Worth all the hype! The setting is picturesque romantic, we ate at dinner just in town for the gorgeous sunset on Christmas Eve it was perfection! Service was great, flavours were bold and fresh! Loved the mariachi band they aren’t just any band but a well skilled orchestra it is a dream I recommend saving it for a special occasion !

Es Muy Delicioso! Beautiful view, gorgeous space, incredibly delicious cuisine, and impeccable service. We ordered multiple apps and a salad to start and the server had it timed perfectly. I recommend starting with a margherita and then dive into their wine bottle selection. The flan was so light and fluffy, very delicate. Seriously, try everything!

Absolutely must-have dining experience in Puerto Vallarta. The food quality and tastes are top tier in town. Great service. Located on a small hill, the views looking down at the ocean are great complement to the dining experience.

Quite stunning place, good views drinks and food but, why is the service so bad? We almost had to find our own table, we kept waiting for more drinks, they took away my food and I wasn’t finish yet, I had to beg for more water, I looked like a monkey trying to get the waiters attention, it’s like you’re on your own there. It’s not just the food but the experience as well and I did not have a good experience. Not going back 🤷🏾‍♂️

I mean it's Elizabeth Taylor's house there's not much more amazing things to say. But in case you're looking for a bit more it is the epitome of romance in one building. The food is absolutely five stars. It is pricey but it is worth it, to try all the amazing food and different cocktails it was not going to be cheap.... And I had the most amazing cocktails. The View was second to none, they even have a band / Mariachi of sorts that come around and play music throughout the night they sing and it just sets the most amazing vibe for the experience. After you eat you can wander around and look at Elizabeth Taylor's house stand on the bridge take it all in. After we finished I really wished I had gotten the soup. We did appetizers, entrees, desserts: the whole experience was just incredible. Make sure to get reservations because there is not a table to be had. It's a bit challenging to get there so give yourself lots of time if you're taking a taxi or an Uber. Afterwards you will need to walk down to a more Main Street in order to get Transportation as I found after 8:00 p.m. there were not many taxis coming nearby. But a small price to pay for the most romantic evening

I came her back in 1997 when I was 10 years old with my family and I didn't remember a lot about it other than the crazy uphill drive to get there but when I told my dad we were going to Puerto Vallarta he said I had to go to Iguana, and when I saw it was still open I booked a reservation online immediately through OpenTable (Mexico) and put in the notes it was our 10 year wedding anniversary. We arrived and were immediately seated by the window overlooking the mountains and such a BEAUTIFUL view. The food and drinks were amazing and the waitstaff was SO friendly and helpful. Ambiance was also wonderful and romantic but mind the flies! It is a wide open eatery after all. Then when the waiter came with our dessert they wrote on the plate "Happy Anniversary!" It was a great experience and if you can afford the restaurant (about 20 per plate and the 2 of us spent around 200 USD but we ordered a couple glasses of wine each, appetizers, and dessert), then absolutely go! You won't be disappointed!

My favorite restaurant in PV. Great view…best at sunset. Delicious food, I enjoy the braised octopus and short rib. Flourless chocolate cake was exceptional.

I ordered the Iguana drink, Iguana Salad and Pork Shank, my husband ordered the Short rib and cucumber & mint margarita and it was amazing!! This food melted in our mouth and had an amazing view! Staff is very friendly.

Simply the best ♥️ The ambiance and romantic atmosphere is like nowhere else I’ve ever been. The servers were amazing and completely professional. Not enough people were dressed for the occasion at dinner. This is a wear your finest type place… not linen pants and flip flops.

Amazing atmosphere, Delicious food and important service I would go again. I would highly recommend the crab tacos they are so delicious. We went for our anniversary so they brought a plate that had "Happy Anniversary" written on it with a dessert to share. It was thoughtful and unexpected just shows how great they are there. I would highly recommend a visit while you are in PV.

I recently had the pleasure of dining at The Iguana Restaurant & Tequila Bar, and I can't stop raving about this hidden gem in Puerto Vallarta! From the moment I walked in, I was greeted with warm hospitality and a stunning view. The menu is a culinary masterpiece, offering a diverse selection of Mexican and international dishes. I indulged in their seafood, and it was a symphony of flavors that left my taste buds dancing. The presentation was impeccable, and every bite was a delightful experience. Their tequila selection is second to none, and the knowledgeable staff helped me choose the perfect tequila to complement my meal. The margaritas here are also top-notch! What sets The Iguana apart is not just the food but the atmosphere. Dining on their terrace with the sound of the waves in the background is truly magical. Whether you're here for a romantic dinner or a celebration with friends, this place has the perfect ambiance. The service was impeccable throughout my visit. The staff was attentive, friendly, and clearly passionate about what they do. In conclusion, The Iguana Restaurant & Tequila Bar exceeded my expectations in every way. It's a dining experience that I will cherish and recommend to anyone visiting Puerto Vallarta. Don't miss the opportunity to savor the flavors and enjoy the hospitality of this outstanding establishment. It's a true culinary delight! Loved the Elizabeth Taylor picture 😍

Such an amazing night and dinner. We had the corner table that provided spectacular views of the sunset and bay. The decor, the food, the service and drinks were all excellent. A must try is the Poblano Chili and Black Bean soup. At the table we had the beef, chili rellano, crab tacos, soup and squash blossoms. Everything was just right! We hear the brunch on Sunday is great, but the dinner is also a must go when here in PV!

The food and service were great. The filet and short rib is recommended. Top it off with desert and a Mexican coffee.

This was the 1st restaurant we visited outside our resort. My recommendations would be to go at sunset. The mountain side at nite is beautiful. What a nostalgic restaurant, to know that Richard Burton and Elizabeth Taylor both lived there, is crazy. Our server was awesome, his help was awesome, the meal was even better. Order the squash blossoms. You may need 2 orders, they're that good. We loved the whole ambience of this restaurant.

This was my favorite dining experience in PV. I love old Hollywood so I may have been romanced by its history with Elizabeth Taylor and Richard Burton, but nonetheless the food was spectacular, the service impeccable, and the setting immaculate.

Incredible ambience! Beautiful atmosphere, lovely servers and very attentive throughout the entire experience. The evening sky even added some thunderstorms to add to the romantic evening. We will definitely be back when we return to Puerto Vallarta!

Superb! Great location for fancy date night and the history of the place just makes it that more memorable! Although the restaurant in general is on the pricey end, the tacos de jaiba (crab) are delicious and cannot be beat. There’s also an extensive wine list of local and foreign wines. Romance and good food are in the air!

This place is gorgeous with an amazing ambiance and view of the city. It's the perfect place to bring a date or for hanging out with friends. The food was good, but what made it even better was the exceptional service. I would like to recognize Hugo for his great service.

Outstanding! This may have been one of the best dining experiences we have had. The food, service, and atmosphere were all amazing. From the moment we arrived, we knew it would be a special evening. You must order the shrimp pastor tacos…maybe even order two! We will be returning on every trip to PV!

First you need to appreciate that Peurto Vallarta is such a romantic town. Now imagine cobblestone streets winding up the mountain surrounded by quaint homes. Nested halfway up is this stunning restaurant made for memories. World class cuisine that will make your taste buds explode with happiness. Service from the staff is remarkable and I would compare it to any high-end Michelin type establishment. Views to take your breath away. 5 stars and more!

Wonderful atmosphere and the mojitos were delicious. We only had drinks, but the history and the design alone are worth checking out. Great service too!

My boyfriend and I went to The Iguana Restaurant and Tequila bar for dinner on our last night in PV. The atmosphere was amazing, it's a stunning building with beautiful chandeliers and so much character. The food! What can I say besides WOW. I ordered the Pork Shank - delicious, moist, fall off the bone meat with yummy mashed potatoes. He got the Short Rib - equally moist and fall off the bone amazing. It came with a decadent sweet potato puree. This was certainly a more expensive spot, but don't hesitate to treat yourself!

Delicious food and excellent service. Tried the Chile poblano soup and crab tacos. The view and the building itself are also stunning. Came out to about $50 per person (no drinks, just appetizer and entree).

Absolute gem. Hidden away in Liz Taylor and Richard Burtons old villa. The location is grand, the food is amazing and the service is exceptional. Can't praise it enough, this is Michelin class dining at amazing good prices
