I know Los Muertos gets a lot of hype but Concha’s Chinas is a far better beach imo. The water is much bluer and clear enough to see fish, crabs, etc. The waves are calm and safe for those who aren’t confident swimmers. There weren’t many people on either of the days that I went, and there were fewer people hawking goods than at Los Muertos. The downside for some, though is that you can’t really get a whole lot of food over there, so you may want to bring snacks and drinks with you. I went two days and there were umbrellas to rent on only ONE of the days, so be prepared for that. With that said, it is still one of the best beaches I’ve been to in a long time.

Much more private and off the beaten patch than the main beaches and no vendors. I recommend this for solo travelers because it’s safe and away from the crowded beaches in main PVR.

Nice clean, small beach. Either take a public bus for 10 pesos, Uber, or hike down along the beach from Old Town Puerto Vallarta. It is a hike, so be prepared. You won't just be walking along the sand to get there. Great scenery. Pics are what you will have e to hike over to get there. Well worth it

Beautiful beach, not you crowded. Be sure to look for the colored flags, red means very rough. We didn't see the flag, and we had a hell of a time getting out of the ocean. My sister struggled too and thank God she pulled me in slowly. Scary. I'm a senior so that may explain some of this. Lol

If you are looking for a quiet place away from the bustle of porta Vallarta this is the place for you. Small secluded beaches with wild breaking waves.

It’s hard to believe that this beach is so close to a busy beach! There are far less people and it feels much more authentic. And… it’s BEAUTIFUL! The vendors still come by with food and goods, but far less. Bring a towel, snacks, drinks, and enjoy!

Great day at this beach clean sand and the water was crystal clear you have to try the shrimp and fish on a stick y will get hooked on them and cheap 3 for $100 pesos that's about $3.30 U.S. 👍🏼

man were the waves CHOPPY. that’s not a fault of the beach, just a note for Puerto Vallarta water in general. I wonder if there’s a way to put out more rocks or sections so that it’s more swimmable? enjoyed that there was an area to lay down and chill in. parking also wasn’t bad! liked that this beach seemed all ages friendly and had less street vendors.

We loved this beach! Lots of fun relaxing areas and not too busy. Started getting busier the closer it got to sunset.

Long, sandy coastline backed by resort hotels, with tidal pools around jagged rocks & strong waves. Much less crowded than Muertos beach and less vendors hassling you. Take a cooler & some drinks for the day!

Very hard to find. Steep hills and no signs for access to public beach. Rocks every where huge borders. Not a nice sandy beach in the section we were in for sure.

A must go If you're also annoyed by the amount of time you have to say No to local vendors whilst trying to tan your buns on the beach. A little bit of a walk from Los muertos beach, but double with the proper shoes. I only had loose flip-flop for the way back, that was my mistake. Also, there's barely any shades, depending of the time of the day. So go early or be prepare with lost of protection and snacks

The water is beautiful and clear, there’s a usually a guy renting chairs and umbrellas. It’s directly in front of like a timeshare thing though, I prefer less populous.

It was such a nice beach and amazing overlooking view of the playa! We had a great ride up the luxury condo & house area uphill. Would love to come back to live here in this area for a while!

My personal favorite beach.. although parking can at times be an issue. Taking a taxi or other driver during popular seasons is a wise idea.

Beautiful place, never seen it crowded even though it's very touristic. There is a quite good restaurant on a seaside nearby. It could be good idea to bring some shoes for swimming because of the rocky seaside, specially when it's windy, so waves to be considered. Very good place for snorkelling.

Beautiful spot, very little street parking and no bathrooms. Worth if you’re only stopping by for pictures! 💙

Beautiful Beach very calm here there are not much people than other beaches like Playa Los Muertos, the water here is very clear. I highly recommend this Beach to come and have a swim and just to relax.

Great beach!!! The lifeguard told me to get out of the ocean because he was scared I was going to get washed away...

My favorite beach in all of Puerto Vallarta. Beautiful and rocky, short hikes to get to. Very tranquil and away from most tourists. Great place for snorkeling and seeing some tiny fish. Was recommended by a friend of mine, and I can’t get over how great the hang out was on the sand with amazing sunset views.

You have to walk past up and down some stairs from the romantic zone which might be hard for those with mobility issues. But if that's not an issue, it is a beautiful beach, very secluded. The video I took is of a beach a little bit past "Conchas Chinas" on the map but this was probably my favorite beach in PV area.

Beautiful quiet beach with yellow sand and big rocks to sit on. Good for snorkeling (saw a manta!) And just chilling out. Bring your own supplies.

👍 I think this is one of the better beaches in Central Puerto Vallarta, not to say it is a great beach. But... when you compare it with the crowds of the Playa los Muertos, or the rockiness of the Playa Rosita, this place looks and feels a whole lot better. Not too crowded, beach is pretty sandy, thou...

👍 More secluded with locals vs. tourists which gives a nice relaxing vibe. Less people trying to sell you stuff and trees with shade. If you want to swim it’s not the best as the rocks are super painful! But regardless we had a fun few hours relaxing here.
