Found
this
place
searching
via
Google
maps
and
looked
over
their
menu
online
and
we
were
sold
on
trying
it
out.
We
arrived
rather
early
as
we
had
a
theater
reservation
later
in
the
evening,
and
there
were
only
a
few
other
tables
occupied.
We
were
struck
immediately
by
the
decor,
casual
but
very
well
appointed
including
several
large
trees
that
were
growing
inside,
their
canopies
carefully
allowed
to
grow
through
the
roof.
We
were
greeted
immediately
and
seated
just
inside
the
main
door
next
to
one
of
the
trees.
Despite
85
degree
temperatures
outside,
we
were
very
comfortable
inside
as
we
were
cooled
by
a
breeze
through
the
door
throughout
our
meal.
Our
server
(possibly
the
owner?)
was
extremely
friendly
and
gracious
throughout
our
meal
and
the
other
staff
who
served
us
were
equally
pleasant.
We
ordered
a
round
of
margaritas,
which
while
good
and
strong,
were
not
particularly
special.
They
also
were
of
the
"comically
enormous"
variety,
which
I'm
personally
not
a
huge
fan
of.
We
took
our
server's
(again,
owner?)
recommendations
for
our
entire
meal,
which
we
shared.
The
meal
began
with
an
amuse
bouche
of
what
I
believe
were
corn
tortilla
ravioli
filled
with
vegetables
and
served
atop
mole
sauce.
Sublime.
Next
were
the
chicken
pibil
tostadas.
Amazingly
deep
and
complex
flavors
without
being
overwhelming.
Our
entrees
were;
Duck
Carnitas,
Cochinita
Pibil
and
Grilled
Octopus.
Again
each
entree
did
not
disappoint.
While
my
companions
were
not
fans
of
octopus,
they
agreed
that
the
flavor
and
preparation
were
excellent
and
they
kept
coming
back
to
the
plate
for
more
of
the
veggies
and
sauce
it
was
served
on.
The
Cochinita
Pebil,
a
deeply
seasoned
dish
of
slow
cooked
pulled
pork,
was
divine.
The
Duck
Carnitas
were
absolutely
magical.
There
was
a
hint
of
smokiness
that
really
set
the
flavors
off.
Each
entree
had
it's
own
selection
of
sides
ranging
from
tableside
made
salsa
to
guacamole
to
black
beans.
Also
included
were
homemade
blue
and
white
corn
tortillas
served
warm
and
delightfully
soft.
For
our
first
dessert
we
were
recommended
what
I
believe
was
the
Tamalito
De
Elote.
A
perfectly
balanced
sweet
tamale
with
masa
and
coconut.
Not
too
sweet,
and
a
very
nice
feel
and
flavor.
Since
we
just
couldn't
stop,
we
finished
with
the
meta
chocolate
fondant.
Essentially
the
most
perfect
molten
chocolate
dessert
I've
ever
experienced.
My
travel
companions
have
demanded
that
we
eat
here
again
before
we
leave.
They'll
get
no
argument
from
me.
