👍 A little bit of a tourist trap, but really good nonetheless. The margs are very strong (in a good way) and the food was fresh. The guac is made right in front of you! The atmosphere was a bit quiet and sad feeling - it was pretty empty. Overall it’s pretty good but there are much better options in... This place was recommended by a friend and we are glad she did!! The food was delicious and the brisket was top notch better than any I have had in the US. The staff was absolutely incredible and made our experience perfect. We went as far as to meet the Chef to let him know he did a fantastic job and one step further we went and spoke to the manager to let her know how delighted we were. Thank you again for a great afternoon and we will return here in the future!

Our concierge at the Marriott suggested this restaurant to us. It was absolutely fantastic authentic Mexican food. Also the margarita was the best I have ever had. Additionaly they make the fresh salsa and guacamole table side to order which was a first for me! Everyone at our 7 person table enjoyed both the experience and the food in equal measure.

I came here because of recommendations. I was very hesitant to walk in when I saw the pricing and I also didn’t see many locals in there. Also it’s literally right in the middle of the tourist area. Having said all that, the food was incredible. I truly enjoyed the vibes in the restaurant. But I do think it’s way overpriced. That’s why it gets 4 stars and not 5.

Okay Mexican food with not so pleasant dining environment. The chair and dishes are still have stains. Extremely dark for a dining place considering it is NOT a bar. No AC nor fan available, it would be hot and humid. We could like to try some lcoal special dishes but got quite disappointed with their recommendations. We got a slight diarrhea right after the meal even though we are still in the restaurant. Not to mention their price is the same as the ones as the five diamond hotel we stayed at.

This was the only restaurant that we went to outside our all exclusive resort - and it was perfect! The ambiance, staff, food, and drink were all fantastic! I highly recommend eating here!

I love this place! There was dancing and celebration throughout our experience. Everyone on the staff was so friendly, even people that didn’t seat us or wait on us or have anything to do with us. It’s near the church. It was a little bit on the pricier side for traditional, but the experience and ambiance was worth it.

Wouldn’t recommend for their vegetarian cuisine. I ordered the enmoladas which were completely bland. The starters were good though (stuffed mushrooms were great). Maybe fajitas would have been better but I didn’t want to keep ordering fajitas my entire trip. The vibe of the place is great and the photos come out beautiful.

If you are visiting Puerto Vallarta, this is the place to go for a lunch or dinner that feels like visiting your local friend’s home. The service is outstanding, extremely welcoming and friendly staff. “Nino” knows how to create customers for life. Best table-side Guacamole, and generous Margaritas. We had the Tortilla Soup and “Sopa de Mar” which is like a seafood soup with a full size crab sitting on the edge! One of the best hidden gems I’ve ever been to. Thank you guys for a fantastic lunch!

Nice atmosphere and good service. I had the chicken fajitas that were delicious yet s bit greasy. Ask for less oil! They did a table Side homemade roasted salsa that was a surprise and very good! I’ll be back to try another dish soon! Walked by for two years and glad I finally went in! Was at 4:30 so only one other couple There! Next to the Cathedral Guadalupe so maybe that’s why it’s a bit expensive for normal fajitas.

A beautiful brightly coloured traditional place for lunch or dinner right by the cathedral. There's no AC but there are plenty of fans to keep you cool and the decor is a feast for the eyes. We ate mixed Molcahete and chicken enchiladas and they were very tasty. Not the absolute best we've had in PV but very good and very generous portions. We were really well taken care of by the super-friendly staff and a young man named Robert made salsa at our table. It was the most delicious salsa I ever tasted. We spent around 1500 pesos which included three cocktails and a beer. We left feeling very well fed!

Excellent food. The lobster was perfectly prepared. The owner came by and poured extra tequila into our margaritas as soon as they were served. The tableside guacamole was excellent. Definitely will add to our must visit list next time we are in PV.

The food is amazing here and the service is stellar. Caesar makes the best mezcalitas I have had in Jalisco. The place is very beautifully decorated as well.

Very dark inside but all the lights make for a romantic atmosphere. Nice spacing between the tables so you’re not bothered by other people dining. The salsa created table-side was very delicious. Friendly and attentive service. Expensive pricing. The mariachi band came to the tables and asked for $150P per song (maybe that was a joke) and the music was a little bit too loud or such a small space and for us to enjoy talking with each other but luckily they did not play the whole time. Volume turned down would’ve been perfect. We also were there on a day where the high for the day was around 90°F and the place was a bit stuffy even though they had fans all over the place it was still a bit hot and stuffy. The loud band, and the hot and stuffy conditions is the only reason it did not get a five star for atmosphere. I still would recommend to others. There was a very nice Mexican feeling, which is why I came to Mexico.

Excellent food, particularly the homemade salsa and guacamole! On the pricey side, but large portions. Definitely worth a try. Right across the street from the Our Lady of Guadalupe Iglesia.

Best food in Puerto vallarta so far.. the service was off the walls, the food had a unique taste. I could say home make taste, I can't wait to go back. Also love music and entertainment by the servers JUST WOAH🤯

Casa Tradicional Cocina Mexicana was a good place for the eight of us, but a bit overpriced in my opinion. Service a 5☆, Ambiance 4☆, Food was average 3☆. Margaritas were just OK.

OMG OMG OMG this food!!!❤️❤️❤️ Even thinking about this food, I am so happy. It was incredible! The salsa and guacamole was amazing. The server made it in front of the table. The vegetables were grilled, the flavour was like an explosion of flavour in your mouth. We ordered the special, with lobster steak prawns and vegetables. The steak melted in your mouth. I can't even describe how good it was! I had a spicy margarita...which was so spicy and delicious. The special was a little expensive but so worth it. This place is a must!!!! The servers were so great and the music. The whole thing was great!

We were referred (like many) by a shop owner with a free chips/salsa card. It seemed a little "touristy", but the cool/dark/comfy space provided a perfect break from the late-afternoon sun. The service was great (team effort) and everyone seemed genuinely nice and happy to be there. The fresh food and drinks hit the spot too!

Absolutely amazing food and drinks. Go see Eduardo, he’s amazing! We needed to be out in 20 min and they sped up our order to ensure we left on time and even gave us to go cup for my marg, which was very strong. Food was amazing and so was the service!!! Great spot in a beautiful area right by the church. Highly recommend!!!

I highly recommend starting off with the Tres Chiles Octopus. The sautee just makes this dish a hundred times better than it already is. The Traditional Zarandeado was just perfect. It was delicious and could have done without the salad. Top it off with a mango smoothie to finish your meal. This place has an amazing, lively atmosphere. Friendly waitstaff and reasonable pricing.

For great authentic Mexican food native to puerto vallarta. A must try is their Chile relleno, and don't forget any of their seafood dishes. They even prepare the roasted tomato salsa and quacamole right by your table to ensure freshness.

Make sure you visit this restaurant tucked away off the malecon. It has a good variety of Mexican dishes. They make fresh salsa at your table. I recommend ordering the fajitas. Not only are they delicious 🤤 but the waiters also put on a bit of a show before serving them. Toilets are also clean and well maintained. 🌮🇲🇽

Wow, this restaurant was very impressive. From the name we were worried it may be touristy, but the dishes were authentic and incredible. They had huitlacoche (moldy corn delicacy)tortillas which has such a complex flavor. The salsa and guac which was prepared right in front of us was so flavorful and fresh. The auguachiles we're the best i had outside of our house. And the pulpo was cooked to perfection. This place was great

We really enjoyed the open-air atmosphere. The food was fresh, hot and it tasted great! A wonderful gem of a restaurant.

Lively and fun, this restaurant is a real treat. Do yourself a favor and order chicken or steak fajitas. They are delicious, but the service is even more spectacular. Table made salsa was unbelievable. Hands down the best salsa I had while visiting Puerta Vallarta. Would of given 5 stars if I had enjoyed the margarita, but it seemed to be missing something.

What a wonderful find! The man at a tequila shop handed us a coupon for fresh salsa & guacamole. Everything was very good and the restaurant is cute, staff friendly!

We came here on New Years Eve for drinks and our bartender was so awesome and fun, we remembered this place when we were looking for dinner a few days later. So glad we came back! The service here is fantastic. They make fresh salsa and guacamole at your table. I ordered the mixed Molcajete and it was superb! I had to take home half , it was so much food. My daughter loved the meat dish she ordered too but we can’t remember it’s name now. Drinks were great too!

What an amazing experience!! This is a must visit in puerto vallarta! The decor amazing, staff amazing, food and drink amazing. The guacamole gets mad in front of you and is amazing. What was even more awesome for my husband's 30th birthday they brought him cake and sang him happy birthday.

The food here was fantastic. Stumbled in accidentally and it was my first stop as soon as I arrived in PVR. Incredible good and service. They offer salsa made fresh at your table when you order and I think it was the best one I had the entire trip. I also had the 'bi-color' soup that I'm still dreaming about (poblano pepper and corn). You have to try this place.

A locally owned family restaurant that takes traditionally recognized cuisine to the next level. If you are in Puerto Vallarta this is a must go! Between the service and the attention to detail you will not be disappointed. Expect authenticity. I ordered the brisket as a main, which is what you see below. Incredible! Of course their margarita's are definitely worth a mention too!! Oh and a mariachi band personalized a song for us for a bit of a fee. These gentlemen were incredibly talented. Thank you for this experience Casa Tradicional!!
