We are totally going in the bigger portions situation, food is tasty, well cooked and seasoned, sea food is fresh. Liked the wide variety of options, so we got coconut plater, bacon clam chowder, fried fish and shrimp, fish cut and variety of sauce seasoned shrimp and I had orange glazed salmon not so sweet and a bit tangy, really good. You get a lot of free complimentary drinks like tequila shots for starters and digestives for finals. Quite a welcoming atmosphere.

Really well served platters, delicious too! Super worth it for the quality and quantity, and they give you lots of complementary things. Really quick service too.

Fresh seafood options of all types. Service was great as well. It's an open air concept with marina views.

Food was great. Everything was very fresh. Lobster dinner and a margarita totaled about $25 American dollars. FYI it's cash only in Mexican pesos. Plus, free shots of tequila and free desert. Does get busy in the evening so go early for best service.

Fast, friendly service with yummy, fresh food! We popped in after our snorkel trip for a quick bite and had the fish ceviche, Baja style fish tacos, and clams. All were excellent.

The portions of this bustling waterfront restaurant are MASSIVE. Don't underestimate how much 400 grams of straight soft, supple tuna is. That, coupled with their octopus, the perfect combination of chewy tenderness, and the free cup of soup so aromatic it's almost pungent create a wonderful plethora of seafood greatness at a cost unlike any other. Plus, they have free tequila. What more could one ask for! Lost a star because their water tastes kinda weird ngl.

It's OK. The marlin taco was fairly decent, and the ceviche mixto tostada was actually pretty good. Nice cocktails. They only accept cash. LOUD mariachi music, but thankfully they took frequent breaks. Thurs nights is the tanguis night by the marina, so can get quite crowded.

Walked from the cruise port (1.7 km, 1.1 miles) along a major road with sidewalks. Generous amount of food for $40 USD. Friendly with passable English. Recommend overall.

We happened upon this wonderful restaurant while strolling around the Marina at dinner time. The food was fresh and excellent. The portions were large and the prices were reasonable. The service was very attentive. Daniel made sure we were taken care of and made menu suggestions. There were entertainers who performed in and outside the restaurant. We gave them tips but were not pressured to do so. It was a fun dinner out on our vacation!

A great dinner here at El Coleguita Mariscos at the Marina in Puerto Vallarta. Fis and shrimp was cooked right and flavor was great! Attentive staff, reasonable prices.

The food was average. I would not say it was good, but not bad either. The staff were friendly and helpful. They offer 2 free shots per person. The atmosphere was ok, sitting in and looking at the Marina.

Is a tradition for my family to have dinner at coleguita, we had been going to the original, and was good to see the option at the Marina. We tried the chicharron for the first time and was ok to start. Then we asked for octopus, very good, but the winner of the day was the fish that is wrap with foil. Me and my husband love it. Then we left and come back for a carajillos we appreciate the kind attention to the barman.

On the very north end of the marina. We came around just when it opened around noon and it was empty inside except for the staff being seated around two tables. Maybe getting pumped up for the start of the day? Anyways, we got seated quickly and food came out rather quickly too being we were the first customers. We were treated to a shot of tequila and a shrimp broth to start. The shrimp broth is like a seafood soup with a single shrimp meatball in it. It was...okay. We ordered a mango smoothie, fried rice, chicharrones de pescado, and coleguita platter. Wanted to get the Red Snapper, but they were out :( The mango smoothie was huge, but it was really good. The fried rice was okay, I just really needed to get some fried rice in me after eating mexican for so many days. The chicharrones wasn't that great. I don't think I've ever had chicharrones before, so maybe my expectations were off, but it was basically just fried dough. There's barely any fish meat in there. It was oily, and dry, and crunchy. The platter was okay too. The soup was kind of meh, lacked in flavor, the fish in this plate was actually pretty good, and the shrimp on the side again was just average. Ended with a complimentary fried bananas dessert, which was really good, and a kalhua, which is, well, kalhua. Overall, the meal was okay. Probably paid around $40 usd for a family of 4 total. So a decent deal, but you're in Puerto Vallarta, you can find just as a good prices on a much better meal even just down the block in the marina.

One week back we made a reservation for eleven of us at 7:30pm on November 23rd to celebrate my daughter's birthday. We were requested to verify after 3 days and we did. When we arrived and ordered drinks we were warned that we had to order our food immediately as the kitchen was closing at 8:00pm. This shocked us as we came to enjoy a nice relaxed evening. Again we were given a similar warning about ordering second drinks. The food supplied had many deficiencies from what was in the menu. The quality of food was mediocre. At the end they brought a sparkling flame and tried to force some liquid down my daughter's throat, banging the table and clapping. The servers apparently did not know the song "Happy birthday to you". Then they brought out the check without our asking and demanded immediate payment as the office was closing. We paid and left disgusted by 9:15pm. We had been in this restaurant several times over the past years and it was QUITE different. They used to serve a bottle of tequila to each table with a shot glass and each participants could have as many shots as possible. Another positive aspect was a dessert on the house. This they did this time too but it was 11 wedges of insipid cheese cake with a few pieces of straw berries and a few blue berries. We tasted some of them but none of us had more than a spoon full. I sincerely hope that the manager reads this and take corrective action.

One of the best restaurants on our PV trip. The view of a marina, kind staff, and delicious food really set the vibe for a perfect lunch. Will revisit when returning to PV.

This place was a real gem to find close to my hotel. I had a short stop for work and only had a day to spend here so I walked to the pier. Stopped in because it looked busy for a Monday afternoon, and I was pleasantly surprised. Shrimp was delicious, the shrimp broth and chips was a nice starter and I left super full. Service is also excellent. Can definitely reccomend

Very well managed location with a great mix of locals and tourists. There is a festive atmosphere with talented vocalist to serenade you. The portions are larger than usual and the service is prompt, friendly and attentive.

Fish was undercooked and unclean. The shrimp may as well have been left cooking for an hour, way too tough. The house special recommended drink tasted like watered down lemonade. The worst part was the service. After clearly turning down the free dessert they shoved it in front of us anyway. After asking about card and being told yes, they said the tip is cash only. We then proceeded to leave and get harrassed about a tip. Sorry you didn't earn it with the weak drinks and the awful food, and inability to follow directions.

Very rough late lunch on 10/22/22. Directed to QR menu-then told it was out of date when we ordered. Had to prompt for paper ones. Service: very slow to get attention and delivery once ordered. Food: wife's ahi salad great but my shrimp combo cold (hot plate, cold shrimp). Place has lots of great reviews, so hopefully just a bad day for them.

We walked by a couple times and the place was quite busy sometimes even with long queue so we decided to try. Well to summarise it, disappointment is a real understatement! Two out of three dishes were inedible and this is a first! First off let’s talk about the good. Once we’re seated the waitress offered us a shot of tequila. Free booze is always welcomed. Then came a complimentary cup of shrimp flavour stock. That’s great too. After main course they also offered a banana dessert and some liquid in a cup. I guess it’s something sweet cos I didn’t try any of their sweets which is rare cos I’m a sweet monster. But by that time we were all grossed out and lost our appetite. Ok now with the main course…. We ordered three dishes. My Sweet Heaven is a combination grill containing 8 shrimps, a small fish filet (probably tilapia), a small piece of white chicken and a small piece of Arrachera. I ordered this dish because grill is the most basic skill test for a restaurant. This one, although lack lustre, is not too bad (although I don’t like tilapia). The ingredients taste fresh and not over cooked. But I have to say there is nothing special about it. No wow factor at all. Not much seasoning which is ok. It is as it is, grilled meat and a little salad. I believe it could be greatly improved if they serve it with sauces for the different protein. Second dish we ordered Chicharrones de Pescado because I had a good one from another seafood restaurant last week. To my surprise this is nothing like what I expected. It is super greasy, tasteless and so over fried that it taste bitter. We each took one bite and cannot eat it. Third dish is Seafood pasta with Alfredo sauce. This is the worst dish of all three. Even the Chicharrones I could understand what goes wrong. But this one is just absolutely mind boggling! On top of mushy pasta and slimy sauce, this is the ONLY pasta dish I had in my whole life that taste SWEET! I wonder if the chef made a mistake by putting sugar instead of salt or simply used a sweet cream. It is simply inedible. The waitress, while picking up the dish, saw two dishes untouched. She asked if we like to pack it and we say no. Then she ask if we like it and we said no. I believe she can tell by the colour of the Chicharrones that it is burnt. She look apologetic when she took the dishes away. Most restaurants in America and other parts of the world the owner/ manager/ chef would probably come to ask about our experience (which anyone can tell is obviously bad) and apologise. Most if not 100% of the time they will take it out of the bill. But nobody cares and we were charged the full amount. We never complained. We did not send the dishes back which in hindsight we should have. We never made a fuss or gave anyone hard time. We just paid, left and never go back. This is so far the WORST DINING EXPERIENCE I had in Puerto Vallarta.

This seafood was so good it's life changing. Never had shrimp taste so soft and melt away in my mouth. Every bite of shrimp exploded with smoky, buttery, garlic, spicy flavor oh my gawd

We asked for a Tiara darse tuna and aguachile and it was beyond amazing.. the flavor and texture of the food was rich and fresh.. the Cadillac and the sangria did a great compliment to our meal.. my husband is a chef and he can truly differentiate the quality of the food and this one exceeded our expectations

Very busy. There was a 15 minute wait. Breezy on the Marina. Pet friendly. Margaritas are very strong and good. Shrimp pasta was bland but still hot. You get free shrimp soup to begin and plantanes complimentary at the end of the meal. Amazing views. Not as cheap as the rest of the restaurants in the area but that could be because of the good Margaritas.

This place is insanely good! Food is so amazing and fresh! The servings are sooooooo huge and so good! Service is unbelievable as well! Margaritas are also too notch! Skip the more touristy spots at the marina and come here!

Rarely do I post a bad review. The staff was sitting around eating the whole time I was there. Meanwhile, it took over an hour to be served a SALAD. I was in a hurry, so I asked the waiter for my check. He proceeded to sit back down & keep eating. After ~10mins I finally just guessed at my total, leaving room for error, placed the money on the table & left. Food was just so-so. I definitely won't be back.
