This place was beyond my expectations. I heard that it was good but it was freaking amazing. From the very beginning of entering the restaurant, the service was impeccable. The food was perfect. I can not give this place a higher level of complements other than to give it my full endorsement. I'm very impressed with this place and I will definitely be eating here again soon.

Today I am here to bring to you a very thought provoking review. I had the pleasure of visiting this restaurant recently and wanted to share my experience with you all. First, I want to give three stars to the restaurant for their welcoming hospitality and delicious appetizers. My husband and I with our friend had our dinner in here. I enjoyed having Baby Squid Mediterranean Style dish in particular. For our main dish, my husband had the Pork Tenderloin with White Beans, which was delicious. We also had a Vegan Paella that didn't turn out quite as expected. It took 45 minutes to be prepared, as they cook fresh for every order, but unfortunately it wasn't cooked through properly. Although this restaurant may be overpriced, this experience taught me the value of great service and fresh ingredients. We cannot forget to appreciate the efforts that restaurants take to provide us with memorable experiences through food and offering us complimentary dessert and drink. In conclusion, I highly recommend this restaurant for their hospitality and delicious dishes. We come here not only to enjoy the food but also to appreciate the effort and hard work that goes into creating an amazing culinary experience. Don't forget to appreciate good food! Thank you.

Loved loved loved! Amazing food, great prices for the portions and an amazing view! We ate pescatarian, and there were plenty of options. The desert combo was so heavenly and made my friend's birthday so special, especially with the fireworks! (It was the eve before New Year's Eve). Service was impeccable, and the artwork, done by the owner, was so tasteful and beautiful. They were also so accommodating when I called in to change my reservation, even though it was a hectic time of year. I would revisit anytime I am back in Puerto Vallarta!

The location, the terrace, simply amazing. The food quality and presentation, the service, the live band...we even had a surprise firework from one of the boats near the shore. The prices very decent and the sanitary protocole was reassuring. They just forgot to bring the last dish but were classy by offering desert as an apology. I highly recommend it for any occasion

Came here to celebrate our wedding anniversary. Service was phenomenal. Food was excellent and so delicious. I recommend the paella and any of their seafood. Their grilled pulpo (octopus) was just amazing. The view on the roof top was spectacular. I highly recommend you come here during your visit in Puerto Vallarta. It’s one of the most excellent place to dine in. Cheers!

Great experience at Barcelona Tapas! Our waiter Omar was kind and helpful, food was excellent, views were spectacular. Flavour is rich and savoury, lots of different items to try from! We had the smaller sized seafood paella and it was enough for four people to share with 4-5 different tapas as well as a steak entrée. Dessert was also delicious! Highly recommend

We love this place so much! It’s always our first go to when we come to PV. The beautiful jazz music on the rooftop as the sun sets across the water really creates the perfect beginning to a vacation! The food is incredible! My absolute favorite item is the Spanish tortilla it is so phenomenal. I have tried to recreate it at home but failed lol 🤪 definitely order this, it is the first item on the menu for a reason. We also really love the baked goat cheese. Can’t wait to go back

We came here for lunch back in November based on recommendations from our friends. We were not disappointed. We were craving for Paella, Sangria and both were excellent. Paella is freshly made so it takes a while to cook. We also ordered different tapas, Mexican specialties which were excellent as well. The view is amazing, overlooking the entire bay. Service was really good, attentive. If you walk to the restaurant, street access is a bit steep but this is why you get an amazing view. Get a taxi otherwise. They have an elevator to access restaurant which is on top of the building. Our friend told us that dinner was amazing due to ambiance and music but didn’t experience it since we were on a cruise

This is an amazing restaurant with small plates of yummy food. I ate it all and then remembered i didn't take photos, it was that Good!! Staff (Juan) was wonderful. I will definitely return. If you are in Puerto Vallarta don't hesitate to visit you will have an excellent meal.

If you're looking for an excellent tapas experience in PV - look no further. The food was incredible - we ordered the Angus Beef Brochette (moist and flavourful beef, amazing pickled onions), the Tri Grilled Mushrooms (cooked to perfection) and the Eggplant with Three Cheeses (decadent!). We were also given bread with oil and potato salad as a starter. We finished it all off with a complimentary dessert *cream* tequila. The atmosphere was also lovely with beautiful views of the city and super friendly staff. Don't hesitate - go go go!

If I could give this even more stars I would! Wow, such a great experience. First of all, this was recommended to us by a local chef from a cooking class we took. He recommended it for the view but that was just the tip of the iceberg. Everything we had was just fantastic. From the best potato salad I've ever had served with the bread and olive oil, to the fantastically tender steak skewers. It was all well prepared, tasty, and beautifully plated. Then there's the service! My goodness everyone was so attentative, helpful, knowledgeable in both Spanish and English... it's the best service you'll get in PV hands down. It's a bit more expensive (and well deserved) but for 2 of us, a bottle of delicious Argentine wine, 5 tapas and complimentary apps and dessert tequila, the check was still under $100 us. Plus, if that wasn't enough, this girl came around taking pictures and gave us a free 5x7 of us for the night. Loved this place. I highly recommend!

What an amazing experience. We’ve had tapas in Barcelona and this place beats its namesake. The croquettes were by far the best I’ve ever had. Service was incredibly professional. This is a must for anyone visiting Puerto Vallarta.

Barcelona Tapas strives for excellence, and it shows. Ownership has consistently re-invested hard-earned pesos back into the business. The roof top expansion is fantastic, the new kitchen is clean and professional. The smartest investment they have made? Staff. Many of the staff have been with the business for well over a decade. They are friendly, polite and professional. The food is consistent and delicious. Try the Paella cooking lesson. Top notch experience!

A 'must visit' in Puerto Vallarta. Service is wonderful. The tapas menu is great for sharing and every dish we ordered was delicious, including plenty of vegetarian options. Make a reservation for an hour before sunset and dine as the sun sets over the Pacific ocean. Great for groups and also a lovely date night. Highly recommend.

Had an amazing evening with the 6 of us. Treated like royalty, always attentive to our needs, felt spoiled and got an amazing thunderstorm and they were supportive during the storm. Live music was amazing...best experience ever

Great view of the bay! Someone from the Bay Area recommended me this restaurant, overall the service is great and food is good. Try to come during lunch hours, enjoy de view and great tapas! They are on the rooftop, bring your singlases and put some sunscreen on.

Wow!! Great tapas!!! View is spectacular and service from Federico and Sergio was amazing. I had the sangria, eggplant with 3 cheeses and the shrimp in garlic oil. Flavors, texture, presentation was first class.

Barcelona Tapas was recommended to us 2 years ago & has become an annual necessity for dining when we visit Puerto Vallarta. From the delicious homemade bread & potato salad given at the start of the meal to the various Tapas (all delightful!) & the amazing Paella, Enrique & Juan Antonio made our experience unforgettable!! The view is spectacular as well. The live music was wonderful as well. Truly a wonderful experience from start to finish!! We'll be back next visit to Puerto Vallarta!!

Visited today based on recommendations and was not disappointed. The view of the bay was phenomenal (the photo I attached doesn't really do it justice). I ordered the beef skewer and loved it, and the house potato salad was phenomenal as well (best potato salad I've ever had). I'll definitely be returning and ordering the paella. It is a bit pricey, but so worth it.

Food and service was good here, although we felt quite rushed. For example, within 15 minutes of sitting down at our table, we had ordered and been served wine, water, house bread and potato salad, and ordered our 4 different tapas plates. We felt quite rushed, and the restaurant wasn't busy so we should've been given more time. The food was excellent, with lovely presentation. All delicious. There are incredibly beautiful views from the restaurant tables... but something that needs to be mentioned is that our table was far too dark. It really needed a small lamp or a candle to help us see the menu and our food. We used the flashlights on our phones to see the menu. Highly recommend this restaurant so you can share different small plates of food.

This place is excellent! The food, the staff, and the atmosphere! Thank you to Vincente for the excellent service. The view is also amazing. Will definitely be going back. Zero complaints which is almost unheard of for a resturant. Thank you for a wonderful evening.

We had an amazing experience. It was the first time since 2019 and the quality of the food, staff and ambience was still the same. Our server Juan Gil was very attentive and made sure we were satisfied. We had the soup of the day (clam chowder), oriental ceviche, and Iberian ham with toast. They were all up to our expectations. Juan gave us a complimentary drink for our anniversary, which was delicious. We will definitely come back next time we visit PV.

EXCELENTE!!!! I tend to only eat Mexican food when I'm visiting Mexico, but this place was HIGHLY recommended by a local chef. They have things I can't get back home so decided why not. This place has SO much to offer! Service was among the top I've ever experienced. The view is AMAZING. While sipping on my delicious margarita de maracuyá, I was surprised to get to watch a baby humpback whale breach three times! The food was FABULOUS. Superb ambiance. Absolutely go here!

This is one of Vallartas best restaraunts and definitely the best in terms of spanish style tapas. The service was top notch, the ambience and views can't be beat and the food was truly excellent. We had a fantastic lunch here and highly reccomend it.

This place is amazing. The service from reception to dessert was top-notch. We got the cheese/meat appetizer and a paella for the entre' plus a cream puff for dessert. Everything we ate was excellent, along with top-notch service. If you want sunset, make a reservation ahead of time.

Great views. Service is very good. Good selection of wines. The shrimp scallop mussel veggie saffron rice paella was very good. Beautiful sunset if your here on time. Reasonably priced.

This place is breathtaking!!! The second you go up the elevator and the doors open, it’s like you are transported into another world with incredible views, wonderful food options, and some of the best service I have experienced in a while! Our waiter was so kind, thoughtful, and funny and made our experience 10x better by making us feel like royalty. They really do spoil you here and it is such a genuine and friendly type of service and does not feel forced.

Great service. I had the salmon, a salad and wine. Had a dirty gin martini for dessert. My only beef is that the olives should have been bigger. The view is lovely. A bit pricey for PV, but the ambiance was worth it.

Excellent experience! The tapas were superb as was the sangria! These aren’t your ordinary tapas. They have a gastronomical element to them which makes them super tasty. Better than what you can find at most tapas places in Spain. The views here are also fantastic! Make sure to make a reservation as they don’t take walk ins.

What a beautiful evening! Great view of the bay. Delicious tapas, that surprised us by being bigger that we expected. Friendly and very attentive service. And when it rained, we got to experience the rain from up above. It was our first visit and certainly not the last!

We got caught in a rainstorm and stopped in here. Beautiful views from the balcony. The tamarind margarita is delicious! The food is also fantastic and fun to share so you can try new things. We will return.
