Excellent service and food for this night out. Looked like a great place for a special occasion (I was dining alone). The staff is very attentive, and the food is great. I got the Crackling Octopus as an appetizer (which was fine - nothing too exceptional), but my main entree of Baked Ribs was amazing. And so much food! It lasted me a couple of days. For dessert, the Banana Cake was out of this world. I am normally a chocolate dessert person, but so glad I went with the Banana. YUM! Definitely worth a visit - on the expensive side for PV, but worth it.

Forgive me because I don't have the best pictures but trust me when I say that my hubby & I enjoyed our dinner. The chicken was tender and tasty. He enjoyed his steak and potatoes. The beverages were good and the service was great. We celebrated our 9 year wedding anniversary.

We came here our first night in Puerto Vallarta and were blown away by how amazing it was. The service was impeccable, the food incredible, and the presentation something to brag about. We told everyone at our hotel how amazing it was and that they HAD to go there. We loved it so much we canceled our reservations at a different restaurant to come back. Unfortunately our service on the return trip was not as good, otherwise I would have given it the full five stars. Our waiter on the second visit seemed like he hated his job and didn’t want to be there. The food was still great, and we would still give it another shot if we had more time. Just with a different waiter if possible.

Massive menu full of delicious food and a fun atmosphere. Seems to consistently be very busy so make reservations ahead of time and come hungry. The asparagus and ribeye appetizer is a must try and the brisket tacos are phenomenal. Portion sizes are generous and a great value. Staff is very nice and helpful. Will definitely be back.

We had some delicious wine and brisket tacos to share. They bought out a delicious salsa selection in the beginning as well. Great location, vibe and food… the music is a little comical/weird - literally some dude playing YouTube videos to the other TVs in the restaurant. I took off one star because there was a huge health violation sticker in the front of the window.

I’ve been to a few restaurants in my life… I don’t think I’ve ever had a better dining experience in my life. The drinks? Delicious and made tableside. The food? Out of this world. I got the ribeye center cut and ribeye carnitas as a starter. Broccoli on the side. Truffle fries. And the service? World-class. On point. Professional. They anticipate your needs while treating you like a president. Aldair and Eduardo completely made our experience 10/10. If you’re looking for an A+ food experience in PV, you found it. This is the BEST restaurant in Puerto Vallarta. Luis Villa and Alfredo Palomera were absolutely outstanding with their service and attention to detail. Everything from the food, ambiance, decor, service, and presentation of the food was above and beyond. This was truly a luxurious experience. We will definitely return every time we visit PV. BEST meal we had during our time here. Cannot recommend this place enough..you will not be disappointed.

This restaurant has the mist excellent food, every bite is delicious! The ribeye steak is incredible and the dessert must not be missed! The cheesecake is the biggest and best I've ever tasted! I can not give 5 stars because the loud music from the TV screens creates a terrible dining experience, it sounds more like a nightclub than a high-end, relaxing dining atmosphere.

This place is 10 of 10. Great atmosphere, great service, and superb food. The tomato basil soup was the best I've ever had. We ordered filet steaks and they came on a hot stone in a wood box (similar to Ruth Chris hot plate, but much better and lasted the whole meal). We order medium rare because they'll continue to cook to your liking right in front of you. The black salt seasoning was amazing on the steaks. One of the best steaks I've eaten. The atmosphere was excellent and the decor was trendy and unique. There was a DJ mixin' up great music from 80's, 90's, and through today. Super cool feel with an energetic vibe.

I was recommended to come to Sonora prime by friends and finally got to it with my partner on our 2nd night in Mexico. Amazing steak and drinks with amazing service. Definitely not cheap but not expensive compared to premier steak places elsewhere. Rivals the best steak and best service I've had in any restaurant. Thank you Sonora Prime! We will be back.

The restaurant is beautiful but man the food was amazing!!! One of the best ribeye steaks I've eaten! For me it was right up there with Wagyu! My husband had the Tomahawk steak and said the same. Even my Old Fashion drink was one of the best! It was worth every penny!

Favourite dining experience we had during 2 weeks in PV, wish we had gone again! We had Brisket tacos and a wellington burger. They bring the food out and finish it off at the table - shredder the brisket and added sauce, filled the burger with melted cheese. I forgot to get photos before we dug in. Absolutely the best meal we had and great service as well! Highly recommend! They also have a steak menu if you are craving a richer experience.

Amazing quality for a great value. All drinks are 2 for 1. I loved the Absynthe vodka cocktail. Eduardo was our server and he was so much fun. The entire staff was friendly and super attentive. Service was fantastic, especially considering we were a big party of 21. We ordered a couple of tomahawks, a few burgers (the Wellington burger was so juicy -- a must try), lots of appetizers, and entrees with 1-2 rounds of drinks for about $65 USD including a 20% tip (we added that on ourselves, not mandatory). We all left happy and full.

I went in on a Friday afternoon around 2pm was sat immediately. I ordered local mineral water the bubbles were light very refreshing. Next I ordered Passion Margarita came quickly what I did not know was 2 for 1 yippee my next margarita was watermelon. Included with my meal was fresh chips and house special of bubbling cheese and beans, with 6 house made salsas 3 in varying degrees of spice and 3 savory. My main was a Beef Carpaccio it was amazing best I ever had topped with artichoke fritters and caper powder. Drinks were very balanced. Service was amazing.

The BEST restaurant we have been to in Vallarta! We loved everything. The drinks, the appetizers (risotto was incredible as an app) and the steaks. The atmosphere is PERFECT and all of the steak cuts are top quality. We were taken care of but a tremendous staff, led by Antonio, Victor and Santiago. We were there three nights ago for our anniversary and we are on our way again tonight! Going to order the brisket tacos which has an incredible presentation and the locals say is the best they’re had.

Expensive but absolutely delicious food and impeccable service. They give you nothing to complain about. Although I thought the restaurant was too classy for the massive TVs with music videos playing loudly.. obnoxious and unnecessary!

Hands down the best restaurant experience in Puerto Vallarta. From the inventive food and beverages, to the exceptional service, and cool live DJ vibes, this is the place to be!

This place needs more 🌟. Absolutely great from the second we walked in until we left. The service was A+, the food was A+, and the atmosphere was an A+. Prices were great!! Great "play room" with all the kid amenities for younger children. This is a MUST visit when in Puerto Vallarta, maybe even two visits. I had the Prime Marrow-perfection!

This place is phenomenal. Truly top-tier restaurant regardless of country. I had the center cut ribeye - be sure to order cooked temperature UP a level relative to typical US temperatures. "Medium rare" in the US, about 128-135 Fahrenheit, is actually cooked to Rare 110-120 in Mexico. Order "Medium" here for a US-equivalent Medium Rare. This 2016 Opus One I brought with us and it was phenomenal with this food - decant for an hour.

One of the best steaks of my life! Living in Las Vegas we frequent fine dining steak houses with celebrity chefs & this place tops them all! The service was top notch and the food presentation was incredible. I absolutely recommend to dine here on your trip, this will be the highlight of your dining experiences in PV!

The entire experience was five star. If there was a six star, I’d give it. I personally had the beef ribs and they left nothing lacking. Attention to detail, and overall service was impeccable. Highly highly recommended.

Tasty meat and incredible dishes! We came with other family for dinner and had such an amazing experience. Kids loved their food and so did we. I recommend to make a reservation because it gets packed during the weekends. They accept all credit cards and cash.

We came here for Thanksgiving Dinner and oh my goodness what an experience!! The servers went above and beyond to make sure we enjoyed our dinner, even brought my nephew some crayons and coloring book to keep entertained. Jaime and Luis are wonderful!!! They were so attentive and kind, and so funny too! We will definitely come back thanks to them!

This place has some amazing street tacos! I also love the different salts from all over the world. The beans and salsas were very good too. Also give the hibiscus margarita a try! Very tasty. Service was good as well! Will definitely return when I’m back in Puerto Vallarta.

We were here for dinner on a very busy Friday night. The staff were very friendly! The process and understanding of the steak sizes was a bit confusing. While we were told how large they were, it wasn't made very clear that we should have chosen to share them. Would be happy to return here and try some of the other menu items again! There was a DJ and the large table we were at did make it difficult to hear but that seemed to be the party type atmosphere everyone was there for. Food that was did order was very good!

This is the Steak house to go to in Puerto Vallarta. The food is amazing the service is outstanding. A little expensive but so worth it. I ordered the grilled blue shrimp appetizer they are nothing short of exquisite. My 10oz filet cooked to perfection served on a hot stone to allow some additional cooking. I try to go here every time I go to Puerto Vallarta. You won't be disappointed.

This is just my favorite restaurant in all of PV!! Prices are a bit high, not crazy expensive like others places, but here the service & food & drinks are delicious! They always greet you with a smile & they are super fast!! The manager Jose & our waiter Pan (yes, that's his nickname😂) are always amazing! All the meat is delicious & the sides ask for the vegetables & cream spinach!! All the entries are delicious & you get full pretty easy!! And for dessert, god, I don't even know where to start, they have a lot of delicious options, my favorite is the: Crujiente de avellana & Berries Cheseecake! You won't regret coming here! P.S. Drinks are double!!!❤️ P.S.2. My uncle is on a wheelchair and the services and access it's good! They always give bones to my baby dog!

Sonora Prime is a high end steakhouse in Marina Vallarta serving USDA Prime beef. Their menu has changed over the years with the beef choices less than what they were, yet still a "destination" restaurant with EXCELLENT service. Appetizer tonight was Avocado Carpaccio followed by Beef Tenderloin medium, served on a lava rock, with the thinking being if ordered medium, it will be perfect when brought to the table, which it was. DON'T TOUCH THE LAVA ROCK! There was a slight language barrier as I didn't realize fries instead of a baked potato came with it. The waiter explained there were no baked potatoes on the menu but offered mashed. I wound up with both having to send back the mashed as they were like paste. Creamed spinach was graciously offered instead. I had NO dessert!

The service was excellent from the waiters to bartenders but food, atmosphere and value were ok to poor. I came for the Ribeye Cap but they were out by 7:30 on a Saturday due to “limited quantities” which I gave the benefit of doubt. The beef rib taco was way overdone and very dry as someone else reported about their meal last night. My waiter promptly got the manager and they brought me gravy but I said I wouldn’t be finishing it and the manager took it off the bill. Tip to manager that other restaurants offer accommodations like free dessert due to a poor experience but I wasn’t looking for anything extra. Due to a power outage the AC took a long time to restart and hadn’t cooled off the restaurant and I felt bad for the the waiters who were sweating more than me. The table next to me had come specifically for an item in the online menu but it wasn’t on the menus from the scanned menu at tables and they were very disappointed. I also noticed discrepancies between online and the printed menus provided. My ribeye asparagus was good but had a sweet sauce I was not expecting as this item was not described enough on online menu and not on printed menu at all. Cheesecake was fluffy and moist but had some herb taste almost like thyme. I’m used to NY cheesecake so again understandable about different experiences. Truffle fries and double shot Cucumber martinis wound up being best part of meal and so overall the food was OK. Value for price compared to high end NY steakhouses is good but can understand compared to PV local restaurants is high. My waiter asked me to complete an online survey to get a free desert next time in but just realizing now that he filled in ratings with 5 stars so it will be interesting to see if this comes up in any restaurant response that the reviews don’t match. Overall they have some things to work on to become a high end steakhouse worthy of their prices. I plan vacations around all divers food experiences so this review may sound critical but expectations are much higher given what Sonora is touting or aiming to be.

Overall, this is a great spot - especially for large groups. The food was good, fresh, and well prepared. The service was very nice and also attentive. People certainly love the cutting steaks at the table concept. The only problem is it is so heavy on groups that the whole place is a birthday party. It becomes loud and there is a table candle every 15 min. But if that doesn’t bother you then go for it! You’ll leave full and happy.

Amazing food is pricey especially the drinks, 370 pesos for a drink what, for if u go just for dinner and no alcohol, totally worth it, very tasty

Passed by for a casual lunch, the food and service is quite immaculate. They take care of any need you have and will cater to please your every desire. The burger is definitely not the same as the ones in the U.S but it can fair against the prime ones that us Americans have here. My favorite dish is the free beans with cheese they serve it’s unbelievable how delicious they are. Nevertheless this is a huge must if passing by PV.

I would definitely recommend this restaurant for its delicious food and pleasant knowledgeable staff. Please make reservations in advance because I was seated in the walkway of the restaurant, as it was very busy. Not exactly worth the price but food was good so I am grateful to try their delicious food despite the seating. The ambiance was almost fine dining and a bit pricey. The men's washroom floor was flooded with urine even on the floor of the toilet. The side of veggies was awesome and worth it. Plating was highly attractive. A glass of wine was 5oz so keep in mind there is no 6oz or 9oz. Overall I think my experience could have been better during my first visit. It is also an ideal place to celebrate birthdays for adults.

Highly recommend. My friends and I enjoyed a very celebratory, fun, lively, energetic atmosphere with live DJ music and delicious food. We loved everything we ate - the bean dip, the ribeye guacamole, tomato soup, the cowboy ribeye steak was so delicious with special salts, the cast iron presentation of the ravioli was impressive, and the burger injected with cheese was great. Cocktails were great, even better they brought us a second round with confusion on our faces and they told us it was 2 for 1, lol. Thank you Carlos and Eric! Make reservations. Enjoy!

So, I loved this place, not so.mucb because of the food, but because of the experience. Let me say that the food was a 4/5. I feel like the steak could have been seasoned better- or paired with a sauce of some type (garlic butter, bearnaise, blue cheese sauce, etc). We did not like the elotes (called something different on the menu), the roasted veggies were good, truffle fries were great. My husband's steak came with a bone marrow broth which was excellent. But now for the experience- the steaks were served on a hot stone (not all.steaks are, but mine was), the servers sliced the steak for you- and the steak continues to cook while you eat it. I asked for salt- and received 4 different types of salt. My favorite was the smoked salt. At the end we were served raspberry sorbet (we didn't even order it) that was delicious. We did order desert to go and ate it at home- it was DELICIOUS. The servers were all very attentive. We never wanted or needed for anything. Thank you to Mario and his crew. The overall look of the restaurant is awesome also- very comfortable yet stylish. I would absolutely recommend this place to others.
