists in that busy area. If you have to use the bathroom, do everything in your power to hold your bladder! The bathrooms were absolutely disgusting-filthy and smelly! If you’re here for a quick holiday and forgot a few things, you could try and find them at Leys.. but if you’re here for longer, I’d shop elsewhere.

Fantastic prices, friendly service, and some products are in English. For the ones that aren't, refer back to what I said about friendly service!

In a busy area right in the heart of Puerto Vallarta Casa Ley is a good option for vacationers to shop and pay local prices for groceries, liquor and other household items people may have forgotten for their trip. I find myself in PV a forgetful person and keep going to Casa Ley for things I forgot. One thing you have to remember is that when you are ready to leave the store you will encounter long lines. Be prepared to wait patiently. And when you finally pay for everything you bought remember to tip your bag person. The store usually employs older people to come and help bag groceries. They don't get paid by the store and rely mostly on tips. So please be kind and give them a nice tip. They usually get loose change and are always very polite even when you don't tip. So try Casa Ley for your groceries and forgotten items. You will be surprised how much money you save.

Really inexpensive! Good selection! But they need to get more cashiers.. I often spend 15-20 mins waiting to checkout

Seems like a good supermarket, except I couldn't find Valentina hot sauce, and they had no bags to sell. I had to go out to the street and buy a beach tote.

Nice full service grocery store within walking distance of historic Puerto Vallarta. 5 de Diciembre, el Cerro, etc, a few blocks north of the Malecon. There is an upstairs where you will find personal products, clothing, etc. I recommend going upstairs first so you don't leave a full cart downstairs unattended.

Good selection of fresh fruits and vegetables, and staple items like coffee, bread, cereal, etc. Only large scale grocery store in the area. Prices very reasonable.

Great grocery market. I get my produce there. Hard-working staff. Prices are decent. Drawback is some of the vege produce is really decayed. I get fresh spinach, the pkgd kale sometimes, cilantro, key lime, grapefruit, mango, and non-produce staples. I don't like their Roma tomatoes, onions. I'm vegan.

It's an ok grocery store. Good for basic needs. Good prices. Only larger grocery store in Centro. Definitely could use a remodel, kinda old looking so it's gives a dirty vibe. Never enough check out lanes open. If you want basic kitchen staples come here. If you want the nicest and most expensive grocery store go to La Comer.

Great grocery store in the heart of 5 De Diciembre. Fresh baked goods in the morning with a great selection and prices. Tends to get picked over by night but restocked in morning. Bring your own bags.

👍 This Walmart is funny cause of the two in town this one you don't have to know if a cruise ship is in town on if you want to skip that shopping trip or not. That being said getting a cart at this location is like being in the Hunger Games, "may the odds be ever in your favor". You will watch people...

😐 A very nice store, but beware of prices. Hence only 3 stars. Your first clue is that most things have no price tag on them. (update 2023, many items now have prices, so thats good.) Second clue, you usually only see tourists there, seldom will you see locals shopping there. Some things are normal in...
